It took them about a week to do the job. Greg was not only very knowledgable, but the crew was very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. I feel like I got a pretty good deal for the work they did. The reason why I picked them was that my mother had work done on her mobile home in 1997 and they did a phenomenal job for her then. When I called another contractor to inquire about my project, they told me that they would only repair half of the wall that needed replaced due to mold damage (for $1000, including minor plumbing) and if I wanted the entire wall done, the cost would be double that. The other contractors didn't even do a full inspection before giving me an estimate. I asked the other contractor when he could have the work done, he said it would be done in a day. Greg mentioned he would have to put fans under to dry for a day or two at least before going in to replace the damaged parts, which makes a lot more sense. Greg was the first to point out that the entire wall needed replaced due to the mold; other contractors I'd spoken with never mentioned this. He was good about getting down into the flooring and showing me the extent of the damage. He also repaired the belly in the kitchen and my daughter's bedroom. The wall was in my daughter's bedroom and Greg seemed really concerned about her well-being and he just wanted to be sure to get the job done quickly and at a good price for me. They had to do pretty extensive plumbing repairs, too. He had also noticed that there was a soft spot in the bedroom floor where they were working, but found it was something his workers had missed. Greg offered for me to withhold payment until that portion of the job was completed. If I ever have to use this company again in the future, I will definitely do so!

Some time has passed since this company insulated my attic, therefore I can only talk about my current situation. I had my roof replaced in September of 2010 and that is when the problems with my attic were detected and identified. The insulation material that had been blown into the attic in 2000 was all over the place, even in the roof overhangs, where it absolutely should not have been. There was no room for any air flow and NO air chutes had been installed at all. According to my roofing company this created moisture and consequently made the wooden sheathing come apart (I have pictures to proof it). Therefore I had to replace a big portion of my roof with new wooden boards, adding over $2000.00 to my overall roof expense. I have no choice than give an F for overall experience, because a company should not mislead a home owner in such an extreme way.
Description of Work: company was suppose to install 30 air chutes for proper air flow, sealing attic bypasses, covering recessed lights with gypsum or rigid board insulation boxes, blowing cellulose insulation into attic space, as well as adding fiberglass batt insulation.

I got the referral from my neighbor and I called and made an appt. with a company rep. to get an estimate. He came out, did measurements, and told me he would send an est. After repeated phone calls (they only have a cell phone which is most often busy) he finally sent the est. It then took repeated calls to schedule a work time. I should have found someone else, but I had quite a lot of time invested by then so I decided to stick it out. His crew of two came, dirtied up the walls, cut out the vapor barrier, and said they needed to come back after they got more material, equipment, etc. By then, I decided this company was more trouble than what I was willing to deal with and did not pursue them.
Description of Work: I don't think they did anything as they said they had to come back because they did not have the right material.

The man we were to meet with seemed very experienced in the insulation of older houses and attic space. We set up an appointment with him to bid on a small attic hallway job at 5:30pm and he never showed up. We called and left him a message to ask him if he was still coming (30 minutes later) or if we should reschedule. He called back within 10 minutes and told us that he was sick and had left my roommate a message at her work, but when she checked her messages there were none. We rescheduled with him thinking that her voice mail wasn't working properly. We both left early from work this week to meet with him again. After waiting 25 minutes, we called and left him another message. He did not return the phone call and we left because of dinner plans. When we returned home, he had left his card in our front door and on the back door. No phone call from him since.
Description of Work: None.

I JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE THE MOST PROFESSIONAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I GOT SEVERAL ESTIMATES INCLUDING FROM THEM. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS ACTUALLY A TWO PAGE REPORT ON MY ATTIC RATHER THAN JUST A PURCHASE ORDER WITH A DOLLAR FIGURE ON IT. THEY CAME ON TIME. THEY SPENT THREE HOURS IN MY ATTIC BEFORE INSULATING PLUGGING UP HOLES, BUILDING DAMS AROUND HEAT SOURCES, ETC. I'M EXTREMELY CONFIDENT THAT I GOT THE BEST POSSIBLE JOB YOU EVER COULD. THEY ARE ACTUALLY LICENSED, INSURED AND INSURED IN INSULATION. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE LICENSED, BUT THEY ACTUALLY ARE. THE BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A WORKMAN OR COMPANY.
