Last minute urgent repair on late Friday PM. Arrived promptly and got work done.

Andrew was on time, went right to work and explained things as he went along. I had purchased all the fixtures already and had them sitting on a card table ready to go and provided a large box for him to toss the old fixtures - added plus was he took that box old stuff when he left! He called for colleague to deliver one piece of hardware he didn't have in truck, and within 20 minutes it was delivered while he continued to work on one of the fixtures. Voila - I have new faucets and showerhead. I chose Norblom based upon reading other reviews on Angie's List, and want to post my positive review. PS: I like the fact they have early morning appointments, perfect for working people - you could probably just take a few hours off in the morning and still work a half day.

Very professional. Amy returned my call promptly, and they had a tech on site within 2 days. The sump/back up system was rather pricey at $850 plus install, but it is a very high quality system. Not like a Home Depot budget version. When it comes to keeping my finished lower level (with hardwood floors) dry, I'm willing to spring for a higher quality and cost system. The cost of failure would easily offset the unit cost.

After 6 months of remodeling our master bathroom today was to be the day our new toilet,sink ,faucets and shower head were installed. I was a little worried that something would go wrong because there were a lot of pieces that had to come together. It seemed that the new tile might have to be damaged to accommodate the sink drain. This could have been very stressful, but Jim came up with a solution that saved the tile and made the installation perfect. Overall, the work performed was clean, professional, and looks great! Jim was courteous and very skilled. I look forward to working with this company in the future, and will certainly ask for Jim. Thanks!

This is an old house and no job is easy. Kurt arrived on time and put in some hard labor removing the old, leaking trap. Courteous and professional. I will call Norblom for all of my future plumbing work.

The initial inspection and quote was quick, professional, and it was obvious he knew his stuff. He called to let me know a job was running late and told me when he would be there. He did his work faster than he thought and actually took off 40 dollars of labor because of it! He was a really nice guy and the work looks great. I can't believe how neat he was too with all the mess of taking out that piping. I will go with them again for my plumbing needs.

I had a scheduled appointment between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Andrew was running ahead of schedule and called to see if he could come sooner (I agreed). When he arrived, he examined the problem with our downstairs toilet (I had tried to fix the problem, but the toilet would not stop running). Andrew explained the problem and promptly fixed it. Next, he took a look at the dishwasher inspecting the connections. It was determined the problem was with the dishwasher itself and not the connections. I was quoted an installation price (which would include disposing of the old unit).

This is the second time in a month that I have had occasion to have toilets replaced, first at my daughter's place and most recently at my home. I had enjoyed excellent service and advice from Jim Peterson at Norblom, and so he gets the first call for any plumbing work needed in our extended family. When he was at my daughter's place a few weeks ago, I mentioned to him my need for "comfort height" toilets and what I had found researching on Consumer Reports. He guided me away from Toto, a Japanese manufacturer that gets top grades, because of the difficulty in getting replacement parts, and guided me toward Kohler. He has visited the Kohler facility in Wisconsin and came away very impressed with their products and commitment to their end users. So, I went with Kohler and after a couple of weeks of using them, I am very happy. Jim installed them in a reasonable period of time, and, as always, is happy to explain what issues he finds along the way. He is always positive that none of the issues are "show stoppers" - i.e., he will find a way to solve the unanticipated problems, which he does very well. While the charges are high, all top notch Mpls plumbers are expensive, and Norblom is no more expensive than their peer group as far as I can tell. Also, they are honest and don't load up with extra hands (e.g., the nearly always useless "plumber's helper"). When Jim was doing this installation, I pointed out to him some crazing that has developed on two Kohler sink basins that were installed 13 years and each costs about $600-700. Jim told me that in his experience Kohler stands behind their products and that I should contact them to see what, if anything, they might do. I did that and was initially turned down since they only warrant glazed products for a year. I came back to them pointing out that this was a latent defect and would not have manifested itself within that one year time period. Most amazingly, they charged their minds and authorized replacement sinks! I owe that to Jim!!

I had a clogged drain I didn't know how to find & fix myself. Turns out the kitchen drain was tied into the bathtub. The service technician had this figured out in about thirty seconds and did a very thorough job cleaning the drain. I felt he went above and beyond because the size of the clog required extra work beyond a typical drain cleaning.

