I am very happy with them. They were really nice and accommodating. We were on their schedule but when we needed it done earlier, they put a rush on it for us. After it was installed, our grandson leaned his bike against the railing and chipped the paint. Jim Roberts came out and touched up the paint with no extra charge. That was more than I would have expected. I'd give them A's all the way around. We had had another quote for twice the cost.

They installed a railing and ended up coming back after to make repairs when a teen caused some damage without any problems.

It was good. I would give A's for everything.

I was pleasantly surprised as to the amount of choices available, plus choice of colors. The estimator provided a book of design pictures for ideas as to what they could manufacture. Once I chose the design, then he helped me with a color choice to go with my house colors. The estimator was on time for the appointment. Once he wrote up the order, he gave me an estimated time that it would take to make the railings which was about 5-6 weeks. When the came to install, he was on time for the appointment. He carefully leveled the railings and set the front and back poles in a concrete mix, and put up a sign so that no one would touch it for 24 hours so that the cement could set up properly. I absolutely love the front step railings! The color is perfect (called terratone - kind of a taupy beige) and the design really sets off the railing and adds so much to the look of the front door. The railings are a great addition to the front of our house.

Excellent! Anchor Iron representative was helpful and courteous on the phone when scheduling time for an estimate. They were out within the week to measure and give us a bid. I drove out to the showroom (not necessary but allowed me to look at actual product) to look at sample railings. Adam answered all my questions and was very pleasant to work with. I asked if they could make the design within the railing taller. Adam said he thought they could, and made a couple of CAD drawings which he emailed to me that day. The changes were made without any additional charge. Anchor Iron was able to install the railings sooner than originally planned. They look great! Pleasant, knowledgeable, fairly priced, high quality work, prompt, quick to return calls/emails. In my experience, Anchor Iron stands out as a company with a great product and great customer service.

After an exchange of phone calls, we agreed that someone would come to the house at 9am on September 22nd to give me an estimate for the work needed (build and install some custom iron railings for our back step). First, the guy showed up 40 minutes late (after calling at 9:20 to tell me he was going to be late). He then didn't even have the courtesy to knock on the front door, instead electing to head to the side gate. After opening the gate for him (we keep it locked) he didn't introduce himself and just said Hello and apologized for being late. He took a few minutes taking measurements and then wrote up the quote and said if we wanted to go ahead we just needed to sign it and then return it. The quote was a little higher than the company we ended up using (O'Brien Ornamental Iron), but it was mostly the way this guy acted that put me off. He had no customer skills whatsoever - maybe he isn't normally in the field dealing with customers?

They did an excellent job. They did it in a reasonable amount of time. They came when they said they were going to come to pick it up.

We had a great experience working with Anchor Iron Co. They are a family company and it showed in every aspect of their work. Not only did the one of the owners come to assess the project, but also the son made contact with us to schedule the installation once the railing was ready and oversaw the entire installation process. They were courteous and effective. We were impressed with how quickly they were able to install the railing. There was no evidence that they had been there, other than a sign not to lean on the railing for one day while the cement continued to dry. Staff took care to ensure the flowers in the flower boxes along the stairs survived the installation and they continue to be a beautiful compliment to our new railing. The bid was slightly above the other three bids that we obtained by a couple of hundred dollars, but the impression we had of Anchor Iron Co. was much more professional than the others. They didn't try to insert any hidden costs and offered to remove the old railing for free. Their competition wanted an additional $200-300 to remove it. We were so satisfied, we are considering asking them back to design an iron gate for us. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

We needed a handrail for our front steps to satisfy our home insurance company. We needed the project complete within a few weeks in order to have no lapse in insurance coverage. I completed the order all over phone and email with Adam and never met him in person. He completed the project ahead of the time he promised and our hand rail looks great. Thank you!

I had used the email address provided on the website, and sent some pictures, dimensions, and an explanation of what I wanted done. I received a general quote back via email. I then went ahead and requested a formal quote. Jim came to the house, measured, discussed my options with me, then provided a quote (which was a bit less than the email quote I had received). I went ahead with the work. Jim came out and removed the railings on a Monday, and by that Friday, they were reinstalled. They look absolutely amazing! I am trying to get my house ready for sale, and the railings are the first thing you see when you come inside. The refinishing was the best investment I ever could have made. And there was no way I was going to tackle this project myself. Anchor is a family owned business, and they truly embody the spirit of customer service. If I need any railing work done in the future, I will look no further than Anchor Iron!

My security door was installed 8-10 years ago, and I have been extremely pleased with it. It has a superior finish, compared to a new door I purchased from another company. I couldn't be happier with the door, as well as the nice way I was treated for just a minor issue. I couldn't be happier.

It went very well, from the initial evaluation and measurement to the final installation. Plus they scheduled it so that it was completed before my book club visited about 10 days after the order!

They did an elegant, lovely, clean, and neat job. Also added a wrought iron railing to prevent me from falling into my living room in my wheelchair. I will hire them again. They are not the fastest to come out but they do top level work. I had to place the order, they fabricated it and it all took about 6 to 8 weeks. They lived up to my expectation and exceeded them. The product was worth the price. They were in and out swiftly. They finished the installation job with in an hour. I was very impressed with them.

They came out measured and quoted price. Said would take 5 to 6 weeks to fabicate. Called within that time to schedule installation. Excellent job.

Anchor Iron meet the esimates they provided us. They showed up on time and prformed quality work. It took maybe 4 hours. I would use them again. THe seal on the security doors weren't as air-tight as desired form MN, but our emphasis was on the security nature. Small amounts of shavings, from the drill holes were let for use to clean up. Overall they met our expecation and we would use them again.

Jim Roberts came in April to estimate a railing for my front steps. In July, I went to their showroom in Savage to see samples of their work. Jim came to my home again to measure for the exact specifications. In September, the railing was ready and was installed withing a few days. Railing wa ready for use the following day (see photo). I suggest Roberts carry samples of their work, to save customer the trouble of visiting their showroom. I got lost both going and returning from Savage.

Super job! Very professional from initial phone call right through installation. They do beautiful work for what I found to be a very reasonable cost. They did a great job helping me think about all sorts of stuff like exact railing placement, code requirements and most importantly design options that fit in with the style of my house. The final product was installed perfectly and looks like it was designed specifically for my house (which of course it was!!). Highly recommended!! I had some iron fabrication done several years ago by another twin cities based company that was hard to get in touch with, not overly responsive, significantly delayed in their delivery, etc. Anchor Iron is the opposite of that!!

They set a time to come measure and give us an estimate. They were right on time. Price was great and they gave us a drawing of approx what the rails would look like. They were also helpful with suggestions of placement and design. We were told the product would be ready in 4 to 6 weeks. In 4 weeks we got a call to set a time for installation. Installer was on time, dressed in a uniform, very polite and cleaned up everything around where he worked. We liked that the rails were cemented in place. He told me not to put to much pressure on for 24 hrs. We got exactly what we wanted, what we were told, and all done on time and very professionally. Very pleased with this company and all the workers we encountered. Would definitely call them again with any wrought iron needs. Have already recommended them to neighbors.

One problem, the spiral stair treads were not cut with the nose along the grain and on many of the treads the nose on the outside of the spiral broke off. They did knock off $400 for me to replace them.
