+ -1 moreI have a retaining wall that I want change it with a new one. It took them one an half month and they never finish. After many fake promises I decide to finish job by myself. at this point Jeff send me his friend Tomy to harasseme in my house, so I had to call the Police and Jeff keep calling me all time warning me that he's going to come in my propriety and damage it. Please pay attention who you hiring and get reference before taking decision. Now I can't trust stranger to come in my home. This guys I had to finish with them story in the court.

+ -1 moreI liked that they were willing to do a small job. They came out and took a look at I wanted. They were able to give me an estimate right there. They gave me a window of time when they could get to the job. I was glad that I didn't need to supervise their work. I came home and the job was done. It looked great!
Description of Work: I had them re-edge a rock border and lay some sod.

+ -1 moreOverall, it was not good. Twice they had an appointment with us and twice they did not show us, nor did they call.
Description of Work: We first called The Yard Guys explaining we had a sink hole in our backyard that needed repair. They said they would be out Friday to take a look at it (we spoke with them on a Tuesday). They did not show up nor did they call. We called them back on the following Wednesday morning. He offered no apology nor any reason why the previous Friday didn't happen, even after we asked him twice what happened Friday. His answer was "I couldn't make it." No reason, no explanation, no apology. But on Wednesday he DID say he would be out that day to take a look at it. He never showed up or called.

+ -1 moreI was looking for more of a full service landscaping project. I would chosen Jeff if I had known exactly what I wanted ahead of time and it was a smaller job. His bid would have solved our problem with water in the basement for a few years, but it wasn't a complete fix.
Description of Work: Jeff bid on regrading the side of our house and cleaning up and area in the alley and laying mulch down. I wanted him to give us some advice about how to proceed with landscaping and planting. He drew up a bid and mailed it to us.

+ -1 morePoorly. The work was never performed after two dates came and went. I must also make it clear that I called to ask for an update. Yard Guys never informed me of a delay.
Description of Work: No work performed. I called to get an estimate for some hedge-cutting. They promptly replied with an estimate and gave me an estimated date to perform the work. The date came and went without any calls. I called for an update and was told they would be out "either over the weekend or on Monday". Monday came and went without work performed or a phone call. I called and asked them to take me off the "schedule".

+ 1 moreIt went well. It took several day as expected because we have a large yard. Jeff was very nice and so was his crew. They cleaned up everything afterward and the foundation around the house looks 1,000 times better now. It was a lot of work. Jeff had his crew working the day after I emailed him it was OK to start. We will probably hire them for the back yard next spring.
Description of Work: Removed all the rock and weeds around the house front and sides (320 feet). Put down new landscape weed fabric and lots of new rock and all new black edging. Dug out three old bushes and planted new ones.

Description of Work: They planted 9 trees, and I picked them up from the store.

+ -1 moreJeff was prompt in setting up an appointment for an estimate, showing up for an estimate and completing the work on time. He scheduled the work at my convenience. He did the work very well. He was obviously knowledgeable and proud of his work. His bid was very competitive. I actually had one bid almost 3 times greater. I had to leave before he was finished. He returned the next day for payment, a nice service. I will use him again.
Description of Work: Trimmed/pruned 14 shrubs and bushes around the house. Removed a 7' pine tree. Transplanted two 2' pines. Cleaned up and hauled away all debris.
