Stephan was great. I had to go out of town for the day and I unlocked my home for him to go in and work. Stephan went there as planned and did everything on my list. This home was vacant for a few months and I told Stephan it needs to be made livable and he went and looked around for things that needed attention. He tightened a handrail that was loose and nailed up a cover on the ceiling that goes to a crawl space. He also replaced a showerhead and door knob (he saw it on the bathroom counter and figured it needed to be done, which it did.) I was very pleased with his work. I actually liked the fact that he noticed things that needed to be done in this home to make it safe and livable. He did everything in 10 hours and and his price was very reasonable. I will definitely be calling him again. He was a very nice and trustworthy man and really seems knows to know what he is doing.

First, Stephen came to do a walk-through and look at the list of projects that we had in mind. During that time, he actually gave suggestions about how we could address the problems ourselves quickly and with no/low cost or impact. For instance, our new sink faucet has been spraying all over the counter. I thought we would have to replace the faucet, but he suggested installing a low-flow nozzle. (Duh) It worked! It might not be a great business model, but I appreciated it. Our biggest challenge was replacing our side garage door. We have a old stucco garage and the side door is an odd size. We have replaced the solid-core door 3 times before, but the bottom kept rotting out and water leaked from our patio onto the garage floor. We decided to order a fiberglass door and fix the problem for good. Actually ordering the door took 1/2 dozen trips to Home Depot and a lot of problem solving because of the odd size. Stephen came by 2-3 times to measure and help strategize. When the door arrived, he spent one of the most brutally hot days of August installing it. He came back a few weeks later to tear out the crumbling threshold for the same door and pour a new one. We are thrilled! The garage is secure and we no longer have a wet garage floor.

Great, he was efficient, knowlegdable and even let my son help with a safe small aspect of handywork.

I called Stephen about a light fixture that wasn't working and explained that we weren't sure why. Over the phone, he diagnosed the most likely issue as the dimmer switch, and we agreed that he would go ahead and purchase a new dimmer and bring it with him since it was inexpensive and that way he wouldn't have to go out again for parts. He then called on the Sunday prior to our appointment and explained he'd been called out of town and asked if we could reschedule for a few days later. That was fine with me. However, on the new appointment day, the time came and went with no contact. It was over the weekend, so I figured I would call on Monday and make sure I had the date correct. The next day (Sunday) he called and asked if I still wanted to fix the dimmer, as he could come right then after stopping at the hardware store. It turns out he was delayed out of town and that's why he missed the appointment. He did a good job of replacing the dimmer after testing the circuit without the dimmer in it to be sure that was the issue. He also installed a green ground wire in the box since there wasn't one. While he was at the house, he also looked at another fixture's electrical box since we had a question about it, which he answered. After I had paid him, he went out to his truck and sat there for a while (filling out paperwork, I assume). Then he came back to the door and offered me information on a direct sales opportunity with contact information for a third party. I didn't think that was very professional. Stephen's work was fine, and his pricing is good. However because he missed an appointment without contacting us (so we were putting other things on hold) and because of the direct sales thing, we will probably go with other handyman services in the future.

I had Stephen come out in 2 phases. The first was for a deal, and the second was for some follow-up drywall work at his standard rate. He did an ok jobb on the drywall stuff, but it went reallyslow. I grew up working in the trades, so I have a good idea of how things can be done. Since his overall rate was quite low, I was still happy with the result, but I opted to hire a drywall person to finish it. He did a good job of running the drain line for my sump pump in PVC. I had him return, to finish some wallpaper removal- I had already pulled the paper and removed much of the glue, but I was looking for him to finish it as I did not have time. I was not at all pleased with the progress he made in the time he worked on it, but I chalked it up to lack of experience as he said my drywall guy had given him a tip that made the process easier. Work wise,like most handymen, I think he does better at some things than others. Best to inquire as to experience in a particular area. Communications wise, I was not very happy- he was very slow to respond to phone calls, email response was much worse if at all, but he admitted that he did not really use email when I had asked him about it which explained that. When on site, I really did not get straight answers to my questions and guidance on how I wanted the work done- Possibly just a personality thing, but I will not be hiring him again.

Stephen was punctual and replaced it a very reasonable price.. Will call him again.....

I left a message with this provider with the details of our maintenance issue and he did not bother to return my call.

This past summer's primary project was deck repair. The deck had developed quite a few rotting boards, so it was time to either replace them or soon the entire deck would need replacing. He worked in multiple installments to remove and replace the bad boards. He clearly has substantial carpentry experience and worked diligently while on the job.

My experience went very well. They were able to take care of the leak in the window. The staff was friendly and professional. I would recommend this company to others.

He did a fabulous job. Very methodical and detail oriented. He isn't exactly speedy, but what he does is near perfect! He was very pleasant and thoughtful. He did have to do the work over a few days as there was so much to do. In that space he had to postpone coming due to another commitment but was very good about letting me know ahead of time and making arrangements for another day. He seems to be a very gentle soul and does seem to talk to himself, so might be a little to hippy like or meditative for some people. For me anyone that much of a perfectionist that cares about his customer and doesn't charge exorbitant fees is someone I will trust and use again!

He did an excellent job. I originally scheduled for him to come at the end of June but we had a ton of rain and the backyard was totally saturated. I called to see what he wanted to do and he was really flexible and rescheduled for the end of July. He came for two days and was able to complete the project. I still have some hours left even and he told me to call him to use the rest when I needed. Very personable and recommended other things he noticed that I could improve around my yard/exterior of my house as well (but was never pushy) As others have mentioned, he doesn't look like your typical handyman, but boy does he get the job done!

Stephen was able to fit us on his schedule with very short notice, which was appreciated. Very reasonably priced, worked hard until the job was done.

Stephen completed all repairs well. He was very knowledgeable and competent and I was pleased with his work. Our only problem was in the scheduling. I had purchased 20 hours of handyman services and I had assumed that they would be consecutive hours and this was not the case. The work was completed over 3 week period with multiple visits. (I have to assume some responsibility for this for not asking for consecutive hours at the beginning.)

Great! Stephen is a fantastic handyman...all of his work was excellent. I loved that he just fixed broken things that he happened upon in our house!!! Very prompt, fair, and responsible.

Did not seem interested in helping me. Seemed somewhat bothered by being here. gave some good suggestions on how I could fix some things on my own.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was more like 5 hours because I asked him to do some additional things and he was very good. He could recommend the correct materials, he knew exactly this kind of stripping and not that, why this lock is better than that one, that kind of thing. He did so much work for such a modest price. I guess it was $125 because of the additional work I requested but I still felt that it was an excellent deal. Labor itself is the most costly part of a lot of these services and I felt that he was quite reasonable with the time that he spent. He went about his work quietly and got it done and asked questions when he needed to and also he seemed to be a true handyman. He knew what type of materials and things that were needed and what was better than others. He would be the definition of a good handyman, I think he knows his stuff.

I think this list would have taken anyone else at least 40 hours! He's efficient with his time, and very, very effective. All work was outstanding.

He was prompt and professional. It took most of the day and he kept at the work. We will have him back.
