They were out on Feb 17th and I signed a contract with them. They said they would come down on their estimate to match a lower bid. However, I called them on the third day to tell them there was a problem with the price. I did eventually mail a letter of rescission on Feb 23rd.

Their people were on time and cleaned up any mess. When there was a problem closing the patio door, the sent the guy back out and he adjusted it, and it has worked fine since then. I have to give them I failing graded because this fall I became aware that there is a problem with the installation of the siding on one side of the house. I have called them a number of times, and each time the receptionist directs my call to the voicemail of the person who is supposed to work with customers. I've left a message each time with my contact information, and they have never contacted me. Given this, I must say that their customer service rates an F.

We kind of fell for a hard sell. My experience with them has been horrible. We ordered the windows in March and didn't get them until November.

We needed to replace the shower in the master bathroom. The original 14 years old was showing signs of wear and the fiberglass had cracked on one wall. They came out and quoted us a frameless style with clear glass. They explained that to get the look we wanted they would have to tear out the existing shower down to the studs to ensure there had not been any leakage and replace the floor pan. The plan was to come out and tear out the existing shower replace the backboard, measure and come back a week later to install. All of this was done in timelines quoted, however a couple of weeks after the installation we noticed some water leaking on the floor. The distance between the door and the wall was out by about 3/4 of an inch at the top and flush at the bottom. We called to have this repaired and they sent someone out to repair it. The repair did not work and we called them back in, Scott the guy they send when they have problems above the norm came out and indicated that the back wall was not straight thus the reason for the gap at the top of the door. I expected that they would claim its not their problem however Scott indicated he would need to order a new back panel to fix the issue and would get back to us when they had the part. two weeks later we received a call to book the day for him to come out and replace it. and they would need a full day to get it done. Scott arrived as scheduled and to my surprise he removed the panel and tore out the back board back to the studs, he indicated the only way to make the back wall straight was to replace everything. He completed the job in the time allotted and put it all back together now with a straight back wall. I did expect that they would have to do this much for a 3/4 of and inch adjustment and I imagine that any profit they would make was gone and it probably cost them. High marks for doing what ever was necessary to complete the job to their and my satisfaction. At no time did I feel they were trying to back out, all my contracts with service and the installers were pleasant.

I am glad that i was home because the job that was being done was not what i was told . .I called the city when i saw the job and they did not pull a permit as required . They used the wrong supplies and left wet insulation hanging inside the doors. They did come back with the boss and supervisors along with the city inspector when they received my photos and fixed it the way it should have been with the right size supplies that should have been used in the first place. We did get $400 off per my bargaining but i was shocked by the service provided from this company .If this company is used make sure they pull a permit and get it inspected by the city . Do not take the workers word for it that it is completed correctly or that a permit was not needed. In the end i got the insulation I signed up for for but it was a horrible experience , stressful and took time away from my work . I feel the job completed was correct in the end and I do not have icicles this year so energy is being saved. . I will not be using them for any services in the future though . .

The initial meeting with the representative went well. He brought examples of the windows with and explained the process. We chose the windows we needed and put a deposit down. There was a 13 week deadline, about halfway through, they came out and measured for the windows. Then we never heard from them after this. We waited and waited, finally, my husband called them, the response time was not great. They were not honest about the time frame, which went well past the 13 week mark! There was a lot of back and forth with e-mail, not even a phone call, which I thought was very unprofessional. FINALLY, we get a call, to set up the install, I gave them an earful on the phone, it has been very cold and we have been waiting and waiting for these windows! They did take some money off the windows, but it wasn't much, and that was not even the point! The point was, if you offer a service and you claim to have timely installs, then you SHOULD be able to follow through! Don't keep advertising on T.V. and radio to keep getting more customers, and not take care of the ones you ALREADY have! Then we set up a date, and then it was cancelled, the "crew" head foreman was sick. Guess what? The "crew" is one guy! ONE guy! Really? And they lied about them being "employees", they are NOT! They are hired Contractors! I would not recommend them to ANYONE! Yes, they have good products, but they need to go back to the drawing board and learn how to treat customers! I don't like being lied to and they sure did that! Once you lie to me, I am done!

