Freddie's Lawn Service & Snow Plowing

Very well with no problems.

Everything went fine. Prompt and efficient and very fast. Always closed the gate so the dog didn't get out. Yard looked neat and well groomed and in excellent condition. We've hired Freddie's for weekly lawn care for several years now. Plan to rehire for next year.

Once I purchased the deal, Freddie's contacted me via email saying I should contact them directly. By phone, Freddie told me that he could not honor the deal thru Angie's because Angie's would take too much of the payment and he wouldn't be making any $. If I wanted the service, I was told by Freddie to contact Angie's and request a refund. I could then arrange to have Freddie come out and perform the service and pay them directly. I contacted Angie's and Angie's was to refund. I must have missed a form to fill out, so I called today and received this form via email today, July 14,from Angie's. Freddie's came out about June 1 but worked for only one hour and 15 min, 2 people and did not come to the door, were gone before I could speak to them, then billed me $99 for the time, which was to be 4 hours of work. Thank you in advance for refunding this big deal.

When it came down to schedule they gave us a large window of time. When it was time for them to come, they told us to cancel the big deal with Angie's List and pay him directly before it was done. He was willing to take a credit card over the phone. We felt that it was shady and unprofessional. We declined and got it refunded. We will never use them. I have never been asked to pay up front before they have ever seen our lawn or rendered a service from a lawn service company before.

Once I was able to get the job scheduled, it went well.

I found him truthful, honest and very prompt in calling me back.

It was fantastic! I will continue to use them. They were really prompt, responsive and did everything they said they were going to! They were spectacular.

I did not think that the work done was worth the money.

The service provider was polite, but we agreed he could not perform the work this spring.

I think some of the recent F reviews of this service were unfair because they blame them for not being able to proceed with the coupon special that had once been posted. In this case, while I would be normally upset myself in that kind of situation, I can see the point of Freddie's. They had apparently not known or been informed that Angie's captures the first 40% of the value of the Big Deal. This company is very small and I can understand that they would not be able to afford that. I received the equivalent value directly and paid extra for an additional service (lawn seeding). Freddie came out personally to do the estimate. Later his two employees arrived punctually and spent the full two hours each (actually a bit extra) to do the entire job and did an excellent job. The main employee "A. J." clearly cares about his work, is very courteous, and is well organized. He checked with me, as I asked, to make sure that everything was done properly (and took time on arrival to be sure exactly what I was looking to have done). Could not ask for better service.

The provider called and sakes me to pay directly rather than they Angie's list. I didn't care for the way it was handled and will be looking for someone else.

Per Angie's list message on April 10,2014, I contacted Freddie's Lawn Service and he informed me that he cannot honor this big deal because of some misundertsanding between Angie's List and his business regarding how much he would receive from the deal. He stated he could not do the work for the quoted price because Angie's List would receive half of the deal price, not leaving him enough to do the work without losing money. He offered to do the work for $125. Since Feddie's Lawn Service cannot perform his services per the big deal, I will need you to cancel my big deal order and refund my purchase amount of $99. I do not plan to use his services in the future.

My disabled mother contracted with Freddie for the first time this year, after the service she had been using moved out of town. Prior to signing up for the service, I asked Freddie if the driver could shovel a 10 foot path to her front door after plowing, and he stated they would. This was the worst plowing service we have had in years. Commonly we had to shovel the driveway (2 days after a snowfall) just to gain access to her house. Additionally, a 10 foot section of the lawn was ripped up when the plow veered a little off course a number of times (even though the edges were marked). The plow driver left so much snow in front of the garage, the garage door eventually froze shut. To top it off, they did not shovel the small path to her door once during the winter. I'm not sure how there lawn service is, but if it is anything like their plowing...be careful.

Company did not contact me. Called to inform the company that I purchased a big deal. They informed me that their payment arrangement with Angie's List was misunderstood. They informed me they could not afford to honor my deal.

I called them to set up appointment. Said the job was too big for the price I paid.

Freddie came out and gave me a great estimate and was very friendly. My lawn was over a month due for a mowing so I was in dire need of a quality lawn care service company and Freddie's company was the right way to go. He or his employees have come out twice so far and the lawn looks amazing! I'm very happy with the quality of care and the value of service they provide. Thank you!

Even his employees stated that Freddy isn't the most organized person! They were to call before they came out, which they did not. Then the 3 man team didn't know what they were to do when they arrived at our home... Shame on you Freddy!

Freddies completed all work on time and billed for the estimated cost. Property looked good and would use him again.

Work is very satisfactory. Lawn looks very good....very neat and we have a yard with lots of plants and stuff to mow around which makes it more challenging. I don't have an address for this provider---I got his name from an ad in the local paper.
