We replaced our old water heater from Lowes. The installers didn't install it correctly. The water heater wasn't providing a lot of hot water, I called Whirlpool and they sent out a different company to access it, and they couldn't figure out why, so we left it as it was for over a year. The water heater eventually stopped working and we called the installers for help. They didn't want to help at all. Since we have small kids in the house, I wanted to get it fixed asap. I found Norblom plumbing on Angie's List and was thrilled once everything was done and working. They were very responsive, prompt, and very professional. I'll never again go to Lowe's for installs on anything related to plumbing. I'm going directly Norblom plumbing.

Our three-year-old water heater started leaking over a Saturday night. I contacted Norblom, who had installed the heater, Sunday morning. They responded right away and installed a replacement water heater Monday morning. The heater was under warranty but we had to pay for the installation of a new one.

Steve was very helpful. He arrived on time came in looked at everything and made what seemed to be a prudent recommendation... "Don't do the washer/dryer install until the galvanized plumbing lines are replaced." This might not have earned him the fast buck but in the long run, his no-charge service call and the fact that he obviously had our best interest in mind puts Norblom Plumbing at the top of my list of who to call when we do this.

Service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. A pleasant experience overall. We will definitely use this company again for future needs!

I needed a replacement for my aging, low-quality hot water heater and called Norblom based on some referrals and recommendations. They were able to give me an appointment for 7:30am the next day, which I appreciated, given my work schedule. My sales guy, who initially was just going to do an estimate, ended up also being my installer, because I decided on the spot to have the installation done. He ended up being able to do it immediately and called his office for delivery of the new tank from another location. I was impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the installer and the tank delivery guy. It was less than 18 hours from when I talked to their office to when I had a working new hot water heater, and this was not in an emergency situation. I've had many estimates done and the price was comparable to other outfits. Definitely will use Norblom again.

This was going to be a much different review as there was an issue that developed between me and the company, not the plumber, with regards to standing behind their work. They came to my house on three occasions. The first and last occasion I consider my experience with them worthy of an A. The middle situation was one that could have been handled significantly better by the company as I would have considered that one time to be worthy of a grade of F. This all surrounded the same issue, therefore I am not writing three separate reviews. In discussing with a different individual at the company they assured me that this was an isolated incident and not typical. Because of this my review and recommendation is based on my first and last experience with the company and not the middle time. I am chalking that up to someone having a bad day. In the end the company made it right and I am extremely happy with the outcome. So happy that I proudly have a refrigerator magnet and will call them if I ever have another plumbing need.

I chose Norblom based upon the reviews on Angie's List and the coupon they were offering for a discount on service and fixtures. From start to finish they were prompt, friendly and polite and the price, with the coupons, was excellent! We chose to go with the higher priced toilet because of the savings and it was well worth it - we LOVE the new (low flow!) toilet! Yes, there was a subsequent visit to repair/replace a leaking seal. But because of the great job they did on the initial install, I was relieved to see that there was no leaking through the floor to the downstairs bathroom - something that had happened with our old toilet. Jim arrived first thing this morning, as promised, checked things out, apologized for any trouble after the initial installation, fixed the problem and then stayed long enough to make sure the leak was gone. I would definitely recommend Norblom and will call them again for future plumbing needs.

Jim was a bit late, but the office had called and warned me - even though it was only about 5 minutes. He introduced himself and got right to work, hustling between trips to the van for this and that. He had the parts he needed and was able to use the parts I supplied. He did all three fixes in about two hours.

We had a water heater start leaking over Labor Day weekend. I called first thing Tuesday morning around 8:30 and someone was at my house around 9:15. The job was measured & completed by 11:00AM. They removed the old water heater, installed the new one, and cleaned up after the installation was completed. Highly recommended.

Called Norblom to check leak in basement of a rental property. They were very responsive and promptly sent a plumber out to the house. The plumber immediately determined there was a hole in the pipe running from the Fl 1 toilet to the stack. The Plumber then told me they would have to knock a hole in the 1st floor bedroom wall to support the stack and then rework the plumbing of both the sink and the toilet in the basement. They said they could not do the work that day, and that there was no way to put a temporary patch over the hole so the tenants could use the toilet until the approximately $2,000 worth of repairs could be done several days later. The plumber promptly charged me $97 for delivering the bad news and left. I proceeded to successfully patch the "un-patchable" hole with duct tape and the work was completed in 1/2 day by a different plumber (who provided an estimate/evaluation free of charge) without removing any part of my wall. We will have to make some minor sub-floor repairs in the basement, however those repairs would have been required under the other plan anyway.