It turned out to be a negative experience due to the company's unscrupulous business practices. A company representative spoke with me about the project and drafted a contract stating that the total cost would be approximately $900 which I signed. However, the owner called about a month after this and flat out said that they weren't going to do the job because the work was underbid despite that I had already signed.

Below is the exact complaint posted on Yelp and submitted to the Better Business Bureau First Read Rich B.'s comment (SEE YELP FOR REFERENCE). Same sales approach in my case, except the sales person pretended to call the owner to and quot;pushand quot; for their best deal. I found the whole charade to be ridiculous. He went as far as to say that he only had and quot;oneand quot; discount to offer for the day and if we didn't buy on the spot the price would go up. Also they'd want to put a sign in my yard to drive business. Of course this was in June and it's now mid-November so pounding a sign in the frozen ground covered by snow will be problematic, won't it? I've pasted the exact submission I made to the Better Business Bureau on 11/11/14 below. Well I can't comment on the quality of the product as it still has yet to be delivered/installed. I can share my absolute zero confidence in this company. Don't buy from them. The tactics at the point of sale are sleazy and cheesy with zero follow through on delivery. Company has yet to deliver on product ordered on June 20, 2014. We purchased three exterior doors on June 20th in anticipation of having them installed before Minnesota's inclement weather came. The salesman (Jeff) assured us that it would take 8 to 12 weeks to complete the order/install process. We're now 23 weeks from that date and have been blatantly pushed off on multiple occasions by Window Concepts because, as I've recently come to find out, they are understaffed to complete their work orders. This started at the end of August when I called to check on the status of our order. I was told that the doors were in the warehouse and I should expect a call shortly to schedule - that call never came. Instead I received a call to delay the install stating that the doors hadn't arrived. I called back in September to schedule when the doors were and quot;finallyand quot; in and was told they couldn't schedule at that time, but rest assured I would receive a call soon. I called back around the 4th of October and was again pushed off, this time directed to a sales manager, Jimmy who never returned my phone call. I called back mid-October, and in a rather blunt and heated exchange finally was scheduled for Nov. 11th. Last week I again received a call informing me that my installation would need to be pushed out further. I refused to accept that and shortly received a call from the owner, Greg who apologized for the delays, explained how busy they are, and that he'd guarantee his and quot;bestand quot; crew would be on time on the agreed upon date of Nov. 11th. I'm really at a loss at this point. This morning I was called by Mike on behalf of owner (Greg) to push the installation to an unspecified date citing complications on other jobs. I asked Mike when I might expect a call back and at this point demand that the company share in the cost of my wasted time, effort and energy to simply buy a product from them and have it installed as agreed. While I'm not accusing this company of fraud as I do believe they are busy, I am emphatically accusing them of being inept at running business and managing customer expectations. Expectations of which they've set and broke on multiple occasions since June.

The remodel took 4 days but someone from WC has been here 4 times in the last year (they'll be here again for a leaky tub liner) to fix something that should have been done properly in the first place. The vanity/granite counter top was incorrectly measured twice, this resulted in cutting into our walls to squeeze in the vanity and counter top. They drilled holes for our BATHROOM faucet to fit a KITCHEN faucet. This left us with a butt-ugly bathroom fixture. The faucet does not fit correctly..they jiggle when turning on/off. The vanity drawers "broke" a few days after install. They're still questionable. They're cheap and sound like they could fail at any time. They toilet was not set correctly, this resulted in incorrect flushing and "rocking" when in use. This was corrected when we called WC because a leak had developed. They came to repair it (free of charge). Once it was mounted correctly, it flushed, stopped rocking and stopped leaking. Now.....our 16 month old tub liner has water between it and our old tub. We have a call in to WC. I have no idea how their gonna fix this one. As far us we're concerned this company has no business remodeling bathrooms. The salesman who sits at your table and promises YOU EVERYTHING, is NOT the person doing the work. There was little communication between employees. We made a BIG $12,000. mistake by deciding to go with WC.

