Brian came out, seemed knowledgeable and a nice guy but never got back to us with an estimate. Guess he got too busy, but why not extend us the courtesy of letting us know rather than wasting both his time and our's. Don't know how some of these companies stay in business with that kind of customer service.

This contractor is very difficult to contact. Even when I got through to him, he always wanted to call me back later. He never did. We finally set up a meeting day and time. When he was an hour and a half late, I finally called him. He said he and quot;spacedand quot; out our meeting. He then said he could meet later on that day and asked if he could call me. I, of course, said yes and hung up. He didn't call or show up again. I feel that the most important item between a customer and a service provider is communication, even if it is to pick up a phone to say that you can't make a meeting. I didn't get that much. So much for customer service!

The landscape designer we went with had recommended this company to us to do our landscaping a few years ago. They provided quality products and guarantees the health of the product, or they'll replace it. They were very accommodating to my ideas and desires and were very professional. They also gave good advice when needed about certain plants and decisions. A few of our trees didn't make the hot, dry summer, so they came out to replace them. It took a little while to replace them and respond to us as they are very busy. And sometimes emails and phone calls weren't answered, but the quality of work and friendliness of their staff makes up for it.

Brian's ideas and the final product are excellent. Final price was as quoted. I would use Oak Meadows again - no question. Some slowness to respond, but better than other companies. Much more professional than other companies we had contacted. After the work on-site started, the crews worked every day practical until the job was done (there were rain days when they didn't work).

Brian came to our house for a consult. He had amazing suggestions as how to improve the appearance of our property. Once he mentioned them, he was right, they would dramatically improve the appearance of our house. He has the vision on how to help us and that is what we were looking for in a landscaper. He showed us many photos of his work on his ipad and asked us about a budget. My husband and I had not discussed a budget at this point, but we were looking at a significant amount of work. He spent about an hour with us. We talked about next steps. I mentioned that I had contacted 2 other landscape companies and would review their designs and budget to decide which one to go with. I have received other companies designs, but I have received no reponse from Brian. I e-mailed him to see if he was still interested and wanted to be considered for the job. No response. I realize that he is very busy (the good ones always are), but if he could give me an estimate of when he could get something to us, then we would wait for him. Perhaps he has enough business that he doesn't care that he is losing work.

We asked landscaper from Oak Meadows to come out to give us an estimate on a tree replacement, paver patio, and some backyard landscaping. He gave us a bid x3 more than other landscapers for the tree replacement. He declined to do any yard landscaping, and only gave us a verbal estimate on a patio. When we requested a written estimate, he said to e-mail him for it, which we did. He did not respond.

We love the landscaping and new patio (with multi-sized and multi-colored pavers and an attractive border), and how the new outside and inside living spaces are tied together. Kurt and the work crew were great. It was impressive to see the number of workers on any given day and how they worked as a team to accomplish the day’s tasks. The were very skilled at both hardscaping and softscaping. Kurt kept us informed of their progress, and Brian was available if needed to discuss any changes and answer questions. The completed project is much nicer than we imagined. Our only complaint is that the project took longer than anticipated, but the landscaping depended on the porch (which had its own issues), and the porch depended on Excel Energy burying the power line (once we were on their list it took at least 4 weeks to get the work done), and we could not be placed on Excel's waiting list until an electrician changed our service (which also took longer than planned)—so basically the delays were beyond Oak Meadows’ power to control. We will work with Oak Meadows again and have recommended them to neighbors.

I was having a hard time finding someone to do this job. Called places on Angies list and finally found a person who told me to call Oak Meadows. I talked to Brian and gave him an estimate of how large the area was. He gave me an estimate of how much it would cost and I said how soon can you do the job. They came out within 3 days - it was a little bit more expensive then the bid. Did a great job and I am very happy.

We are very happy with everything they've done. They have gone over and above in supporting us after install - ensuring that we are happy and replacing anything that has died.

The company failed to follow-up after they cancelled the appointment at the last minute.

The designer was gong to put a plan together for our yard. He gave us a date of when he would have the preliminary plan put together. We never heard from him and we had to call the company to find out where things were at. . It took a bit to hear back from him and we finally met up. He had a preliminary plan put together. We looked at it and had some changes that we wanted done and he was going to get pricing put together for the work to be done. We have yet to hear back from anyone at Oak Meadows. I would not recommend the company based on their lack of communication with the customer.

We haven't decided what we are going to do yet. We liked them and we are considering them. They were willing to talk about our ideas and they gave us ideas. They discussed how they operate and if we decide to go with them they will come and give us more precise details.

They designed and built a beautiful limestone retaining wall and planter beside our driveway. The work was done in a craftsman-like manner.

They did a wonderful job. They worked through most of the whole summer. They did a lot of things and it was really great. They made the driveway with pavers instead of just asphalt. They built a wall along the whole back of the house too. They took down some wood that we had in there and made it look very beautiful. They tore off the old material that we had on the deck that had been put by the original builder. They also installed new steps at the back and did a lot of landscaping. Their professionalism was wonderful. We were encouraged to ask any questions that we had. They had cleaned up after themselves too. There was absolutely nothing that I didn’t like about them. I would recommend them to everybody. They are doing some work now for our neighbors.

Our experience with Oak Meadows can be described as nothing short of perfection. Brian has a great crew and he himself is extremely skillful and personable. We had no idea our yard had such potential!! We moved into our home in the winter and were horrified when the snow melted at what we saw. Once Oak Meadows started our project, we watched the miracle transformation. A bulldozer came in and leveled the back yard pushing most of the dirt up into the corner of the yard to allow us more privacy from the road. My 2 boys were in heaven when the huge dump trucks started showing up. The earth literally shook when they dumped out the gigantic stones. It was like watching a puzzle be put together as they selected each rock and put it in place. We wanted an area to have a fire and they gave us an awesome fire pit with seats made from the same stone as the wall so that it blends into the landscape. All the trees and shrubs are arranged strategically so that there is always something blooming or colorful. They put in several new areas that just add so much interest to our yard. Oak Meadows is a group of dedicated, hard working guys who are very knowledgeable, professional, talented and friendly. The crew got along so well and helped each other out. They always made time to talk with us, tell us what was going to happen next and even let my boys "help" spread the mulch with their little wheelbarrow. They managed to create an outdoor space that reflects our personal taste and lifestyle. We are drawn outside and absolutely LOVE our landscaping!
