Upon contacting Steve he was very flexible around our schedule and came out promptly to confer and measure what we needed. Initially we were on a quick schedule which Steve was willing and able to accommodate. As the project progressed, due to other folks doing tiling and other tasks, Steve adjusted his production schedule and always had pieces ready when we needed them. The vendor he arranged for the granite was a little inconvenient - we had to go to Hastings to pick out slabs - but it was worth it. They were very professional and the product and install was perfect. One of the linen faces didn't originally fit as we thought it should and Steve immediately agreed. He remade it and replaced it for no extra charge. We didn't have to pressure him, he readily offered and took care of it. His vendor he uses to finish the woodwork was excellent and the results were fabulous. We have since used them to paint other items such as stair balusters and they've suggested paint for other purposes. The experience with Steve at Imperial was in all respects very satisfying! We would highly recommend his company for any woodworking or related projects. We will be using him again in the near future for the next floor of our house remodel.

Although we were not able to work together on this project, Steve as extremely knowledgeable and helpful in a consultation role. We were stuck on pricing and other design elements and he helped walk us through some of the issues which made our lives much easier.

My husband and I had a great experience working with Steve. Our kitchen was remodeled as part of a TV show and we were working with a very strict timeline. I called Steve and even though he indicated he was extremely busy he made the time to work on our project. He was able to build a custom cabinet with a pull-out pantry feature to surround our fridge. We used many of our existing cabinets during the remodel and also bought a few stock cabinets for the new island area. Steve was able to make cabinet fronts that matched the existing one's to keep in character with our 1940s home. Even when we ran into a snag installing the cabinet fronts (no fault of Steve's) he took time out of his busy to day to make a few slight adjustments so they would work with the stock cabinets. He also created panels to match our cabinetry for the fridge and dishwasher. Everything turned out beautifully! Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely contact him for any future cabinet needs. I was able to visit the shop when he made the adjustment to the cabinet fronts and his colleagues were also very friendly. The shop was clean, organized and I could see the quality of his work when I had the opportunity to look at some of the other projects he was working on. I was very happy with the price and realized custom cabinetry isn't a complete fortune as I have always been told and thought. His prices seemed very fair.

We had a very positive experience working with Steve. He was prompt in visiting our house and answering questions that we had. He also posed important questions about the style and functionality of the shelves that we had not considered. HIs estimate was clear, straightforward and came with carefully rendered plans for the project. He made a followup visit to match the stain to the rest of our house's woodwork. He built and installed the shelves in a timely manner, and we could not be more pleased. They are well-constructed and look like they came with the house! We will use them for a long time. We can't believe we were even considering prefab shelves!

They gave us 4 different bid on all melamine, melamine+wood drawers, all wood, just closet structure. After comparing the price with 3 other companies and checking their reviews in Angies' list, we decided to go with them. They built espresso color maple closet with back. It is absoloutely beautiful. Steve was very easy to talk to and very punctual. He works hard and he will keep his promise. I won't change a thing from our closet. It's my dream closet.

Steve was very prompt and communication with him was quick and easy. Out of all the contractors that we worked with on the numerous aspects of our remodel, our experience with him was the best one. We will definitely call him for any future projects. Highly reccommended to anyone looking for custom wood work to be done.

Another great experience with Imperial. We were looking to remodel our master bathroom with a quick turn around time. As we looked at existing options, we were so disappointed in the quality (such as Home Depot). I called Steve and asked if he could make us quality cabinets and deliver them within two weeks. I thought for sure he would tell me it just wasn't possible. But he didn't. He met with us that day and was able to deliver the vanity and linen cabinet right on schedule. And the best part is the quality of the pieces are so much better! We got exactly what we wanted and in an unbelievable time frame.

If you are looking for a custom-designed piece, look no further. Steve is your guy!!! He came on time and spent a lot of time with us to come up with the perfect design. The piece took a little longer than estimated because the stain was very difficult to match. I was fine with this as I would rather it come out right. I appreciated his dilligence and perfectionism on every aspect of the project.

We received bids from 3 different local custom cabinet installers. During the home visit to compile the information for the estimate Imperial was able to take our hopes for the kitchen and mesh that with some recommendation from their experiance. Before the bids were submitted we had made our decision that we would use Imperail unless there was a large price difference. We were very pleased when Imperials estimate came in low. The only change to the price shown on the estimate were additions we made after the fact. Imperial was very accomodating and the changes had no affect on the project schedule. We did the demolition of the existing cabinet ourselves to save money and Imperial coordinated with us during the entire process. We managed to kept the time without an operational kitchen to a minimum which is important with a 1 year old. The actual installation time for the cabinets took about 2 days. It could probably have been done quicker but we had wanted white cabinets, probably a 1/3rd of the time was keeping all of the white surfaces clean. My wife and son were able to come and go from the house during the installation and we were comfortable with them there while we were out. Imperial did not act as the general contractor but we did use contractors they recommended for the countertop and tile backsplash. Overall the work was great and the price was more than fair. The communication made the project a breeze and being custom made the cabinets feel like they belong in our house.

We are very happy with the owner of the company. He's done a good job for us. He's done everything he's said he would.

From design to installation of my new cabinets Steve Draeger and his team provided exceptional service and delivered a functional and beautiful kitchen that I will enjoy for years to come. Maple cabinetry was part of a total house remodel of a townhome built in 1973. The existing kitchen was poorly designed with limited storage space. It's an understatement to say that the kitchen I now have exen vaguely resembles it's predecessor. Steve developed a design plan and then modified it based on my wishes and input. Only when I was satisfied with the plan and he was satisfied that it was workable did the project move to the building phase, which was accomplished in less than three weeks. Steve was on site on both days of installation and no oversight was required on my part. The finished product was exactly what I had envisioned. I consider this the trademark of a true craftsman. I recommend Imperial Custom Woodworking without reservation and would definitely use them again.

The whole process went very well. Steve came out to measure and then came back again on installation day. The new cabinet looks like it has been here forever--it is a perfect match for the other cabinets which were built in 1993. We were very happy with the results.

They were great, nice and timely. They showed up when they said they would show up. They are family owned and operated.

Our overall experience was excellent. Steve does an excellent job observing our existing kitchen layout and inquiring about specific needs in our desired kitchen and worked them all into his final design. He was prompt to deliver plans to us. Through the design, construction, finishing and installation no detail was missed. In fact Steve caught several design issues as the kitchen remodel was coming together and modified his work to compensate (for example a rafter was dead center above our kitchen sink preventing the placement of an electrical box so Steve fabricated a small drop down for the ceiling to conceal the box and match the cabinets) He answers phone calls and e-mails promptly. He was always on time. We love our new kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed working with Steve and his company.

This was the second time Steve worked on our kitchen cabinets. The first job was a larger one and the company did an excellent job, so we called on them again for this small project. Steve was punctual and professional. He clearly explained what was needed to accomplish the project; all work was completed on time and at a lower cost than I expected. I will call him again for any future woodworking projects and will gladly recommend him to others.

I was 100% satisfied. He completed everything ahead of schedule and knew what he was doing every step of the way. He came out to my house to meet with me and learn what I was looking for.
