Norblom Plumbing

Very well. At our request Norblom plumbing provided a sub contractor to do the demolition work. All plumbing and heating work was completed in an organized fashion and with great quality. Time goals were met and pricing was fair and reasonable.

Norblom was wonderful to work with! Jim was very knowledgeable & willing to answer our many questions. The job could not be completely estimated w/o first opening up our ceiling, so Jim continually & clearly explained our options along the way. Jim & another plumber worked together to finish the job quickly & correctly & left the place super clean! I highly recommend Norblum Plumbing!

I contacted Norblom Plumbing at 8:00 AM and a Service Specialist (Jim) arrived two hours later. He troubleshot the water leak problem and discovered the leak. Jim was courteous and kind, seemed concerned about my problem.

The entire project was INCREDIBLE! Alex Blaylock was in DAILY contact with me to make sure I understood each phase of the remodeling and who would be working on any given day. The work done by each of the subcontractors was timely and completely met my expectations. Alex even made an extra trip to a salvage company to find a register cover replacement! The entire experience was wonderful! My punch list only had 3 items to go over before the work was completed!! Alex did a fantastic job of coordinating the subcontractors so there was very little down time and completed the entire project in 4 weeks even with several "unique" issues that were discovered along the way. I love my new bathroom!!!

Naturally something like this is going to happen on a Sunday morning - "Old Reliable" gave up the ghost and sprang a leak. Norblom had done some good work for me in the past, relocating a gas line when I moved my dryer, so I thought of them first. I called their line and left a message for 24-hour help. Mike soon returned my call, answered all my questions, and let me know what my options were. The plumber (a different Mike) arrived at my house less than 90 minutes later with two water heaters - they wanted to be prepared in case the spot in my house could accommodate a taller heater (and thus save me money!). Unfortunately, my vent was too low and I had to go with the shorter and wider heater. Mike worked efficiently and left the area spotless. There was naturally a small fee for Sunday service but they didn't gouge me. Excellent work and I won't hesitate to call them again.

It went very well. The plumber contacted us prior to beginning any work with an estimate of how much it would cost to fix. He finished the work in less time than he orginally expected and charged us accordingly.

The older toilet needed increasing plunging despite replacing insides a few times over the years. I also wanted handle in front due to closeness to sink and "tall" toilet due to back injury. Norblom located, delivered, and installed the toilet, in spite of very small space. They were very professional and personable. Lugnut things on the base are tightly anchored for the first time in years making it very easy to clean. Great job.

I called on a Monday. The person who answered the phone explained how their pricing worked and said that everything was based on time and materials. We agreed that someone would come between 7:30 and 8:00 the next morning. Scott showed up exactly at 7:30. I described the various problems I was having and he got to work to determine what was going on. He told me exactly what he was finding as he was going along. He also got my approval to tear into my hall ceiling before he did it. He wanted to make sure I knew someone who could fix it. After about half an hour, he knew what had to be done. He told me it would take about 3 hours. I told him to go ahead. He worked steadily for the next three hours and he was done on time. Someone else from Norblom dropped off a piece of equipment that he needed. When he was done, he told me to keep a fan blowing on the hole in the hall ceiling to dry it out. He told me what to do if I saw mold and he said I should call back if I noticed other leaks.

Jim worked very quickly and diligently, answered questions, and appeared to be very practiced and knowledgeable.

The plumber was kind of whiny, because our pipes are old and kind of odd, but he got the job done.

Norblom responded with an appointment on short notice (one day). "Jim" arrived within the time frame and got right to work. Hes fast, efficient, careful working in my house, and courteous; what a pleasant person. As I expected, he found the hook up to the original refrigerator was not done well. He provided a couple of options so I could choose, and I had him install the copper tubing to have a proper installation. He also gave me some advice on faucets for the kitchen sink and didnt mind me changing my mind about installing a faucet I had bought and had second thoughts about. This is the second time Norblom has done some work for me, and they have been excellent both times. Plumbers charge labor in different ways and I didnt get other estimates so I dont know how they compare. Norblom was upfront about how they charge and I felt I received quality service for what I paid.

I will continue to hire them as needed.

They were at my house to get the job done. I was impressed that he called another plumber to get the job done within the time period, because he knew he wasn't going to finish on time.

They came when they said they would (a day after I called), were tidy, and gave me my discount. It went very smoothly. The person was very professional.

Excellent phone customer service. Discussed options, settled on selection. Quoted price with a senior discount. The next morning the plumber showed up as scheduled, did all the work (including some changes in the venting), and cleaned up, all in about 1:45. Price charged was as quoted. A very professional operation.

