Norblom Plumbing

We called Norblom Plumbing on a Wednesday and they were out at our convenience on the next Tuesday. We were told the plumber would be Mark and when he would arrive. Mark called about 20 minutes before arrival to let us know when he would be here. He assessed our issues and gave us an approximate cost. Did the necessary repairs, answered all questions, was polite, courteous and professional. Thoroughly explained what he had done when completed and the advantage to what he had installed compared to what had been there. We are very happy with the results and know that if there are any issues that come up, we can call on Norblom and trust that they will respond appropriately.

Jim called and said he could be here to fix my shower early. That was actually an ideal situation for me so I immediately agreed. He arrived about 20 minutes after calling. One of the first things I noticed was that he put on covers for his shoes. I've had a few other companies over to do other projects (non-plumbing) and none of them cared a bit about tracking in mud or snow. So this was something that I really appreciated. A couple of days prior to Jim arriving I had purchased a new faucet set for the shower. Once Jim looked at the problem, he determined that the existing faucet could be repaired, which will allow me to return the new faucet set, saving me about $100. After getting the needed parts, he quickly made the repairs, explaining everything he had done, in detail. One other thing to note. While he was making the repairs, I was working from home and on a conference call. Jim was extremely considerate of any noise, and even silently motioned to me so he could ask a question. That kind of consideration, professionalism and, well, manners just are not seen enough these days and I appreciate it. I will definitely be a return customer.

I called Norblom last week because I had an old non-functional garbage disposal that I wanted removed; that side of the sink wasn't draining, and water was coming up into the sink when I ran the dishwasher; and I hoped that without the disposal & with new pipes that would be resolved. I also needed to have a water line installed for the water dispenser and ice maker in a new fridge. My first contact was with Amy, who was very personable and professional in making the appointment. On the day, Jim P. arrived right on time. I can't say how pleased I am with the way the whole experience went. Jim was courteous, friendly, professional and efficient. I told him what I needed done, and he got right to work. Jim was very careful to clearly explain to me that even with the disposal out of the way, the sink might still not drain when I ran the dishwasher, because the pipes might still be clogged; and he advised me that Norblom has a drain cleaning specialist should I need that done. But--the sink drains fine, and water doesn't come up when I run the dishwasher! So happy! Jim made sure I understood everything he was doing, was open to questions, clearly explained and clarified anything I asked. He installed the water line, showed me what he had done, and asked if I needed anything else done while he was there. He was here for two hours exactly--with all he did, that's a testimony to his knowledge, professionalism, and efficiency. When it came time to write up his bill, once again he itemized everything--parts, labor, etc--applied a 10% off labor coupon from Angie's List, and went over the whole bill with me. It came out to be less than I'd thought it might be! And Jim is a great guy--friendly, personable, fun to talk to. You don't expect a plumbing service call to be fun, but it was! I will definitely call on Norblom Plumbing in the future for some reno work I want to do. Great service!

It went very well. Mike the office manager was very helpful and he organized the job to be done the next day. Mike the plumber came out punctually and got the job done in a couple hours and we had hot water soon thereafter. Professional and as advertised.

I called to set up an appointment for service. The call was handled very professionally and I was scheduled for the next day. I was given the name of the service person and a time frame that fit my schedule. I was told that they would call before they came. The next day I received a call during the time frame we had established and Jim told me exactly when he expected to arrive. Jim arrived on time. He assessed our situation and gave us 4 options for resolution of the problem and an estimate of what each option would cost. We decided on how we wanted to handle it and he proceded to do the work. He was very professional and very nice to work with. He was open to answering any questions we had and was willing to give us his opinion about what he would do if it was his problem. The work went very well. He cleaned everything up. I was very pleased with the job from start to finish - from making the appointment to having the job complete. I would definitely call Norblom Plumbing again.

The plumber, Jim, was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Perhaps this company isn't the least expensive out there, but I have had them come fix problems other plumber's didn't repair correctly. And they warranty their work. They will be my main plumber company going forward.

Jim arrived promptly, explained what he found, promptly fixed it and gave me the Angie's List discount. He was very personable, professional and competent. Can't ask for much more than that! And he worked quickly. He arrived shortly before 8:00 a.m. and I was in my downtown parking garage at 9:00 sharp.

I had to have two service calls as I hadn't purchased all the needed items for the kitchen at the time of the first call. Two plumbers, both named Jim, came out and did excellent work in both the bathroom and the kitchen. I am only now getting around to writing a review (Jan. 13) and we are still pleased with the work.

Jim Peterson was the Journeyman Plumber who handled both calls. He was professional, pleasant and efficient. The disposal and faucet both needed replacing. Jim explained my options for replacing them. Since I decided to purchase the new disposal and faucet myself for Norblom to install he willingly advised on brands. I appreciated his advice on how to economize on the purchase without sacrificing quality. Jim also wrote out clear specifictaions to help me when shopping. He installed the new fixtures and was careful to leave no mess. He clearly answered all my questions about operating the new faucet and disposal and offered helpful tips for increasing their effectiveness. He was even willing to re-caulk the area behind the faucet which was damaged due to leaking water. We are very pleased with the new fixtures and would definitely use Norblom again for plumbing needs.

