Mohler did an outstanding job on both of our chimneys. They were prompt, professional and courteous, and their pricing was fair. Called to get an estimate on my 2x2' chimney that is only used for furnace venting. Top 6-10 courses are deteriorated. Contact agreed to stop by, said would email estimate in one week. Received form letter stating: On occasion our Company will decide not to bid on a specific job. It can be for many reasons... A phone call would have been nice, or a referral. The may do good work. Guess I'll never know.

Great! Availability for work was good, did what they said when they said, communicated well and excellent quality. You can't even see where the old and new stop and end.

Several times I told John I wanted to be home if we went forward with this project but I felt dismissed. He didn't know about his scheduling and I was concerned about the weather. They came out without permission, I told them to stop when they started the job. They came about 7:45 am on Nov. 15th. The guys name was Nick that came out and he barked at me when I told him to stop. "Who are you!?" I told him I was the home owner. They claimed work that I myself had done. He said he was supposed to come out to do service but there was no agreement for service. When they came out they didn't look at what I needed them to do. They didn't look at the base they only looked at the top of the chimney. He apologized for the scheduling mix up but there was no scheduling.

Great! The team was very professional, and they know their stuff. This company has a lot of experience with chimney repair in our area. During the estimate phase, they explained what they needed to do and why. And they did a great job of matching new brick to the existing chimney when things took an unexpected turn and the old bricks could not be re-used as expected.

Their workers were prompt and did a great job. From tear down of existing to rebuild of new chimney, they were professional and efficient.

Mr. Mohler responded to our request to view and estimate cost to replace failing top section of our chimney. Within two weeks and warm weather, they began the work. Used multiple drop cloths, even under their truck in the driveway. They were able to complete the major part of the project in one day. Second day was just to take down the scaffolding and wash down the brick and stone work one final time. We were amazed with the work effort and the very polite craftsmen team. I initially contacted Mohler Chimney to inspect the outside of the chimney when I bought my house (built in 1925) almost 2 years ago. The chimney had been repaired badly over the years and needed work. Mohler Chimney has worked on several homes in my neighborhood, so I was able to talk with people and see the chimney work. John Mohler informed me of the work that needed to be done and gave me an estimate as to the cost. I couldn't afford to do it right away, and when I contacted them in September 2015 they came out to look at it again and the estimate was the same. John told me the work would start in 2-3 weeks (it did), and they would call ahead of time. In the meantime, he selected bricks that would match the existing bricks as closely as possible and left them for me to look at. John knows his bricks! Nick let me know the day before they came to start work, and it took just 2 days. They were punctual, professional, informative, and did good work. They cleaned up nicely and none of my plants were harmed. The new chimney looks great! I definitely recommend Mohler Chimney Repair.

This is a company that is excellent in every way and John Mohler is a pleasure to work with. I had obtained about 5 bids and I knew within a couple of minutes of talking with him that I would more than likely choose him. His bid amount came somewhere in the middle of everyone's. He is not your "typical" contractor and is not full of the usual "swagger and stuffing" that you often come across in the building/remodeling industry. To my mind, he sets the gold standard as to how all contractors should be running their businesses. He did everything he said he would and more. He has excellent communication skills, kept me updated as necessary prior to starting, and I felt completely at ease throughout the whole process. You will not be disappointed in choosing this company. Seriously - Absolutely no aggravation or frustration. His crews are well-trained, courteous, very skilled, and quick. My "new" chimney is lovely and perfectly matches my 1922 house and I'm good to go for another 30 or so years! Many thanks to Nick and the rest of the crew for a job really well done! I really have not had a better experience with any other home improvement/remodeling company.

Could not have asked for better service from Mohler. The men who did the actual work, Nick and his crew, arrived exactly on time and went about their work. Early on I asked for an estimate of when the work would be done and they finished very close to that time. They did a great job of cleaning up the worksite and the surrounding area. I would not hesitate to recommend Mohler to my friends.

I was called as a courtesy one day prior to when the men started.The men were friendly and professional, and they worked quickly and efficiently.I was consulted as to the color of the new brick, because my old brick could no longer be matched. I was also consulted as to whether or not I wanted stone as well as the brick.The men were at my home for only two days.They did an excellent job and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves.They informed me of a new antenna that I could try that would be placed inside my home. They bought this and tested it for adequate reception before my old antenna, which was attached to the chimney, was hauled away.All the old brick and the old antenna were disposed of.I could not have been more satisfied with their work.

The owner, John Mohler, sent me a written estimate for my project (removing my old chimney and replacing it with a new one) within a week of my contacting his firm. Once we selected his bid he told us what we needed to do to prepare for the work, which was to select the style of brick we wanted - John suggested where we might look at samples. After we had made our choice, John got the needed building permit and then the mason crew arrived and began the work when John said they would and when they completed the work (again, exactly when predicted) the bill was exactly the bid's stated amount. His people were very tidy with their materials, respectful of our neighbors and of our privacy and their efforts have prompted several neighbors to inquire about contact information.

They did an absolutely beautiful job. The workers were very friendly and professional They did the design and we, along with our neighbors are very impressed. We had some vines growing up onto the roof, and they removed those and desposed of them.

We had ceiling leaks around our chimney and had tried all of the stopgap measures, including resealing the seams on our EPDM roof. We got a quick response on the estimate from Mohler Chimney Repair, which was very competitive. John steered me toward some bricks which might match the old brick. I visited the brickyard to check them out and he was spot-on. Rick and his crew arrived a week later and built a new chimney that is superior to the existing one. The new chimney has a stone cap with a drip line that extends beyond the brick. So, not just a new chimney, but one that will actually work on account of the new design. A complete tear down and rebuild In one day! I was really concerned about potential damage to our flat roof (EPDM rubber), but Rick and his crew were very careful. They laid down mats and carpets over the area they worked on. No visible damage to the roof and no garbage left on the roof. This morning it rained a good inch or so and no new or old leaks. Excellent.

John was such a pleasure to work with. He has a lot of integrity and came back to re-assess the bid when we received one that was hugely different. Our bricks were hard to match so he provided us with options that would but would be very costly or a modern alternative that was more affordable and blended seamlessly with our house and the rest of the chimney. His crew does impeccable work. We have gotten numerous complements from everyone that has come to bid out jobs for our gutter and roof. I have provided out references to coworkers that have recent started looking for chimney repair work.

We contacted Mohler Chimney for quote to replace our existing chimney. Mr. Mohler scheduled our appointment and arrived promptly. He offered suggestions on different bricks, colors, etc. Once decided, the install date was scheduled. The crew was very professional. They arrived on time each morning and cleaned the workspace each evening. The chimney top was finished with a beautiful vertical 'soldiering' design and cap. The chimney makes our home look very updated. We are extremely pleased with their work and will use Mohler Chimney for future brick work in the front of our home.
