Northern Aire has been taking care of our pool since we moved into our home 5 years ago. Their communication is amazing and their attention to detail can't be beat. When we have had any mechanical issues, Len has taken care of the problem quickly and efficiently. Our pool is beautiful because of Northern Aire.

This is truly one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. Is no stars and option? They took all the fun out of owning our first pool. First, the cleaning is a total joke. Almost, $1,000 a month for cleaning and chemicals. I’ve attached photos of their “cleaning” a few hours after the tech left. Honestly, horrendous. If you call Len to express your concerns, you’ll get totally gaslit. That pool is sparkling clean! He’ll say as you start at your filthy mess. We’ve cleaned 1000 pools and never had a single complaint! He accepts zero responsibility. Second, professionalism. After multiple terrible cleanings, I stepped outside and said very nicely to the tech, I’m really hoping you’re able to get all the algae up this time. Within minutes, Len was calling me very aggressively asking Are you out there complaining to my guys?! Are you kidding me Len? Your adult male employee couldn’t handle that level of feedback? Ridiculous. I even had one time where the employee did not clean at all, I called Len directly after he left and said is he coming back to actually clean? Len said, it’s documented right here he cleaned for 42 min. I’m telling you he didn’t clean a thing Len. My family has been home the whole time. No! That pool is sparkling. Okay Len. Transparency on pricing. Non-existent. Watch your bill very closely. If they forgot a brush and have to come out the next day… boom… $120 “service fee” for 10 min of work. We specifically went with this company because they promised they would partner with us and show us how to maintain our pool. We kept thinking why aren’t they telling us they’re coming so we can learn? Finally after multiple calls With this question, Len sent his son out the next day at a charge of $180 for 20 min of his time. Please save yourself the trouble and swim far far away from this company. I’m so glad my pool is closed so I never have to deal with them again.

So-So The tech did come out, purged the gas line and lit the heater - That's the good part The Not So Good was: 1 - I had to take apart the gas pipe fittings the tech had previously opened because it was leaking gas. I had to relit the heater just as the tech did earlier that day. Then I got a $ 180 service charge. When I called Len, the owner, and asked why so much, he explained that was his basic charge for a service call no matter if they even just read the serial number of the heater. I guess it was my fault not in asking about that basic charge - but then Len didn't offer that "Minor" point either. My dismay with Len was after explaining the re-work I had to do after his tech left out home, there was absolutely no consideration to the customer nor was there any offer to reduce the service call.....since I did have to re-do the work. I did get the usual "You are the ONLY person to every have complained about our service". I wasn't looking for a free call, but something off the bill would have been a nice gesture. I think Len is use to this kind of treatment. Now to look for a more affordable pool service - and there are several around.

The pool heater wasn't working in late summer, and the company came out to check it out. It turned out to be mice having chewed up the wiring, so that was bad news. But the person who inspected was very thorough and also took precautions, since it could have been dangerous to start it up in that condition. Then later on they also closed the pool- took out the stairs, blew out the lines, etc. They do a good job! In the past they have also worked on the pump and sold us chemicals- at good rates.
Description of Work: Close the pool and check the heater.
