i had new windows installed into my home by window concepts. said they would be custom ordered to the exact size and they would call to schedule install when they were done being builtl. it took one day to install them! im am pleased with the service and product as well as the price. i got 3 bids and they were the middle one but the product was best of the 3.

They were totally incompetent. Drew, the sales person they sent, couldn't answer any of my questions, kept phoning his office during the consultation to get answers, and didn't even have a business card. He then gave me an estimate that was much higher than any of the others that I had received. Their ad offered a 30% discount, and I feel that they raised the price of the doors to compensate for this.

As part of what Window Concepts agreed to do, they were supposed to get a replacement window sash for a broken one that was supplied by another company. Though we could have contacted the manufacturer ourselves to get the sash, Window Concepts insisted that they get the sash. The work was delayed to the end of the summer, since Window Concept's distributor for this manufacturer was different from the distributor that supplied the windows. They failed to keep us informed of the reason for the delays. I have to give them credit in that they fulfilled their agreement to secure the sash, and that they completed the work requested. The workmanship was very good. I was disappointed in that our own scheduling conflicts required them to install the broken window prior to their receipt of the replacement sash. I would use Window Concepts again, but would take a better look at the quality of the products they have to offer, since most of the windows they installed were our own. The reason we went to Window Concepts for this installation, though they didn't supply five of the six windows, is that Simonton listed them as a distributing company.

We called them for an estimate. They came out in an hour and gave us a quote. The price that they quoted was very good. They did a good job. They were very professional and the quality of work was very good.

I had 12 vinyl replacement windows replaced by Window Concepts of MN. The job from start to finish was superb! I am definitley one of those consumers that does their homework. I had been thinking of doing this job for almost a year. I spoke with several different window companies over that time. I certainly felt the most comfortable with their perticular salesman. Of all the companies he had the most knowledge, not only on the product, the installation process, but even the city codes. The installers had a great system to work the most efficient, but also very clean and payed much attention to detail. I felt very comfortable with the entire process and would personally recomend Window Concepts of MN to a friend!

We had been discussing doing something for the bathroom for some time and I had a few windows I wanted looked at. Luckily, a friendly door to door canvasser stopped by and inquired about an estimate. My fiancee with no prodding needed promptly set up an estimate for the following night. The next night a gentle man by the name of greg osland stopped by and looked over the windows we were concerned with and reviewed the needs of a new bath tub. Greg was very helpful, going over all the options and accessories that we could do in the bathroom. This was especially helpful, since our bathroom was the original 1922 clawfoot bath tub, beautiful to look at but a pain to actually use. We decided on a design and look for the bathtub. We were so happy with Greg's knowledge and expertise on the work that it was a no brainer on deciding on him to do the work. About a week later, we received a call from a sectary inquiring to do a second measure to insure accurancy when they were going to order. A fellow by the name of dean, thats what my fiancee had said, stopped in and remeasured a few things. Dean was very nice and insightful, he even showed my fiancee a few pictures of some the work he just got done putting in. Last but no least 3 weeks later we received a call to set up the install time. We were so eager to get the new bathroom and windows we set it up for the first availabe day, which was 2 days away on saturday. The workers that came by were so nice and courtesy. They took off their shoes when entering the house and cleaned up after themselves. My fiancee and I joked they were actually cleaning our house. They ended up finishing all the work on monday. It was only a total of 2 days to do the work. We were extremely happy with the professionalism and quickness of the company. I have already recommended the company to all my friends. Truthfully, I wish they offered more services because I wish I could use them more.

The sales pitch was compelling; at times a bit over the top in terms of making promises that weren't needed. That was the weakest part of the entire experience. Communication with the office during the process was excellent. I felt I knew what to expect all along the way. At one point I was promised by the sales person that he would find an answer to a question but never followed up. When I asked it of the person who measured the window, he provided a clear answer. The installers were excellent, did a couple of things they wouldn't have had to in order to keep the window treatment clean. They were fast, efficient, and truly worked as a team.

The company's sales rep, Hassan Salem, was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and very patient with our order changes. He was able to explain and demonstrate different features and properties of the windows, which was helpful, and had samples of everything. The crew finished the job quickly, and completely cleaned up the mess. We love our new windows.

Ordering and installation process were fairly painless. I did have one problem with installation, but the installer came right back out and did a great job of working to rectify the problem. When I was asking for help in learning how to tilt in and clean the windows (west-facing in August), I was amazed at the difference in the visible brightness/glare from the afternoon sun when the window pane was opened.

The salesperson was here on time, but did not respect that we had a time limit since we were meeting at lunch time. The price was too high and the sales rep was so pushy that we didn't want to have to deal with the company again.

Brett very good to work with. They are professional, and they give you a call before they come and give a window on how much time it will be to install it.

Hard sale from the salesperson, the more you hesitate the lower the price goes. The company subcontracts to contractors who bring in sub-contractors. I never knew who was working on my house. The first day two men showed up, and began work. One of the men had to leave, the other guy wasn't experienced. He left at the end of the day without covering a sliding glass door, and window that had been taken out, leaving my house open to the elements. When I complained, the contractor came over, and covered the openings. The contractor responded quickly, though it doesn't make up for the bad experience. The company ordered six of the wrong sized screens. They have been "on order" for 4 months now. Did they just forget or are they avoiding me? I have to call 3 to 4 times to speak to the right person, and she doesn't return my calls. I haven't heard other complaints, but I wouldn't use them again.

