I had a about six carpenters come bid what I thought was an easy project, but turned out to be complicated. Grant was the only one who didn?t hem and haw, and say, well maybe this? and sound unsure. No Grant said, I can do this and this and this. He did. He was a gem to work with. The project looked brilliant. The new owners of my home loved it and it sealed the deal to close. He was timely, responsive, personable, went way beyond the extra mile. The varnish company put the wrong varnish in the can, and Home Depot gave us some bad advice, but Grant took it in stride and handled it. I can?t imagine anyone else but this master carpenter, Grant, working on your project. Pick him, he's the one! (I did this project awhile ago and truly can't remember the price.)

Josh and Nick were amazing to work with. Every step of the way they were up front with communication and there were no hidden costs involved at the completion of the project. They took their job very seriously and were very attentive to the details. I would highly recommend them to my family, friends, neighbors and strangers. They literally swept themselves out of my house every day. Not only were they two of the nicest people I have ever worked with but they were very professional and skilled.

No response. And we have a major rehab project coming up. He won't be involved.

Excellent work! Professional and quick. After beginning work on my garage service door, the workers discovered it wasn't a standard install but were able to make the necessary accommodations and get the new door in without delays. In addition to quality work, I was impressed that the cost was far less than other estimates I received. I would highly recommend Rehabbers Choice to others.

According to his website and excellent reviews, I though he was a reasonable possibility for a window replacement job. I'll never know. I left a fairly detailed voice message, but never heard back. Disappointing.

He did a good job. The best part was that he stuck to the price he quoted me. Even when he ran into complications in the project, he still only charged me the amount he originally quoted me. That was huge for me since I was doing a lot of renovations on a small budget.

The project went reasonably well. In the end, I love the result. The closet and floor were done as proposed / planned. They came up with the creative idea for the roll-out shelf, designed and installed it. Its an excellent solution for my setting / situation. There were a couple of hiccups in creating the roll-out shelf requiring it to be rebuilt twice to reduce the width so that it would work once the closet framing and doors were installed. I didn't mind the time to do this, except it was all T&M which I felt was excessive given the oversight was on their part.

I went to work came home and the door was installed. Looks great. Wonderful craftmanship.

It went fine, we just weren't able to connect, & selling the house was an unforeseen circumstance when I purchased the deal.

I was informed that the project I had in mind was not large enough for them to work on as they are quite busy with current larger projects. I have contacted Angie's List for a refund.

Josh completely gutted and renovated our outdated bathroom in our 1940's house in South Minneapolis. He is a very straightforward and reasonable contractor to work with. With most renovations, there are issues that arise and we certainly had our fair share, from late arriving tile and a poorly constructed vanity, to plumbing and electrical issues. Not one of these problems was due to Josh. However Josh was always ready with either an answer, or the patience and flexibility to work around the problem. Our bathroom looks incredible. I am extremely happy that we chose to work with Josh on this project. I would highly recommend Rehabbers Choice LLC.

We got a Big Deal. It was fine. Everything was really good. They installed the door couple hours ago. We would happy to use them again.

My son reported that Josh was very professional, conscientious, and punctual. The work was completed on time, and he would definitely recommend Josh to others. He will also contact him again for future projects.

He came up with a creative way to fix the roofline issue without having to replace the entire siding in the area. He did a great job!! He fixed the garage siding and trim so without having to replace the entire trim piece. He helped me get my house ready to sell. He was very responsive and professional.

When the wood swelled during subsequent storm, Josh came back and re-sanded the doors. He did the second call at no charge until the job was at the high standard he wanted. I would recommend him as an honest, reliable, and pleasant professional.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were wonderful. They came out within a few weeks after I purchased the Big Deal. I paid additional over the Big Deal price for this work.

On time, cleaned up thoroughly after job was complete. Very professional. I am now having Josh (owner) provide bid on additional work.

I purchased the $125 special. I asked if there would be any additional costs. When they came to start the job I was told it was going to be 325.00 due to the door required the frame trimming and step rails removed. Not happy but needing the job done I agreed to the extra cost. Then I tried to get him there to start took weeks. He did injure himself and was out one week. Finally getting there it took 3 days to complete. The job was done. At least it was done before it got too cold. I really did not want to write a review because this experience. I can not recommend them. Maybe this project was bigger then I figured.

Despite being extremely busy with other customers and having some trouble with his (and my other) subcontractors at various times, Josh completed all the work and was a pleasure to work with during a very hectic and stressful time. I was pushing hard to get LOTS of stuff done on these properties in a very short period of time. I was working with 3-6 different contractors at one time on three different job sites. And I have high expectations. DId everything go completely smoothly? No. When does it ever? Was Josh good-natured, professional, and someone you can trust to do a good job and deliver on what he says he can and will do? Yes. Without a doubt. I would say his specialty is larger projects (vs. a punch list of little handyman tasks), remodeling and construction and window installations. He's a rockstar when it comes to window installations at a reasonable price. He communicates well, which is not always the case with contractors. He takes pride in his work, which is not always easy to find. And he's a not only a good contractor, he's a good guy.

The work to install the doors were purchased on a great deal. Josh was easy to communicate with and when we set the schedule he was here and ready to install the 2 doors. He was great, plan on using him again! I would recommend him highly.

I would personally feel comfortable giving Josh access to my house without having to be there – and that isn’t a normal occurence for me.

They were to perform a variety of items: 1. install shower heads; they broke one and had to replace it 2. Install appropriate covering/chalk around windows that leaked; they put a hole in the plastic and could not shrink wrap it. 3. Fix three corners of my walls where the typing had come apart; such a poor job on two I had to rehire someone else to do it right, the third they never did. 4. Fix bi- fold doors; they almost completed this satisfactorily. 5. Then he attempted to fix holes in the ceiling left by the installation of new light fixtures; this was something I did not ask for and again had to rehire to have it fixed by some one else. 6. He did reimburse me $100 due to my unhappiness. Then his boss phoned to apologize. | |I would not hire again as he was almost never on time, also.

Josh previously removed an old storm door and installed a new one for us (see previous review). When other plans for a different door fell through we contacted him for an estimate for what we thought might be a challenging installation. His estimate was higher than his usual price for similar work, due to these challenges. He explained what would need to be modified and since we knew he would do good work, we agreed to it. Just like last time, he showed up on the day and time he promised, and got it done right the first time. It is nicely seated and sealed, looks great, and works great, so we are quite satisfied.

Josh contacted me the same day I purchased the Angie's List deal. We were able to schedule the door installation within a week and half of my purchase. They arrived a little later than I anticipated on the day of service, but quickly got to work and completed the installation with no issues. Josh was also willing to assist me with the removal of some floor board from my deck so I could access the space underneath. Once I had completed the task, he came back within a day or so and reinstalled the board, including one new one to replace a board that was fairly rotten.

We contacted Josh to install a vinyl plank flooring product we had previously purchased. He was familiar with the product, and was able to make recommendations on how to install in some difficult areas. He did a very nice job with the installation, which included a vapor barrier beneath the vinyl flooring, and transition strips. The work began on-time and took approximately 1.5 days. He was professional, cleaned up afterward, and provided an excellent quality installation. The floor looked fantastic - no issues. Very knowledgeable and great quality work - I would use Rehabber's Choice for future projects.
