Norblom Plumbing

Contacted Norblom using the form on their website and later that day received a call back to schedule an appointment. I was given a two hour time-slot and on the day of my appointment they contacted me to let me know plumber would not be arriving until close to the end of the time-slot. Not a problem since I was home that day anyway. Our plumber Jim was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He gave lots of advice and did not talk down to me but instead educated me. Turned out our issues were easy fixes for him and I only wish I had more things for him to work on since you pay for the 1st hour no matter what. Even though our job was small, I was very pleased with Jim/Norblom and will definitely hire again in the future.

Called Nobelium and was able to get an appointment when it was convenient for me. I've used them before and they always call when they're on their way. Kurt arrived on time to clear the drain. He worked on it for about an hour. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to clear the clog as it was in the main drain and they don't have the equipment to do main drain cleaning. He referred me to another company which I used and was very happy with. He cleaned everything up well, was very polite and even apologized for not being able to clear the plug. I've used them before and will use them again. I'm very happy with their work and professionalism.

Alex provided a detailed estimate for both projects, and was a great help in connecting me with other trades people for the rest of the bathroom project. I ended up going with a general contractor, but opted to keep Norblom for the plumbing because I was so pleased with the service Alex offered. He was easy to contact, patiently answered my many questions,and offered great suggestions. The plumbers were very tidy, and efficient. I love the bathroom! The basement job was done in a day, and moving the waste line gave me a ton more room to work with. Highly recommended!

Jim was very prompt, professional, and courteous. Understood the project and executed it competently and quickly. Was comfortable with my questions and onlooking.

We chose Norblom because they could do the work right away (our preferred plumber was booked well into the following week). They did excellent work but are considerably more expensive than some others who are equally highly recommended by Angie's List. Andrew was efficient and very informative about our upcoming water heater replacement questions. While we're very satisfied with the results, we have chosen a different, equally qualified Angie's List plumber for our water heater replacement. He'll do the job with comparable quality equipment for slightly more than half of Norblom's estimate.

They did a great job. Everything looked very nice. They left the bathroom exceptionally clean when done. Both times they came out they were very nice. Highly recommended!

The water heater was fine, but the other work was horrible.

It went fine. They arrived within the time stated, performed the work well. We had no complaints. We didn't shop around so can't really speak about the price comparison.

It went very well. We had a plumber over the day before to look at the same issue, but he was not able to figure out the problem and recommended a much more expensive solution. I will continue to use Norblom for plumbing issues and would recommend Jim.

We had only intended to have plumbing installed for our new dishwasher and sink. Our plumber, Andrew, found two leaking pipes in the process. He attempted to repair one of the leaks but was unable to due to the condition of the pipe. The work was done over two visits due to the unexpected leaks. Andrew was professional, thorough, friendly and competent. The work was done well and to our satisfaction. I am unsure how much it costs for plumbing as I've not used a plumber in the past but it cost a lot! Andrew was at our house for 7 hours total; part of our cost includes supplies which were a couple of hundred dollars.

It went very well. The key is that I needed a consultation. I knew when I called them that my venting situation was going to be a problem, but I wanted someone who could give me options, not just come with a pre-fabricated solution. And my first call was a little urgent. I was having some leakage, and I was leaving town in two days, for a week. Mike, when I called, was very helpful and listened well. Evan came to do the work, and spent the time to figure out the best solution -- again, listening to my needs, and not pushing to sell anything at all. In the end, we scheduled him to come back on a later date, because with all the venting etc., it was a project that took most of a day.

The Norblam rep. did a nice job, cleaned up and was very polite, and told us what the cause of the problem was.

On Sunday my old water heater decided to stop working and spew water everywhere. First thing on Monday morning I called Norblom plumbing. They said that they could be out with a new water heater in 45 minutes. WOW! WHAT SERVICE! The plumber came right away as promised. He installed the new water heater, brought the plumbing to the water heater up to code and found a problem with my laundry sink which he fixed. I also asked if he could install a couple of new shut off valves under my kitchen sink. He worked quickly and efficiently and explained everything to my satisfaction. A couple of days after the work was performed I discovered a small problem with the work done under the kitchen sink. I phoned Norblom Plumbing and they set up a time to come back out and fix it. I am extremely pleased with the responsiveness of this company and am happy to recommend them. The process was very easy and smooth.

