Norblom's price was the best of 3 estimates I got. Steve was friendly and professional. He asked good questions and understood the job. He also provided me with some additional scenarios about inspections after the work would be complete. He really helped me understand my project better. I would definitely call Norblom again in the future, and recommend them to a friend.

The main purpose of the service call was to replace a leaking 90-yr old lead drain pipe that was enclosed in the wall behind an upstairs bathroom. I had already opened the wall from the back side (which was in a stairwell landing) to identify where the leak was originating and to save costs. The leaking drain pipe was up against a wall stud with very little working room. Yet somehow, he was able to cut out the old leaking section of pipe and fit in a new segment, and tie it in above and below. I left the wall open to be sure that there was no further leaking. It's now been well over a month and not a drop. The second major issue was to replace a very very old and now leaking main water shutoff valve. He took one look at the shutoff valve and a similar one about one foot away and recommended that they both be replaced since they were about the same age. This, of course, normally requires the city to turn off the water to the house through an access port under the sidewalk in front of the house. Unfortunately, a city engineer was not able to nudge the value. The Norblom plumber then resorted to plan B, which apparently involved freezing the pipe briefly while the new valves were installed. Problem solved! In addition, the new toilet innards work just fine, the shower faucet no longer has an incessant drip, and we can now use our laundry tub faucet again. This plumber faced two very challenging situations and some routine situations and handled them all with incredible speed and competence. He was practically running from one task to another. There was zero wasted time. This was not the first positive experience with this company and we've had them out again for another job since then. As some other reviewers have suggested, this may not be the cheapest plumbing company out there, but you get what you pay for. I will always elect to hire courteous, competent professionals who treat your house like it's their own, and no call-backs necessary.

Came home to find a leak in the basement from the kitchen sink above, called Norblom b/c they seemed close to myself and they sent someone within 30 minutes, fixed the problem super quickly and reasonably. Also the plumber took into account that we only need a short term fix since that area is being renovated soon so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Very pleased!!

Plumber was very professional but was unable to clear the clog from the sink. He was did not want to snake from any of the clean-out ports elsewhere in the line. After a long while trying to clear the clog, he left without fixing the problem. My husband came home and immediately cleared the clog from a port in the basement. Not impressed although the employee was very friendly.

By the time he came out, the water heater had dried out, and it turned on as soon as he pushed the button! I had tried to start it over and over again without success, so I guess it just needed to dry out. They came soon after I called. They were very professional and punctual. They did charge me the fee they normally charge to come out and take a look at a problem. I would use them again if I had a job that was big enough to warrant the amount it costs for them to come out.

I had no problems with them, and they were great. They were recommended by another heating company. For the most part, I got what I paid for. So far, I have had no problems. They were very responsive and were here almost in ten minutes after I called. I would definitely use them in the future if needed.

They were able to give me a time estimate because I was the first appointment of the day. No 4 hour window. The installation took some time because of the anti-tip brackets. After we were done, he helped me get the stove to the alley for the city to recycle. I tried to give him a tip, but he said it wasn't necessary.

I called Norblom on Monday morning to repair the sink, which was not an emergency repair. They were able to repair the drain the next morning, and generally made sure that the drain was flowing properly. Overall, the work was done very professionally and in a timely manner.

Charlie came by on schedule, provided the best solution for the problem and provided an estimate. He was very professional and also provided solutions to other wish list items we would like to resolve in the future. Norblom will be our plmber of choice!

Showed up just a bit late but called from the road. Was very speedy once here worked quickly. Very professional.

Initially, we had water leaking into our main floor bathroom from an unknow origin. Coincidentally, we discovered that our water heater was also leaking. We called Norblom Plumbing who gave us advice about how to limit any water damage and set up an appointment for later in the day. They were prompt, professional, performed the work within the parameters of the bid and did not make a mess. We have had no problems with the work performed. We would definately use Norblom Plumbing again and recommend them to others.

He replaced the cartridge in the shower head, and tested it. When this leaked, he replaced the shower head with one he had on the truck. This worked and we have had no problems since

