About us

Custom Home Finishes is a small up and coming business established in Spring of 2017. Owned and run by me, Guy Hammink. Quality is paramount to me and my company, and to ensure that I do all the work myself. There is no disconnect between who you talk to and who shows up and does the work. I communicate with clients regularly about how progress is coming, if anything unexpected in the scale or scope of the job arises, and I'm flexible about adding or subtracting levels of detail to achieve the price range you're looking for. I take jobs from all over the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. Specializing in single family home renovations, refinishing woodwork (enamel or stain cabinets, doors, trim, etc.) and 3 story and under exteriors.

Guy did an awesome job. Very meticulous and careful. Project was completed as discussed in the initial meeting with us adding a few add on’s. Guy was able to complete those at a very reasonable price.

Work ranging from beautiful to cringe worthy. Guy Hammink appeared to be in over his head with our kitchen cabinet restain. The final result was uneven coverage which he blamed on over-sanding, the wood grain, inability to get products he preferred, and?finally?that he could do better work if we paid more (though we paid his bid in full). He became very hostile when areas with inconsistent coverage were discussed. Furthermore, he has stolen 2 of our cabinet pieces and refuses to return them unless we pay an additional $2300.00 (for work we?ll have to have redone in many areas to achieve the quality we expected. Jekyll and Hyde in his work and personality.
