VIKING BLINDS

Incorrect measurements on the patio door blinds required them to send back blinds to fix their measurement error. 4 weeks later, after I contacted them twice to check on what was happening, I received a short email letting me know the blinds should be here soon and that they would call to set up an appointment to install. It took longer to fix the mistake than it did to order product and receive it originally. No customer contact or apology unless I initiated it. Promises for a management call to me were not honored. Great product. Love the blinds! The customer service failed.

Excellent. They always show up on time, and the installers know what they are doing. My one blind had a wrinkle in it, and when I called a couple of weeks later about it, they immediately ordered another blind from Hunter Douglas, and installed a new blind. The new one works much better. So their customer service is outstanding.

Filled out a form to have someone call and setup an in-home consultation for blinds for our new home. Received no response. Did it again after about a week. Still no response. Called the store and spoke with someone who took our information and said the in home consult person would give us a call, which they never did. Evidently Viking Discount Blinds doesn't want our business.

They did everything the way it was supposed to be done. They did everything they said they were going to do, and their price was the best. I never had a problem with them. I rate them high overall.

Very helpful salesperson in the store answered all of our questions and scheduled an in house consultation. Consultant was prompt, and very helpful assisting us in selection. She offered many options and was informative with pros and cons. No pressure, low key approach allowed us to think it over and contact the store when we made the decision. When we placed the order, we were given a timeframe of three to four weeks. They were right on. The installer was on time and had a great sense of humor in addition to his skill and efficiency. He showed us how to adjust the blinds if needed. Overall very positive experience with Viking and the blinds look great.

My husband wanted to go here to look at new window treatments and to get one old one re-stringed. They had it ready in about a week and used the same old strings that were already on it. Now they are much shorter- so much so that when the blinds are in the down position, there is only 5" of string left to pull on, not great if your blinds are hung up high. They were really helpful in the sales department and showed us a variety of products, but we were able to find a really nice solution online and for half the price. For the price paid I would have expected that at least they put in new strings. I used a different company a month earlier and they were 1. Cheaper (they charge $15 a string) 2. 1-day service 3. Used new string.

They were a very reasonable price. They gave me very good suggestions and were very helpful in that way. They installed them all and did it when they were supposed to. They were very fast in doing it.

The experience was great. The salesman was excellent. The prices were reasonable, and the installers were good. The only problem I had was that the shades that came in were unmarked, and two of the colors were similar, so we had no way of knowing what curtains were supposed to go to which room. Also two of the colors were supposed to be white, and they were a yellow color. I called them and they came out and fixed it. They handled it very well and did a great job.

They dispatched someone immediately who showed me samples and quoted me a great price, then delivered and installed about a week earlier than I was quoted. I am thrilled!

Barb was great. Super nice and helpful. The installer forgot to call me so the window treatments were hung later than they could have been. However, I wasn't in a huge hurry so it didn't bother me as much as it might have otherwise. When he hung the patio door blinds they didn't fit right but he was able to correct them onsite.

Marcus (sales person) was punctual, professional and provided us with a reasonable estimate of the total project. He answered all our questions and offered several suggestions for the areas where we wanted new window treatments. The installer arrived on time and quickly installed all the blinds. They look great and we would use them again.

It went very well. Marcus, our salesperson, was very professional and helpful. He was quick to find a blind that matched our existing woodwork and helped us get the best price. His estimate came in much lower than the competition (less by $800.00). He also provided a typed, itemized list of the costs on the spot which was much easier to read and understand than his competitor's illegible handwriting. The installation was free. Even though we had a few blinds that needed to be taken down, we were not charged for that labor. The blinds look fantastic and really warm up the rooms. We are very satisfied. We plan to hire them again when we do the remainder of the house.

When a sales person does it their way, when a customer specifically requests something, it doesn't tend to get them the business. We weren't very impressed.

I was very pleased with the services of Viking Discount Blinds. Linda viewed the windows that needed blinds and suggested types and colors. She was spot-on in her recommendations. In addition, Linda described other window treatment options that gave me design and cost choices. Frank, the installer, did a great job as well. The window treatments were installed perfectly and met my specifications. He even removed the old window treatments before installing the new ones. I highly recommend Viking Discount Blinds. They provide added value over other companies by offering an in-home consultation, free installation, high-quality service, and competitive pricing. I'd definitely use Viking Discount Blinds again for future window treatment needs.

Very good. Responsive, easy scheduling, and the representative (Marcus) was excellent with suggestions and styling.

Overall experience was excellent. The people in the store helped me identify appropriate options in my price range, and they let us check out samples to view at home. They measured all our windows on the first visit, which turned out to be good, since we added two windows to the order afterward. Measurements and installation were quick and simple. Roger, the technician, was able to answer questions about use and cleaning, and showed me how to take down the existing blinds myself, which saved me about $12 per blind. He worked very neatly and quickly, and installed safety cleats in the windows wherever we wanted them. The blinds are pricey, but they look beautiful and are easy to use.

THE SERVICE IN THE STORE WAS VERY HELPFUL. WE CHECKED OUT A LOT OF BOOKS OF SAMPLES AND FELT LIKE WE HAD LOTS FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE. THEY WERE VERY GOOD AT GIVING THE FULL RANGE, FROM TOP-OF-THE-LINE TO MORE ECONOMICAL. WE HAD TO MEASURE OUR WINDOWS, BUT THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY CLEAR. THE INSTALLERS WERE FABULOUS! THEY INSTALLED 11 WINDOW TREATMENTS IN LESS THAN AN HOUR AND A HALF. IT WAS A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.

I NEEDED HELP KNOWING WHAT TO PUT ON THE PATIO DOOR (IT HAD SOME OLD CURTAINS THAT I WANTED TO REPLACE -- BUT WITH WHAT?) THE SALESWOMAN WHO CAME TO MY HOUSE WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SHOWING ME THE OPTIONS AND I LOVE WHAT WE PICKED OUT. SHE ALSO HAD A GOOD EYE FOR A COLOR THAT WOULD BLEND WITH THE OTHER WINDOW COVERINGS ALREADY IN THE ROOM. THE BLINDS ARRIVED MORE QUICKLY THAN I EXPECTED. WHEN THE ORIGINAL INSTALLER COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE MY TIME-FRAME, HE FOUND ANOTHER INSTALLER TO DO THE WORK. THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME I'VE USED VIKING, AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. BARB CAME OUT AND HAD GREAT IDEAS.

LYNN WAS VERY HELPFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CREATIVE AS WELL. SHE NEVER ONCE TRIED TO OVER SELL OR PUSH US INTO A MORE EXPENSIVE ITEM. WE DID HUNTER DOUGLAS SILHOUETTE AND WOOD BLINDS AND NEVER EXPECTED THEM TO BE OVER $10K CHEAPER THAN THE REST.