When the plumber, Andrew, arrived, he looked at the situation and immediately stated that I should replace both units while -- in the same breath -- denying that he was trying to "up-sell." He said that there is no warranty on repairs, whereas replacement would carry a 1-year warranty on labor and lifetime manufacturers warranty on parts. Andrew said my Delta lav faucet needed a cartridge -- which he didn?t have available -- but he offered to replace it with a new single handle Delta faucet ? which apparently he did have available?? As for the tub, he looked at the situation from the access panel and stated that this unit would also need replacing. He described what seemed like a complicated operation, involving a stainless steel plate to cover the existing openings, because the new handles and spout would be situated differently from the old. He wondered aloud about the unusual installation of the shower head. I told him what he saw was in place when I bought the house in 1989 (this was NOT the original 1920?s plumbing). I had visions of damage to my tile tub surround, so I asked him to REPAIR the existing faucets. Andrew had to return to his truck to fetch his tools. He said pulling the tub faucet would scratch the chrome. I told him to go ahead. He removed one tub faucet and showed me a little bit of corrosion. He said it could take several hours to fix and repeated his warning about no-warranty-on- repairs, making me fearful of I-don?t-know-what could go wrong. At this point, I told Andrew to stop and write the bid for replacements, because apparently that's what he wanted to do anyway. My plumbing is now back to the way it was before I contacted Norblom Plumbing, except that the house call cost me $97 and NO WORK WAS PERFORMED. This $97 would be credited should I accept any of the quotes offered -- which ran between $944 and $1047. If I had known in advance that this plumber was reluctant (uninterested ?, afraid ?) to make simple repairs, I would have requested a bid instead of a repair call, which would have cost me ONLY $45 for exactly the same result. I would like Angie?s List to negotiate a refund for me.

They sent someone out the same day I called. The plumber estimated that each facet would take an hour to replace, because he had to cut the facet off. The estimate was accurate. Andrew, the plumber sent was pleasant. I also had some slow drains that I wanted looked at. He told me that I needed to call a drain service, because the run of the lines was too long for his equipment. He recommended another company for the work.

Very professional, but pretty expensive. The gentleman who did the work was really nice, really professional, and up front about the costs. The only disappointment was that they seemed to mark up cost of materials. But, he did an amazing job.

The drain in our bathtub was not working, so we called Norblom Plumbing. We had used them once before to fix a leaky bathroom sink, and they did a terrific job. We set the time for them to come out between 10 a.m. to noon, and we got a call at 8:15 a.m. the morning they were scheduled to come out. Norblom told me that they had a change in their schedule and offered to have a plumber come out right away. Jim Peterson (the plumber) showed up at our door about ten minutes later and got to work. Jim quickly diagnosed what he thought the problem was and started to fix it. He needed to use the "snake" to unclog the pipe in the pipes in our basement and was able to fix the problem in less than 30 minutes. After he was done, he cleaned and disinfected the floor where a few drops of water had fallen during the unclogging process. He made it a point to tell me that the product he used on the floor was pet friendly (he knew we had two dogs). Jim was efficient, professional, and competent. Highly recommended.

Contacted Norblom Plumbing by phone after I received a recommendation from Standard Heating on a furnace inspection that my water heater was not operating properly. Since my existing heater was 16 years old, we decided to replace it. They were able to give me price quotes immediately while on the phone for a few different water heaters. They were also able to dispatch a service tech immediately to do the job. The service tech arrived within 20 minutes of the phone call and was very professional. He found a couple of issues with code so I had to spend an extra $160 to replace a gas valve and install a water shut off valve. After the installation, he took the time to explain the water heater operation and answered a few questions we had.

The plumber was fantastic to work with and listened to all of my concerns. He made great suggestions. I would comfortably use this company again.

The technician was good to work with. He explained what he'd be doing and then showed me everything when he was done.

I called at 8:00 on a Monday and they came by noon. Fixed the sink pipe and consulted me about what kind of replacement I wanted. Tested the faucet and couldn't find a leak. He cleaned the aerator and said that might be the problem, but if the leak appeared I could call the manufacturer and probably get a new cartridge since the faucet is quite new. Then, they could install it or I could do it myself. I appreciated this advice.

Got Norblom off the List, and called for estimate, which was lower than I anticipated and well within my budget for project, so I went with it without other bids. Norblom showed up on time, gave detail of planned work, accommodated my suggestions/requirements, explained code and physical requirements, did work quickly and as planned, and charged the original estimate. I'm a fan and plan on using Norblom for another project.

I called and set the appointment. 30 minutes before the due time, Andrew called and confirmed he'd be there. Andrew arrived on time, clarified the task and got to it. He completed the primary task, capping the water supply to the wet bar, in no time (30 minutes). I asked if he could remove the below sink pipes and cap the drain, and he ably did that, too. His total visit was 50 minutes.

Jim arrived promptly and inspected the situation in the shower. He thoroughly explained to me the three options for fixing the problem and what each would cost.I chose one of the options and he promptly completed the work I requested.Jim also very nicely explained to me how to complete the proper (and most expensive fix) to the shower. I appreciated that information and will use it when the time comes.I would definitely call Norblom Plumbing again.