CHRIS CAME OUT TO PROVIDE BID. HE HAD TO REPEATEDLY CALL HIS SUPERVISOR WITH QUESTIONS AND I BEGAN TO QUESTION HIS CONFIDENCE IN BIDDING OUT THE JOB. THE BID WAS PROVIDED ON A PIECE OF YELLOW LEGAL PAD WITH NO COMPANY LOGO. HE SAID THERE WAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE JOB THAT WAS TRANSFERABLE TO 1 BUYER. WE WOULD GET A 5% DISCOUNT IF WE MADE A DECISION ON THE SPOT. I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE ABOUT MAKING A $4000 DECISION IMMEDIATELY. SOMETHING DID NOT FEEL RIGHT AND SO I BEGAN CHECKING ON THE INTERNET. THE COMPANY THAT MANUFACTURES THE SURROUND OFFERS A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE PRODUCT TO A DISTRIBUTOR, SO I SENT AN E-MAIL TO THE COMPANY REQUESTING A COPY OF THE WARRANTY, A BID ON COMPANY LETTERHEAD AND REFERENCES. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK IN THE PAST WEEK FROM THE COMPANY, OR CHRIS, SO I ASSUME THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN FOLLOWING UP.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. VERY INFORMATIVE, PRICED REASONABLY AND DID NOT PLAY THE SHELL GAME WHEN NEGOTIATING THE PRICE. EXPLAINED ALL THE DIFFERENT FEATURES, DID NOT UPCHARGE FOR ROTTED WOOD. SIGNED A DEAL AND KEPT THEIR WORD.

WHEN THE WORKERS ARRIVED, THEY BACKED OVER OUR BASKETBALL HOOP and NEGLECTED TO MENTION IT UNTIL WE BROUGHT IT UP. INSTALLED WINDOWS UPSIDE DOWN. DAMAGED BUSHES. CEMENT WAS OVER WALLS, FLOOR AND TILE. LEFT TRIM DAMAGED.

THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE WAS LATE. THERE HAD BEEN AN AD IN THE NEWSPAPER FOR A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THE OLIVE GARDEN IF YOU HAD AN ESTIMATE DONE. HE MADE LIGHT OF THIS WHEN I PRESENTED IT TO HIM AND AFTER A MONTH I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS. HE SEEMED UNSURE ON THE ESTIMATE AND WROTE IT UP ON NOTE PAPER-NOT AN ACTUAL SHEET WITH THE COMPANY NAME. I REALLY DID NOT TAKE THIS BID SERIOUSLY AFTER THAT. HE KNEW THE PRODUCT VERY WELL. AFTER A FEW WEEKS HE DID CALL TO LET ME KNOW THAT HIS SUPERVISOR APPROVED THE BID. I DID GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.

DAVE SEEMED SOMEWHAT ''PUSHY'' WHEN AT THE HOUSE. WHEN I INDICATED I WASN'T INTERESTED, HE ''CALLED HIS SUPERVISOR'' AND THE SUPERVISOR AGREED TO LOWER THE PRICE--I'M NOT SURE HE ACTUALLY TALKED TO ANYONE. I GAVE HIM A DEPOSIT BUT HAD SECOND THOUGHTS. I SENT MY CONTRACT CANCELLATION UPS BEFORE DEADLINE DATE and HAVE PROOF OF RECEIPT. EIGHT DAYS AFTER THEY SIGNED FOR LETTER, THEY CALLED TO ASK IF THEY COULD COME OUT TO MEASURE FOR THE WINDOWS. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I HAD PROOF THEY RECEIVED MY CONTRACT CANCELLATION. IT TOOK 29 DAYS (AND 3 CALLS TO THEIR OFFICE AFTER THAT)TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. I WAS LEFT ON HOLD ON THE PHONE WHILE SOMEONE CHECKED ON MY DEPOSIT REFUND--AND NO ONE CAME BACK. AFTER 5 MINUTES I CALLED THEM BACK.

IN DISCUSSING ALL THE PROJECTS I HAVE COMING ON BOARD, DREW SAID ''YOU KNOW... YOU SHOULD PROBABLY WAIT ON GETTING A QUOTE UNTIL YOU'RE READY''. HE DIDN'T TRY TO HIGH-PRESSURE ME, HE DIDN'T DO A ''YOU HAVE TO BUY NOW'' THING. HIS CONVERSATION WITH ME WAS ABOUT AS HONEST AND PROFESSIONAL AS I'VE RUN INTO... AND I'VE BEEN GOING OUT FOR A LOT OF QUOTES LATELY. WHEN I AM READY TO DO SOME EXTERIOR WORK, YOU CAN BET THAT I'LL BE CALLING UP DREW. IT'S RARE TO FIND A BUSINESS THAT IS MORE CONCERNED WITH HELPING YOU FIND OUT WHAT YOU REALLY NEED INSTEAD OF JUST SAYING BUY, BUY, BUY! GOOD GUYS!
