Stubby's Firewood

They conformed to my schedule when the weekend wasn't good for me and showed up exactly on time. The wood was properly stacked and not crisscrossed which wastes space and lowers the amount of wood you get. The size of the wood pieces was consistent and a perfect size for a fireplace. The price was very competitive. They cleaned up after themselves and were very friendly. Good experience. Recommended. Will buy from again when I need more fireplace wood.

Stubby’s Firewood is fantastic!! I live in St. Paul and Dennis and his family were punctual and stacked the cord of wood exactly where I wanted it. They also cleaned up my sidewalk and alley afterwards, which was wonderful. A nice mix of dry oak and birch. I would definitely use them again!

Very nice people and even arrived right on time. The wood is excellent! Nice mix of hardwoods and birch, nice mix of sizes. Way better than what we had been getting from our previous vendor for years. They were fast and cleaned up so you couldn't even tell they were there. We will definitely be ordering from Stubby's again!!

Excellent! We got a nice "fireplace cord" (8ft x 4ft x 16in). They delivered and stacked it beautifully for us right where we need it. We'll be calling them again for sure when we need more.

I took delivery of a cord of wood from Stubby's this past weekend. The wood is high quality, is well seasoned, and burns cleanly. Denis and his family delivered the wood on time, and stacked the wood for me in my backyard. I will definitely go back to Stubby's in the future. They are great to work with!

Stubby's was great. First impressions were that he was a bit "gruff", but don't let that fool you. They were on time, did a great job of hauling and stacking, and filled the order and then some. They cleaned up afterwards and brought along kindling that I requested at a very good price. Overall clean and efficient.

Used Stubby's 4 years ago and again today (April 9, 2020). Excellent service of delivering and stacking the wood for us. Very efficient clean up and they sure are HARD workers. The entire cord is well seasoned and ready to go.

They came on time, stacked wood neatly and cleaned up when they were done. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was that they gave me a quote of $200 before they came and when they got there they raised it to $210. They said the extra $10 was to pay with a check. That’s fair, but if they would have included that information in the quote I would have had the cash on hand.

LOVE Julie and Dennis of Stubby's Firewood! They communicate efficiently, arrive on time, deliver a quality product and even clean up after they have neatly stacked all the firewood. We once tried another Angie's List provider and their wood smoldered and smoked. Stubby's firewood is dried properly and is long-burning. We will continue to purchase from Stubby's!!

My only issue was with the promotion. Whether the fault of the seller or Angie's List, the advertised "sale" price was for a cord of wood for $200. This was a price too good to be true, and indeed ended up to be a smaller amount of wood, a face cord. A cord of wood is a standard of measure and really could be construed as bait-and-switch.

We are repeat customers of Stubby's. The wood we received last year burned great! The delivery service was excellent, they neatly stacked the wood so it was easy to use. The provided good sizes of logs, and nicely dried. We look forward to more great fires this year and will call Stubby's again next fall.

They arrived on time, unloaded and stacked efficiently and cleaned up well before they left.

They did a fantastic job. It is a family run business and they even had their kid help out. It was impressive! They came by on the weekend when we were home so it was nice not have to take a day off of work. They worked hard and were quick at unloading the vehicle and stacking. They don't crisscross the wood when stacking. I heard some companies do that and it results in less wood than if you just stack it normal. I have had several bonfires since and it his high quality wood with some birch for added crackle! I was so happy with them and will definitely be contacting them again when I need more wood!