The people- sales, office, and installation- were good to work with, knowledgeable, and friendly. All did a good job making sure our needs were met. The installer spent extra time making sure the final installation looked like new construction. The product is expensive, but good quality. The biggest issue we had was with scheduling. It took three tries to get them out to do the initial quote. 8 weeks later when we hadn't heard any updates from them I played phone tag with the office to find out when our installation would be. When I finally connected with them at the end of the day on a Wednesday they said we could get the door installed the next morning or we would have to wait 8 additional weeks. Luckily we were able to shuffle our schedules to make the next day work. Not a lot of options for service windows.

I can't comment to the quality of their products or installation, but what I hope to do is give fair warning about their business practices. First, all of the people stating that Window Concepts wouldn't speak to them without both owners/decision makers present are spot-on. I should have questioned why the scheduler repeatedly asked if and quot;anyone else involved in the decision making process would be there.and quot; I thought it was weird that they required both of us to be present for the quote. After all, it's just a quote, right? It's not like I'm signing a legal document. Well, there was a reason. This is how my experience went, and from what I have discussed with others (I have 2 acquaintances who also received quotes) this is how the sales reps do business. I was interested in a quote for attic insulation in my 50-year old home. The sales rep arrived completely unprepared to inspect the attic. He didn't have a ladder to look into the attic, and had to borrow mine (which was not tall enough for him) so he couldn't even get a good look at the current insulation level. He peeked around with his flashlight for about 30 seconds, and came down to warn me that my insulation was and quot;very, very inadequate.and quot; So, after sitting down at the kitchen table, the sales rep proceeds to give me an absurd quote for the job. He also tries to sweeten the pot by saying that they are offering a 30-day-only discount and an additional discount if we signed that day. We weren't interested, so we said and quot;no.and quot; Immediately he asks to go to the bathroom, where he proceeds to make a phone call (my guess is that he was talking to his manager, but who knows, maybe he was ordering a pizza) in an attempt to let us stew for a bit. Maybe he was hoping that we would change our minds. Who knows. After he comes out, he says that he's sorry he couldn't make a sale, but then he asks, and quot;if I got my manager to agree to do this at cost, what would you say?and quot; We still don't want to make the deal, but by now we can tell that he's not going to leave. So we say, and quot;yesand quot;, and he calls his and quot;managerand quot;. He has a fake phone call with his manager (we can tell the guy on the other end isn't even responding) where we tells his manager that and quot;we are such a good couple, have a nice house, let's make this deal for themand quot; and then he turns to us and gives the final offer, but we have to tell him RIGHT NOW WHILE HIS MANAGER IS ON THE LINE. NO TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT. At this point we were both really frustrated, so we said yes, just to get the guy out of our house. One day later I walked into their store in St. Paul and cancelled. I have no interest in doing business with them due to their shady, high-pressure tactics. What kind of business won't let you take your time to think about it? That's crap. Pure crap, plain and simple. So, let this be your warning, too.

Estimator was very knowledge and that is why we went with this company. After that it was downhill. They came out to measure the doors and then I did not hear from them for almost 2 months. I contacted the to check on the stauts of my order. They finally got back to me to schedule the install. The installers showed up and were very nice then proceeded to do the work. They used a table saw right in front of my garage and all the sawdust went into the garage. There were nails and screws all over my yard and driveway. There were missing one screw to the handle of the sliding glass door and said they would get the maintenance person out to fix it. Again, I had to call to get something done. They mailed me a screw- POSTAGE DUE and it did not fit properly in the handle. Finally got the maintenance person out to fix it. I communicated all this to the company with photos and I have not received any kind of response. They have not even reimbursed me for the postage. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

We had them come out to put together an estimate on April 17th. We signed a contract with them that stated we were going to ArmorClad windows within the next 7-10 weeks. We put $4500 down on the contract. Fast forward to June and we hadn't heard from them, so we called them and were told that they were having issues with their manufacturer so they were on the hunt for a new manufacturer and as a result, couldn't tell us when we would be getting our windows. We told them we weren't comfortable with this since the windows we saw, touched and bought were the ArmorClad windows and we wanted our deposit back. They are refusing to give us our money back even though they cannot tell us when we would be getting new windows, nor who the windows would be from. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!