Appointment was scheduled that morning and the plumber arrived 2 hours later. He was very helpful, explained how the flood happened and what to do to prevent it from happening again. Excellent service.

Sent them an email Sunday night. They called first thing Monday morning. They had a great plumber at our place before noon that day! The plumber was fast, professional and explained everything well. He left the area very clean. It was a professional, pleasant experience from start to finish. We will be using them for all future plumbing needs.

I wasn't here but my husband said very well.

This company isn't very cheap, they charge $3 a minute, even if the majority of the time they are just talking and not fixing anything. They were supposed to caulk my shower which was leaking. The guy applied caulk but didn't actually stop the leaking since he failed to fill all of the gaps. To top it off, for the small amount of caulk that he did apply he charged me a full $4!!! I could buy a full bottle of caulk for $4, he barely used any caulk when he applied it. On top of the $90 he charged for his 5 minutes of work, that didn't fully fix the problem, I'm feeling a little ripped off. I'll be going with someone else next time, you might want to shop around for a more affordable higher quality company.

Jim P. arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and very efficient in determining and fixing the problem. He had to cut two holes in the wall to repair the leaking iron pipe. He was very professional, worked quickly, and overall did an OUTSTANDING job. He cleaned up everything thoroughly before leaving. In the future, if I need a plumber (hopefully not to soon), I will be calling Norblom again and asking for Jim.

I called first thing in the morning, and they sent Zach to my home right away. He was professional, polite, and efficient at cleaning my clogged kitchen sink. I was more than happy that I didn't need to schedule a "window of time" someone would show up, and they gave me the service call pricing as soon as I called so I knew what to expect. I would highly recommend Zach and Norbloom again!

Norblom was able to schedule an appointment exactly when I wanted one. The worker arrived on time and was able to work very quickly and unobtrusively.

When I called around 11AM for service they said they had someone available the next day but when I told them what the problem was they bumped me up and said they'd send someone out between 3-5PM the same day. They called when they were on the way and showed up early for the appt. After looking into the issue he resolved the problem very quickly and efficiently. The service was worth every penny.

I'm heading out of town for January and am having a housesitter stay in my home. The bath and sink drains have been running slowly. On the basis of a recommendation from the plumber who had been out on Friday, I called Norblom this morning hoping I could schedule someone to come and snake out the drains. They scheduled someone for this afternoon in the window I needed. He called and arrived a bit early (which was just fine) -- He was able to unclog the sink drain with my little plastic thing from the hardware sto rethan the big snake, so didn't charge me for that one. Bathtub running smoothing. He checked all of the pipes upstairs and down before and after starting the work to make certain that there were no leaks. Best of all, he told me how to avoid the sink problem -- he recommended running the hot water for about 30 seconds to make sure the toothpaste got all the way through and wouldn't cause the back ups. Cleaned the sink, tub, and floor when he was done. Great guy! Professional. Only comment is that this is the first time in years a worker hasn't either taken off the boots or put little plastic footies over them.

Jim P. arrived very close to 1. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem (thankfully, not the bath/shower dripping through the ceiling). Better yet -- while he was doing the repair, he noticed that there was a gurgling sound in my high efficiency furnace's exhaust pipe...which could have caused a REALLY expensive problem if left unchecked. Because of this, I was able to get the furnace repair guy out and get a fairly inexpensive fix. All in all -- this is what you would expect from a craftsman. Very personable. Very professional. Will absolutely do business with Norblom again (and, ask for Jim)!

We went with Norblum on a recommendation from the sellers of our home, and they didn't disappoint. They were able to make an appointment right away at the time we wanted--very flexible, even with two guys needing to come for the two different jobs. Speedy, professional, and quality work.

We were originally introduced to Norblom Plumbing when they were contracted by our gas company to install a new water heater a couple years ago. We thought they were very professional then, so we called them up when we needed some plumbing repairs done. Once at our house, they gave us a quote based on how long they thought the faucet replacement would take and came in very close to the estimate. The work was performed to our satisfaction, the plumber was courteous, and we would call them again for plumbing matters.

The leak we had was an emergency, and I had a hard time getting many companies nearby to call us back quickly or send someone out. They were able to send a crew within the hour of my call and they got started on the issue right away, which I appreciated. However, the work that they performed was not done to code, as we later found out when another plumbing company came in to do another job. Otherwise, they were courteous and professional and fixed the leak.

Discovered standing water in basement around 10 am. Called Norblom around 10 am. Mark was here within 1/2 hr. Installed new cap on main line to prevent overflow. Zach was here hour later to clean drain and remove backup. Problem resolved within less than 5 hours.
