Rent A Husband

Very well. He actually showed up earlier than scheduled, which caused a minor issue; however, he did very nice work! We would definitely hire him again.

Finished ahead of schedule and also patched a cracked baseboard.

I bought a deal through AngiesList.comt hat this company called "Rent A Husband" ran by Stephen Granger at PO Box 54 Navarre, MN 55392 phone number :(612) 237-7003 offered. The deal consisted of two hours of caulking.With that said, we had a appointment at 3:00 p.m. he was late. He showed up dressed unprofessionally which I will discuss at the end of my review. My husband showed him what I wanted done which was my master bathroom, and the hallway guest bathroom. I went up to check on him during the two hours and he said I will be finishing up things and be done around 5:30 which would have been two hours with him being late and not even starting until then. Mind you he took the whole two hours to sand and prep. We were verbally agreeing on possibly hiring him for tomorrow, or another day to finish. Of which he was saying it would be $125.00 more of which I already paid him $95.00. He then continued to work a additional hour without clearing that with me. Trying to get some of the actual caulking done. Because none of that was done when I was talking to him about finishing up at 5:30... Of which he did my shower and around toilet. The caulking around the shower of what he did get done in the shower was nice, and toilet. Then when everything was packed up he talked to my husband and then wanted to talk to me and said "I worked a hour of overtime so Do you have $40.00 ".. This was additional to the $95.00 I already paid. I just went up and got the $40.00 because I wanted this guy out. He showed up dressed unprofessionally with what to appear to be tarot cards taped to his arms, and knees... He was talking to himself and seemed unstable. Additionally, I had some caulking left from where my brother was doing work on my home. So I let him use it not noticing the deal included materials.... I would recommend to not hire this guy if you are looking for anything to be done by this guy. I believe that he saw we have a big house so he would try and scam us. However, I am prior military grew up poor and I have worked for every penny I have. Please do not hire this business.

Everything went great. He can do almost anything and he will give you suggestions to save money on the projects.

Stephen is a jack of all trades, who can fix anything. He has been to my house twice to make various repairs, which did not fit into a single trade. Without him, I would have needed several different people to take care of the tasks at hand, at a much greater collective cost. I give him my highest recommendation.

excellent, Stephen showed up in his funky truck ready to install the faucet. It was same-day service. He's a very pleasant, low-key person.

Stephen did absolutely beautiful work and was extremely reasonable -- about half the amount of another quote we received. The results were perfect and he cleaned up the work area very nicely.

Stephen was able to fix or improve almost everything I asked him to work on and if was a bigger job than he counsel do he honesty told me so. He let me watch him work and helpwd me do some of the repairs myself because I wanted to learn new skills. He was patient, punctual, honest and nice to work with. I have now had him to my house 3 times in the past year.

Looked on Angie's List for "handy man" to replace the railing around our stairs. Sent a message to Stephan at 9:00 at night and he responded back within 10 minutes! Unfortunately, he's not equipped to do the project we're looking at, but am very impressed with his quick reply.

He was phenomenal, very competent, knowledgeable, hard working and extremely supportive. I jumped in to get some of the tree work accomplished (he showed me how and we only had so much time to accomplish all tasks) and he directed me on how to do the work (so exciting to be shown how to proceed) but when we hit a snag, he became very creative and persistent. Stephen is THE most competent, skilled worker I have met. He is good with people also, and does not get thrown when some new element arises (I could not find the leveling part for the air conditioner for a while) but seems to steadily work at what is needed. He was capable no matter what was required, and he is strong and willing to work hard. I was amazed at his presence, which was focused and aware. He was a real pleasure to work with and I would call him no matter the task as he seems very capable with a creative IQ that can figure things out quickly regardless. This is not an ordinary person who comes to work, but a rare, capable, creative, quick study. His work not only made my day but probably my week as well.

Stephen was terrific! He responded to my initial phone call quickly and was able to get my work done promptly. Throughout the process he was responsive and helpful. Best of all, his work was excellent! He left the house clean, with no debris from the work.

Stephen is exceptional! He comes prepared with all of his tools. We hired Stephen for 2 days. He arrived right on time. We reviewed what jobs we wanted him to do that day. After we reviewed the projects he went right to work. He is meticulous. We had a large project for him in our garage. He added many shelves for extra storage. We purchased the supplies we thought he needed for the project and Stephen went above and beyond my expectations. He used every piece of shelving so we got the most storage out of our garage, he had his own electric saw and used it to cut the shelves with percision. That was so impressive. He added floor to ceiling shelves too. He hung up a baby swing and made sure it worked for my kids, he had me come out with one of my kids and try it. That is going above and beyond again. He hung up another swing and had me try it out too! He did other jobs around our house those days and we are very statisifed with his work. We have hired him in the past a few times and he did an outstanding job then too! I would highly recommend Stephen. He is very talented and can fix anything!

Stephen was great in responding to our request. He arrived on time, viewed the work required, and immediately got busy. He performed each service exactly as we had hoped. He was very efficient with his time, and he asked me to check out each completed project before he moved on to the next one. He is also a delight to have in our home -- friendly, respectful of our needs, and always professional. I recommend him highly.

I spoke with Steven on a Sunday night. He offered to go to my rental townhouse the very next day. He went there and did the work, sent me pictures of the work done and I sent him money via Paypal. I live 40 miles away from this property and he made it so very easy for me. His prices are very reasonable and he was so easy to work with.

Stephen arrived early, worked efficiently and carefully, and got the work we requested done early. Then we had him check out several other problems, for which he stayed and took care of as well. He was courteous and enjoyable to discuss our issues with. We could not be more pleased and satisfied!

I thought he was extremely reasonable. I gave him money for the parts, he obtained them for me, and installed them right away. His price of $95 included parts, driving to my home and labor.

I hired Stephen three times in 2015 and will continue to whenever I need help. He is very professional, works quickly, does outstanding quality work and charges a very fair price.

We were very pleased with the work Stephen did for us in October/November 2015. Both projects involved working in an older building but Stephen was able to handle the unknowns involved without a problem. We greatly appreciated the excellent quality of his work and his commitment to getting the job done. It was necessary to return a second time to install the lockset but Stephen came back and did it free of charge. We were very impressed and would highly recommend him for whatever job you may have. He clearly has a lot of experience and his clients greatly benefit from his ability to handle whatever comes up. We would not hesitate to hire him again in the future. He does a great job.

Fixed a long list around a house we just moved into. Worked quickly and thoroughly.

Mr. Granger did a fine job, for a very reasonable price. It involved filling the two holes made by a woodpecker and covering the damage with flashing and putty, then re-painting. I rented a 36' ladder since his was not tall enough.

From his flexibility as to appointment time, to his punctuality, creativity and affordability, he is remarkable. He does the work without charging an arm and a leg. He is a fast worker, too. He really is a rent-a-husband!! I will definitely use him again.

He was prompt, professional, did a great job, worked with my husband who is a carpenter, and also gave him great praise. I was so pleased. Couldn't get anyone else to do it!

This project required getting on a tall ladder. I found Stephen's name on Angie's List. I spoke to him by phone, and he readily agreed to do the work. He arrived on time, and after assessing the project, went to get a taller ladder. He came back promptly and completed the work in about an hour. He was pleasant and easy to work with.

I called and left a message on September 1. On September 2, a received a call back at 9:38 pm. This is not just unprofessional, I'm pretty sure it's illegal.