Norblom came so highly recommended from a friend that I didn't shop around or even check their rating on Angie's List before hiring them. She had problems just getting companies to show up to do the bids, so I decided not to repeat that experience. Norblom had someone out to do a bid within a few days. I was very happy with the work that Jim and Dan did. They always showed up on time, answered all of my questions and left a clean work area when they were done. I was especially pleased with how the tile worked out, since there wasn't a match available to the old tile in the rest of the bathroom. We went with a white tile and it looks great. Replacing the hot water heater was "on my list" and Id done some calling around so had my three choices researched. Much to my dismay, I went downstairs one morning and discovered water on the floor. Switched into panic mode, grabbed any loose towels and old rugs and made a sort of path from the water heater to the floor drain for any water to flow along. Called Norblom first since I had read on Angies List that sometimes one of the other companies actually contracted out to them. Happily, the receptionist was very calming and said she could have someone out later that morning. WHM (water heater man) arrived on time, drained and disconnected old "Minnemizer" water heater. Pieces of the old disintegrated dip tube caused some trouble but he figured it out very easily. WHM installed new Bradford White water heater, brought a few pipes up to code size, hauled away old one within an hour or so. Very kind man, worked very efficiently and fully explained everything.

Great experience! Amy, who answered the phone, was friendly and helpful. She was able to send someone out the same day. The plumbers were punctual and came within the 2-hour time window we were given. They introduced themselves and were friendly. The cost we were quoted was exactly what we were charged. We will definitely use them again if we have future needs.

Overall, the job was completed perfectly and to my liking. But in order to file a fair and complete report I must say that scheduling was challenging initially. Norblom said they would be out on Wednesday and then called me from my condo's front door on Tuesday, when I wasn't there to let them in. Abraham, the installer, was professional and on time (Wednesday), did a good professional job and cleaned up afterwards.

Excellent. Work was well done. Plumber (Jim) did good work. Norblom charges on a time basis and Jim hustled to give me the best value. They are expensive, but the work was good. I'd call them again.

The plumber was on time and took the time to understand the repair and why it was being done. He noticed a few other items which did not meet code. He gave me a very reasonable price and completed the work quickly and very professionally. The repair past the required inspection and were got the lien wavier without any problems.

Called Norblom's emergency number after hours and the call was returned by Mike immediately. He assured me they would help me the next day as soon as possible. I got a call from their dispatcher at 7:30 AM the next morning setting me up for the 8 AM slot. Kris showed up on time, told me what it would take to correct my gas leak, gave me an estimate and completed the work as discussed for the agreed upon rate. He also gave me some tips to use in the future and was very approachable. Kris worked hard and fast and was very professional at all times. I will use them again. These folks are really professional and I highly recommend them. I understand why they are ranked at the top in the Plumbing category. Thanks to a great team.

We received three bids for re-piping and Norblom's was the mid-range bid. Pete, the plumbing supervisor, came out to do the estimate and was very thorough and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. He explained the PEX piping system in comparison to the more expensive "traditional" copper piping. He never tried to push the more expensive all-copper piping, even though I said that price wasn't the deciding factor. He suggested a combination of the two, explaining that certain areas would benefit having copper pipes, while other areas would work with PEX and save on labor and cost. He was also very observant of under-sized water lines that were put in by the previous owner and suggested that they be changed and brought up to code. Pete and another plumber arrived on time and completed the entire job in less than six hours. He also scheduled the city inspector ahead of time and we were able to have the final inspection that day. Very professional from returning calls to cleaning up.

Overall, the project went great. I had a small basement bathroom in my home that needed to be torn out and replaced due to a big sewage back up. I had hired Norblom a few years back and also had them draw up an estimate of the basement bathroom, so I emailed them again for a new estimate. Doug came out to see me that same week and even brought a copy of the old estimate. He was incredibly helpful and explained in detail what needed to be done. When I told Doug I didn't budget for framing the new bathroom, he came up with a special solution that involved Norblom adding a back wall so I could add the frames when I was ready at a later date. The work itself went very smooth. I had a number of questions both during and after the project. All emails and calls were answered promptly and courteously. After the project was completed, I had complex invoice questions, all of which Alex helped me with. I will definitely hire Norblom for any future plumbing projects I may have.

Contacted Norblom to check out why our pipes were making a loud banging sound after we installed a new front load washer. I told the person booking the appointment that I thought it was a problem called "water hammer" and asked if they could fix it. The plumber showed up with no parts and said that it was indeed water hammer and he would have to order the parts. We were charged $150 for his time and told that we would need another service call to fix the problem.