The plumber was very courteous and worked quickly. He was right on time to start the job as agreed upon at the time of request. The water heater was installed in 90 minutes. He cleaned up the work area, and left everything as it was. The sink took about 90 minutes as well. Our sink is an older deep sink, so I believe that is why it took him longer to install the new faucet. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I will be calling them back to install a new vanity, sink and faucet in the bathroom.

Norblom came out and replaced a 15 year old converted LP water heater that nobody would work on and was broken and replaced it with a brand new Bradford White water heater. I called them on a Monday morning after the pilot light kept going out on our old heater and our service contract with the gas company would not cover it (it was a converted LP unit that they won't touch). After getting my sizes down, they gave me a quote of $825. I mentioned the advertisement on their own web site and got another $75 dollars off, for a grand total of $750. (check their site; this discount is larger than the ''Angie's List'' discount. They offered to come out within an hour on that day. Unfortunately, we couldn't get home in time, but they did come out at 8:00 am sharp the very next day. It took only about two hours to install the new water heater. All-in-all, the service from this company was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Norblom was very helpful from the initial call. They worked around my schedule and were able to come within 24 hours. They arrived on schedule, did exactly what they said they would, left the house perfectly clean, charged exactly the price quoted on the phone, and the water heater has been working really well. They man who installed the heater gave me clear instructions on care and maintenance.

I was very pleased with the response and their ability to investigate the problem. It would have been easy for them to sell me a new water heater.

After my three trips to the hardware store and failed attempt to correct a leak, I called Norblom. They came out within 24 hours. They were on time and repaired the problem within one hour. The service representative was courteous, neat and got the job done quickly.

Jim P arrived right on time and he was great to work with from the start. I showed him what I wanted to have done (I provided the toilet and sink) and he explained to me that there would be a lot more work involved in replacing the sink than I had thought. It's an old wall mounted sink and he explained that because he didn't know what it was attached to, he'd have to look in the wall, possibly install new backing board and then I'd need new sheet rock, etc. He gave me some ideas of what options I had as far as replacing the sink. I decided to wait on the sink and we moved on to the toilet. When he removed the old toilet, he discovered that half the cast iron flange was gone, rusted through. He explained to me what was going on and said he was confident he could fix it. It was a tough job, but after a couple hours, he did fix it. He cleaned everything up well and even broke down the box the new toilet came in and put it in my recycling. I'd definitely call them again.

Norblom is great! The service call was made within a couple of days of calling Norblom and they were right on time. The bathroom faucet that was repaired is very old and especially difficult to work with and we are very happy with the results. Everyone that we dealt with from Norblom was friendly, responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Our overall experience was horrible. My wife scheduled the appointment with someone who seemed helpful and knowledgeable. The scheduling department didn't seem to understand and called 3 times to re-confirm the time of the appointment. After all that, the tech still arrived 90 minutes early, expecting to perform the service over 2 days. We were given a rough estimate of 45-60 minutes to complete the work. The tech (Kurt) arrived 90 minutes early and set to work. Fortunately, another contractor (who I trust completely) was there working and able to let him in. She told us later that he seemed to be sleepwalking through the job and not very knowledgeable. In the end, we were charged for 90 minutes of labor (well over the original estimate) and a ton of parts. My wife arrived home just as he was leaving and felt rushed through paying him for the job without really knowing what he had done. The installation seems to be fine but very expensive and without any explanation of what was done.

Called Norblom after our hot water heater sprung a leak. Representative was very helpful and price quoted was slightly more expensive than Sears for identical hot water heater. Norblom was able to have someone come out the next morning to install the heater. Based on favorable Angie's List reviews and quick response to our problem, we went ahead and ordered the heater from Norblom. The plumber was out the next morning on time and installed the new water heater. The old water heater was removed, the new one installed and the area cleaned up in about an hour. He then did a walk through with me of the new water heater, it's features, and how turn it off and on again. Overall a very professional job.

Went okay, the plumber was nice guy and cleaned up nice after himself. But three days later, the new pedestal sink sprung a leak as the pipes were not installed correctly. Thank goodness I was home to catch it in time. They sent someone out right away to fix it and were very apologetic.

They were great. They came out first thing in the morning and had the new one up and running right away. They covered our carpets to make sure it didnt get dirty. They were just great.