They were great. I like that they do not start the clock until they pull up to your house.

J did an excellent job installing a new toilet for me, and even suggested that I didn't need a new toilet (but I wanted to install a more efficient version). He was cost-aware as he installed the new toilet, and took time to give me some pointers on toilet installation. Excellent customer service.

We sent pictures of the old installation and switched from a short to a tall water heater. This got us an energy star compliant heater. The replacement required re arranging the flue, which Mike did in great style. It looks and works better than ever. They were fast and super to work with

I called on a Friday, late morning, and Andrew was at the house by 1 pm. By 2 pm, he had located the problem and ordered the new toilet.

Jim was super! As it turned out, the seal was installed incorrectly on the toilet which is why it started leaking again. I asked about other repairs that it needed (handle fell off, kept running) and asked if it were worth it or if I should replace it. He was honest and said it just wasn't worth repairing. He then checked the condition of the flange and floor since it had been leaking for some time before we knew it; fortunately all was o.k. there. So, he replaced the shut off valve for us and had everything set up for a new toilet to be installed. He recommended a couple models and suggested we pick it up ourselves if possible to save some money and if we didn't feel comfortable installing it (we managed :) he would come back out. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

The service has always been great. They did everything they said they were going to do, and they came exactly when they said they would. The follow-up was excellent, and they provided great service. I would recommend them.

Highly recommend services. Remember to tell them that you are an Angie's list customer. I forgot this detail but he rewrote the bill without any issues.

This is the 2nd time I've used this company, (they came out in March to fix a toilet and I was so pleased with them that I knew I'd use them again, if ever needed). On this occassion, Mike immediately returned my call and scheduled a service man, "Jim" , to come out the same day. Jim was very professional, polite and made me feel at ease, which is a very important aspect of rating a company. He was able to fix the pipe very quickly and left no mess whatsoever! Their price was extremely reasonable and the overall experiece was exceptional. The next day I realized the water heater pilot light went out due to the flood of the leaking pipe before Jim fixed it. I tried to figure out how to get it working myself and couldn't do it. I called Norblom and "Mike" gladly and very patiently walked me through lighting it and it worked! I was so happy and surprised to find someone that wanted to really just help me and not try to make money off me. I tend to be hesitant to use a service that wasn't personally referred to me by a friend. So, when I find a company that meets and exceeds all of my high expectations, I am delighted to take the time and write a good review and share my experience to help others. I truly trust this company!

They came out to fix a loud humming noise from my shower. The shower didn't make the noise while he was here. He couldn't figure out what the problem was, and while I expected to pay for the visit, I was frustrated that he charged above the standard visit fee, when he didn't do any beyond turning the shower on and off and waiting for the noise.

I have settled on Norblom Plumbing and their Jim Peterson as my "go-to" plumber based on very positive previous experiences. Jim is well-trained, personable, customer friendly and customer focused plumber. He is happy to explain what he is doing and what he has encountered as he digs into a job. Since we have 100 year old houses, he is usually compelled to be creative in finding solutions to aged installations. That was certainly true with the job her had to do at my daughter's house. Once the old toilet was removed, it was clear that the previous installation was significantly flawed in that an adaptor ring on the mouth of the drain had substantially reduced the size of the hole, and that contributed greatly to the inability of the toilet to pass solid waste without regular use of the plunger. Jim corected the flaws from the old installation, put in a modern, low water consumption toilet, and now the plunger has been retired and sent back to the basement. Everyone is happy!

They were excellent. We had a new water heater installed within four hours of discovering that the old one was toast. The price was competitive. The person on the phone was helpful. The guy who came to the house was super professional, friendly and competent. They seemed delighted when I said I had an Angie's list coupon. I'm going to use them again for any plumbing issues.

Great! Jim was on time, great with my dogs, took the time to ask what issues/questions I had and got right to work. He also showed me step by step what he was doing, so I know how to do it myself next time. In and out in just under an hour. Norblom is definitely my first call for plumbing concnerns!

Norblom was able to schedule an appointment for the same day that I called. Andrew arrived exactly when expected, assessed the situation and had the repair completed within approximately one hour. Great experience from beginning to end.

Went well; required two trips to complete all 3 projects as initially thought outdoor faucet could be repaired instead of replaced. But it continue to leak so we called them back out to replace it.
