They called me a month later to say the work was completed and that everything was fixed. I rented a trailer to pick-up the snowblower. When I checked out the unit, it was obvious it was NOT repaired AT ALL. The unit still had the same mechanical issues. One of their senior mechanics insisted that it was working per specification and that I really didn't understand how it was really supposed to operate. I insisted on talking to the service manager, and he was even worse. He blamed me for not explaining the mechanical problem to the service writer properly. The argument got very contentious and they finally agreed to go back and re-visit the problem if I left the unit with them. In the meantime, I visited the TORO factory in Bloomington and their engineers confirmed that I had described the problem properly and that Weekend Freedom really did not understand how this model of snowblower was supposed to operate or how to fix it. TORO apparently advised Weekend Freedom on how to repair the unit, which they finally did........somewhat. Weekend Freedom was very unfriendly when I went to pick up the unit. They only fixed part of the problem. The transmission still slips and only provides 2 speeds forward, instead of 4 as designed. I will take the unit to another dealer and have the job done correctly. I will never deal with Weekend Freedom again, and will not recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They were supposed to adjust the transmission on our TORO snowblower. The unit was in overall good shape with low hours on it, however it would not engage the drive mechanism properly, preventing the snowblower from pushing through any heavy snow. I demonstrated the problem to their service writer, who in turn recorded most of what I told him on their computer terminal.

Weekend freedom is a really poor communicator. Even though I sent my lawnmower there for basic services (blade sharpening and deck leveling), they ordered 3 new parts and took twice as long as they said they would without consulting me at any point. I had to call them to see what the status was, to find out new parts were ordered and to schedule the return of the lawnmower. I was very unhappy.
Description of Work: I had my riding lawnmower sent there to: Have the Deck Leveled and sharpen the blades in 4 to 5 business days.

The experience was very good. I was very happy with them. They were very prompt. I called them and they said they could get it in right away. They had it done when they said they would and it ran well when they were done.
Description of Work: They did a complete tune up on my lawn mower, sharpened the blade and repaired a broken handle.

I bought an MTD riding mower less than a year ago (btw do not buy an MTD riding mower as they are not well built at all). Last month the drive belt for the cutting deck broke. I followed the instructions in the owner's manual to replace it, but never could get the deck to stay attached. I brought the mower to Weekend Freedom three weeks ago and although they did say they were very backlogged I thought it would not take three weeks to get this small job done. I picked it up today after having "coaxed" them with three calls over the last few weeks and when I picked the mower up they had done a very good job. I would also like to say that I was very comfortable with the recommendations of other yard tools I got from the staff and although it was frustrating to wait so long for my mower - I really feel they know their stuff and chances are I will purchase other items from them.
