Black Bear Tree Care

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT HIRE "BLACK BEAR TREE CARE", owner/operator Corey Treb, Jr. This company scores an F with the Better Business Bureau. My nightmare with this company began on Tuesday, October 22 when a representative of "BLACK BEAR TREE CARE? named Ian came to my door stating that his company was in the neighborhood doing business with one of my neighbors. He offered an estimate for trimming one of my trees. We came to an agreement on price for the trim. The next day, his crew showed up several hours late with multiple excuses. The trim job was completed, and one would have hoped that was where it ended. Not so fast. Ian stated that my tree was rotted and that it should be taken down. He stated his crew could do this, and I asked "Today?" because it was already 4 p.m. He said no problem. The owner, Corey Treb, Jr, pulled up in his truck in front of my house. Ian ran out to the truck where Corey Treb, Jr was seated and we came to an agreement on the prices to include the following services: Removal of the tree, removal of all the tree debris, removal and grinding of the stump, and all clean up. They never FINISHED the job. His crew immediately began taking down the tree, carelessly dropping heavy debris and very large branches on my neighbors yard, damaging his landscaping and damaging my yard. The neighbor came out, asking them to be more careful. I called Ian, who had left the work site. He stated that he would speak to my neighbor and they would replace the landscaping "Black Bear Tree Care" had damaged. By 4:45 p.m. his crew was packing it in, leaving over half of the tree still standing. When I spoke to my neighbor days later, he stated no one from "BLACK BEAR TREE CARE" had followed up with him about the damage they had caused to his property. Fast forward to Saturday, October 26, 2013. "BLACK BEAR TREE CARE" still had not returned to complete the job. Finally, after numerous texts and phone calls, Ian returned with his crew taking down the tree. They stated that they did not have the necessary equipment with them to complete the job, stating they would returned the next day at 11a.m. to finish the job. Needless to say, "BLACK BEAR TREE CARE" never returned to finish the job or clean up after themselves or make the damage they did to my neighbors landscaping and my yard right. I tracked down the owner, Corey Treb, Jr, when he was in my neighborhood and asked him when he would return to finish the job. He made numerous excuses.I called him 4 times, always getting numerous excuses about how he can't keep good workers and that they have too many jobs. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY WITH THE NAME "COREY TREB" ASSOCIATED WITH IT! After a bit of research after the fact, I've come to learn that this is some kind of con that this guy runs all over, changing the name of the company when over and over again. There are 2 recent complaints with the BBB associated with "BLACK BEAR TREE CARE". The company has not responded to when contacted by the BBB. They score an F with the BBB.