Great service. Arrived on time. Explained the issues and answered questions clearly and respectfully. Plus made sure not to let our cat get into the access panel. Two thumbs up.

Jim was punctual and professional and thoroughly explained what he did. I asked questions about other services and he gave me useful advice.

I needed to have the drains cleaned which was impossible due to the set up of the bath tub drain-so the strategy to make the repair needed to be adjusted. Jim did a great job of providing me with information, explaining the situation and making the repairs. He also arranged to have someone come back for to clean the drain once the plumbing repairs had been made. They both were helpful and very professional. I also had Norblom put in a new water heater several months ago-Andrew Sweet from Norblom did the installation-he was also extraordinarily helpful and professional. I highly recommend Norblom Plumbing. Exceptional service is the culture of the company.

I found my water heater leaking right before I left for vacation, so I turned off the water and called 3 plumbers on Angie's list to get estimates. I received a quote for a 50 gallon water heater with 12-year warranty from Norblom, and their pricing was more straightforward than other companies that charged based on time. We scheduled the installation for later that week, and they called to ask if they could come out a little earlier than scheduled because they were running ahead. After confirming the water heater I selected was the right height, the installer informed me that there would be an additional charge to change out a valve. Installation was done in an hour. While reviewing the paperwork, the installer said the water heater only had an 8-year warrantly. After a couple phone calls back to the company, they dropped off an anode rod kit that extended the warranty to 12 years. I was satisfied with the way they handled the error, but I'm a little skeptical because there is nothing on the paperwork or the water heater itself that says I have a 12-year warranty. I was also a little disappointed by the mess that was made. Lots of dusty footprints on my hardwoord floor, and the old water heater leaked water all the way out the door.

I had done some comparison shopping before I replaced my water heater. Norblom's quote was slightly higher than others I received but I decided to use Norblom based on the positive Angie's List reviews. I bought my Rheem water heater through Norblom. The plumber called me to let me know he was caught in traffic and would be running a little late. I was very satisfied with the installation and it was promptly completed. There were some extra costs which I anticipated as I understood the quote I was given was not based on my specific situation. For example, I had a valve replaced for a humidifier that was not up to code. I could have had the valve removed or replaced at extra cost. I chose replacement. The plumber mentioned a potential problem to me with the furnace that related to the water heater installation. He recommended I get the furnace checked which I did later in the week. I would definitely use Norblom again. The water heater is working well and is a big improvement over the old water heater.

Jim Peterson gave me the option of installing a new toilet or repairing the old one. I chose the latter since the toilet matched the current sink & would cost less upfront as well. He did tell me that new ones are more efficient, however, & work better than they used to. I was very pleased with Jim's work. As far as price goes, I did not have a comparison, but based my decision on other Angies reviews.

I bought a new washer and dryer from a big box store and had planned for them to install the gas dryer. When the installer arrived, he told me he couldn't do it because the old venting was too small and not up to code. I called a couple of places from Angie's for estimates and decided on Norblom's. They were able to schedule me within a couple of days, the tech was friendly and professional. Took a couple of hours for the new vent to be drilled and the dryer installed with new tubing for the gas. It cost slightly more than the guesstimate given over the phone, but I am satisfied with the work and the result. If I have plumbing issues in the future, I will call Norblom.

I had a very old faucet that I knew would be a bugger to pull out. I was hoping that it could actually be uninstalled without taking the sink off and sawing the darn thing off. Jim was able to come in and get it out of there without drama. I had ordered a faucet on the internet but it didn't arrive when it was supposed to and he installed a temporary one I had there until the final one arrived. Then he came back and installed that one. They were very fair in their pricing for the one visit where the internet purchased hadn't arrived yet and he had nothing to do (my fault for not them before he got there). Jim is not only skilled at what he does but also a very happy guy that takes the sting out of plumbing service calls. He explains things thoroughly and makes common sense recommendations on how to proceed or "if it was my house" analogies. Top shelf. Amy - back in the shop answering phones - is also excellent at her job. Even when I was really frustrated at the whole situation, she took the high road, maintained a very professional approach and helped me as much as possible.

