Rent A Husband

Stephen Granger assured both my husband and myself that he had done this kind of work in the past. The work that he did lacked the craftsmanship that one would expect. He was here for 2days the work is not completed and the cost was $690 dollars. The sad part is that we now have to hire another contractor to redo the work that was done and finish the job. Stephen is probably good doing odd jobs but taping and mudding he is not.

I sent several emails and he responded once with a date that didn't work and then never responded after that. Angie's List processed a refund on 4/18/17.

Stephen replaced the exhaust fan in our bathroom that was a bit of a project - it really was a two person job, but being alone he had to go back and forth a few times stretching out the time used, but he completed the install more than satisfactorily, and then put an indoor outlet in for us...we also wanted an outdoor outlet installed but since the exhaust fan took so long Stephen had used the time he had allotted and had to leave, but we are certain he will come back soon to finish up...

Good.. Looks great! I didn't anticipate it taking as long as it did and it went over by 2 hours.. So it cost more than I originally had planned. But it looked great and I'm very happy with the result.

Stephen arrived on time. Very knowledgeable and did a very professional job.

It went well. I knew there would have to be some parts purchased because the door need to be removed. He was pretty productive while he was here. He was really focused on the work and did a good job. He was late, he did call but it was traffic related.

The work was done as I wanted, and i must note that it was completed with hardly a trace of dirt in places it didn't belong. He also found a nest of bees I was unaware of and removed a decorative fence that was past its prime.

Faucet works great. Used quality (copper) materials. The deck is stable and safe. I would definitely hire him again.

Wonderful. I am handicapped and Steve arrived, understood what I needed and got right to work. He checked with me periodically to make sure everything was placed correctly (it was), fast, efficient and very neat.

Better than expected. Worked out a way to minimize cut in the wall. Well done.

It was a small job but went very well.

He never responded to three emails I sent to set up a time over two week period.

I have paid $75 for service, but have not been contacted in response to suggested service dates, have not recieved a response to emails sent to provider. I would like my Money back.

Stephen used a grout saw to remove the darker grout, which brightened it up immediately. It was 3 hours of dusty, noisy work, and he vacuumed the bathroom when he was done. Very professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and hard-working. He called to say he was running 25 minutes behind, which wasn't a problem for me.

Hung two mirrors with "French cleat" flush setup. Great work.

The work was not only done just like I needed but much, much more. Steven made certain that I understood how the new deadbolt worked and how to replace the battery. He actually had me do the work so that I would really understand. Then he noticed that the storm door did not close completely and fixed that [not on my list]. Next he cleaned up completely. In the bathroom he made certain that the placement of the three towel bars was exactly where I needed it. He cleaned up everything, including vacuuming up the sheetrock dust. Then he noticed that my sink wasn't draining properly and fixed that. In summary, he exceeded every expectation and I will never need to hire anyone but him in the future. I'm so glad he's there.

My appointment all went great. Stephen was very hard working and professional. He really is very skilled in many types of home repair. He will be my go to handyman from now on.

Stephen, the owner, did caulking in our bathroom. Work looks very professional, everything was left very clean. Stephen was also very easy to coordinate/schedule with, and was responsive. Highly recommended!

Stephen came on time, even a little early, and completed everything on my list in 2 hours. I am very happy with his work.

Very prompt, Easy to communicate the needed jobs to, worked fast and efficiently. Very considerate with letting my dog sniff him so she could settle down. She's young, 50 pounds and not very mannerly so I did put her in her kennel when he was up on the ladder and painting. The last repair person insisted I put her in her kennel before he walked in the door so she was scared for me and barked the whole time. Awful. Stephen was great with her so that was nice. I knew ahead of time the 3 hours deal would not be enough time so was not surprised when I needed to pay him for an additional 2 hours. The only reason I would not hire again is that I think he was allergic to something - probably dusty rafters from the basement smoke alarm? He coughed a LOT and I had to see if he was okay. He didn't ask me to call him back for ther jobs- I would recommend him for others though.

-Upon our initial conversations, I could tell he was not comfortable performing any jobs too complicated (or I got the vibe it would take way longer than 2-3 hours) -Upon arrival, instead of building a rapport, as soon as I shook his hand he said "point me to the job" (which is fine for some homeowners, but it wasn't very comfortable having him in our home) -A little disappointed that the things we really wanted to do would've either taken him too long or he did not feel comfortable doing; -He worked much slower than expected, so it didn't feel like we really got a deal (took almost an hour to put anchors in the wall for the 1 mirror and 1 or 2 curtains) -For the things that were done, they were done pretty well (although I think I could've just asked a friend to help do these things) -He wasn't very friendly especially when introduced to my partner -Towards the end of our time, I guess he wanted to "inspect" the jammed doors we asked to be fixed; but he just kept opening and slamming them very loudly and forcefully until the rest of the time was up....

The work went really well. Stephen called as soon as he realized he was going to be late and we reset the timeline for later that day. He made other recommendations and kept me updated on the progress of the various projects I had listed. He cleaned up when he was done and met all my expectations.

This was a dirty tedious job in a cramped dim space which Steven dealt with happily and quickly. This guy is the real deal. I recommend him whole-heartedly.
