Scherer Brothers Lumber

Miss quoted project. Cost were 75% higher than quoted due mostly to errors by person quoted the job. Also, working with Scherer Brothers was difficult. They do not stain wood so customer has to contract staining separately. So I was overcharged on staining due to Scherer Brothers error

Before you buy anything from this company, make sure that you compare the quality and the price of what they sell, to what is available at the big box stores. I made the mistake of taking the salesman's word for the quality of lumber that I was getting. That was a mistake, since what I got, was very different than what I was promised. Basically, I got the same quality of lumber that is sold at big box stores for 130% of the big box price. What is worse, is that the salesman made no attempt to make the situation right. Instead, he avoided me for 5 days, and when he finally responded to me, he said "I am sorry that you did not like the lumber"...that was it...that is the extent of their quality and customer satisfaction guarantee....just few words of sympathy. Save yourself allot of money by going elsewhere.
