JC's Remodeling Co

Started off very good - Jerry is a very friendly guy and offered several good ideas for our project. He showed up in a beat up old truck which gave us pause, but we liked him and wanted to give him our business. Jerry had given us a good price, but we did have 2 lower bids. We just seemed to think Jerry would be the best fit given his friendliness and responsiveness in the quoting process. As he started on the project, he generally only worked 8-1, and we had several miscommunciation issues with him (he could probably attribute some of them to us, but most were with him). Several times in the project Jerry came back to us asking for more money as there were things he did not anticiapate. To be fair, sometimes they were changes in what we were asking for, but they were also sometimes no changes and were due to his misunderstanding/misreading of our drawings. In the end, we had to end our relationship with Jerry and find another contractor to finish the work. Cost us quite of bit of extra money as some of Jerry's workmanship was substandard, and we had to have it redone, including re-doing the entire bathroom, and reframing/seating exterior windows and doors. If you are going to consider Jerry, I'd consider him for framing, but not for tiling, siding, or exterior work. We feel Jerry probably owes us money at this point, but he disagrees.

Jerry, was very nice, polite, very knowledgeable, and respectable. Went above and beyond the scope of work. He repaired things in my home that he saw was not correct. Such as plaster cracks, sticking doors, etc.

But now JC’s Remodeling offered to help me and donated his services to me and he’s getting other people to do the same thing. He’s been here since January. He’s almost done, probably about another 2-3 weeks. He got another company to donate cabinets, which was $8,000. He’s just got everybody lined up to help out. I was only going to have the kitchen and bathroom remodeled, but he ended up remodeling everything else even into the dining room and hall. Way beyond what I asked for. Everything is top of the line material and he is a very good worker.