During a visit my mother's kitchen drain when from a slight problem to almost completely clogged. Tried clearing it myself with no success. Called Norblom plumbing and they were able to come out that afternoon. Andrew arrived on time and got to work quickly. He tried snaking the drain from the kitchen but that did not work. The pipe was clogged in the basement. The whole process took about an hour and he cleaned up after himself. Would use Norblom again.

I searched Angie's List for a plumber as I've aIways had good luck with their A-list rated contractors. I called Norblom about a week before the project was to begin and talked to Steve the project manager. I told him that my dad and I would remove the original cast iron tub and that Norblom would install a tub, shut off valves and rough in the plumbing. I suggested that I would call the day before the work was scheduled to see if we needed to push the project by a day and he said sure. I hadn't researched tubs yet and Steve recommended one. I figured it would be good to get one the plumber recommended and I took his suggestion. After we hung up I looked up the tub (Americast Princeton) and the reveiw and saw the awesome reviews on the tub. Two days before Norblom was scheduled to show up I called to confirm that everything was on schedule and that they had the tub ordered. I talked to Amy who found the notes Steve took, confirmed the project schedule and saw that Steve had noted that they had the tub in the warehouse. At home, we ran into a water damage problem that I wanted to take an additional day to repair, so I called Norblom and asked them to delay installation by a day. I talked to Steve who said that wouldn't be a problem. I wanted to confirm that Steve was pulling the plumbing permit because code is very strict here. Steve said he was pulling the plumbing permit but that I would have to pull the building permit since we had opened the walls and were replacing drywall with backer board. I went to the city and did that and scheduled the building inspector to be here the same time that Norblom was installing the plumbing, hoping that the inspector could bless the plumbing rough in at the same time and there would be no delays waiting for inspection. I called Steve to confirm that the inspector would be there. The day of the project, the plumber from Norblom arrived on time. He had his notes of what work was to be done, he inspected the work dad and I did to remove the old tub, and he then called the office to make sure that the tub and equipment was on its way. The plumber started to remove the cast iron pipes right away. Within 30 minutes, Steve showed up with the tub. 90 minutes into the work the building inspector showed up. He answered some questions we had about how we were doing the walls and tile and he looked at the work Norblom was doing and was very happy. He approved the plumbing rough as well so we wouldn't have to wait the weekend for the pumbing inspector to arrive two days later. All in all I couldn't be happier with Norblom's work. About three hours of work start to finish. I checked before writing this review and Norblom charged a fair rate for the tub. I gave the plumber my Angie's List discount coupon and he took it off the bill right there. The project was on time and right on budget. I will certainly call them again for my next plumbing service.

We needed to have a new faucet put on our claw foot tub - we had the faucet just not necessarily the expertise to remove the old one and put on the new one in such a tight space. We also wanted the tub drain snaked, as it was often slow. They said they thought it would be about a 2 hr job. (They charge by the hour.) We were scheduled for a time slot of 8 to 10 a.m. - when 10 o'clock came I called the company and they said they had it down as 9 to 11 but they contacted the plumber scheduled to see where he was and called me back minutes later with an update, and Jim showed up about a 1/2 hr later. Jim was great! I explained what was needed, and he got to work right away. He found a small problem with the hot water line which was going to require replacing the line, or at least part of it. He explained the situation to me, what was wrong and what was needed and quickly found an option that worked well and avoided a longer, more expensive and more invasive job. We didn't have to open up a wall. He quickly replaced a portion of the pipe and got everything hooked up well. We turned the water back on and all was well. (It's an old house, and he warned me to turn the water on slowly in the basement, while he was upstairs at the tub watching for leaks.) As for the slow drain - the exit pipe and trap were too tight for his equipment and he was going to suggest a pipe clearing company. But then he spent a few minutes just trying to clear it with a plunger, as what little snaking he did may have loosened some things up - and he was able to clear the trap. He also took a minute to show me a special technique for clearing tub drains. He was done in 2 hours and the job came to just what I had anticipated. Jim was helpful, polite, fast, and explained everything as we went along. I'd call them again without question.