First, the sales rep showed up over 2 hours late. His explanation was that the clients at his prior appointment were so impressed with the quote that they decided to get an estimate for some additional work. Someone did call just prior to his original arrival time to tell us that he would be an hour late. When he did arrive he was pleasant and we went through the motions of designing our shower liner to our specifications. Then it came time for him to calculate the estimate for the purchase and installation. The estimate that was good for 18 months was in the 10K range (which is completely absurd for what we would be getting), but then of course if we decided right now we could get it for around 7K. That price kept dropping if we put out a sign in our yard, or let them put our address in a flyer, and other current deals that were about to expire. When I asked if we could have the weekend to think about it he got a little snippy and rude, and told us that in his experience if he left without having us sign the paperwork, that we would not be calling him back. He asked us what would be different on Monday compared to today. My husband and I don't make 7K decisions in 5 minutes. Overall I was seriously disappointed with our experience and do not plan on doing business with this company, ever.
Description of Work: While at a home show we were convinced to get an estimate for a shower liner. We were told that it was a no obligation estimate that was valid for 18 months. We explained to the woman that this was something that we were considering doing, but not immediately.

The salesman came out for an estimate and shot us some numbers. They were more expensive than the other companies that gave us estimates for the same work. When we told the salesman we were going to think about it, THATS when the hight pressure sales tactics began. He woul (what I think was fake) calling his boss several times to see what he would authorize ( I never heard any voice on the other end of the phone call), I did have to give the guy credit, he really pushed and pushed and wouldn't leave. After three hours of this, we finally got rid of him. My husband is a very kind mild mannered man, but he was just about at his breaking point too. After such a fiasco, I would never have them do the work.

First of all, my wife and I went to the Home and Garden show earlier this month. We spoke to Roxanne, the representative at the booth about attic insulation. She persuaded us to set up an appointment by offering us a $25 gift card. However, she said we would need the sales rep to look at our windows too. I told her we weren't in the market for new windows but she said it doesn't matter. She said to get the gift card we would need them to give us bids for both services but that there was no obligation for either service. I understood so we made the appt. for today at 11AM. About a week before the appt., they called us saying they need to reschedule it and push it to 1PM. I told them that my wife wouldn't be there if it got pushed back but that I would still be home. They said they'd prefer if both of us were there but said that it would be fine if it was just me so it got re-scheduled. So today the salesman arrived about 5 minutes late but that's not a huge concern. However, he didn't bring a ladder because he said he didn't know he was giving us an attic insulation bid until after he left. Not cool. But it got worse. After taking a brief look at the attic (which lasted less than 30 seconds) he said it looks fine and that was it. Told us it looked like about 12 inches which was perfectly acceptable. He didn't bring a tape measure or flashlight or anything. He wasn't exact or professional. He told me it wasn't worth doing and wouldn't even give me an estimate. To top it off, he didn't even put the hatch door back on the proper way and left insulation debris all over my floor which he didn't clean up. That was unacceptable. Complete waste of my time! To make matters worse, I didn't get my gift card. He knew my windows didn't need to be replaced by the look of them so he didn't give me a bid on that. He told me that since my wife was there that I couldn't get the gift card. They never said anything about that when I set up the appointment. What a horrible way to do business. In summary - they were late, didn't bring the necessary tools, didn't give me any estimates, made a mess and didn't give me the promised gift card. He couldn't get out of my house fast enough. We will never use them. They are not welcome in our home again. I would highly recommend you DO NOT use this company.

Was given an estimate for attic insulation. Was given a very high price. But wait....I could get 30% off. I said what about the ad I saw on TV that said 50% off? He said we can still do it. Then I told him of a another companies bid that was just a little less (even with the 50% off). So then he decided to call the and quot;ownerand quot; to see if he would agree to do the job at cost. The boss agreed to take off $500 IF we signed up and gave a deposit right then and there. I don't like the high pressure tactics and the phoney calls to get better deals and quot;just for usand quot;

Overall I'm happy with the quality of product and installation.

Overall, the job looked good. The main difficulty was with setting up the job. The sales person almost turned us off to this company.

We purchased a house that was built in 1985 several years ago. We noticed that there seemed to be a loss of efficiency in heating and cooling. We had an energy audit done by the energy company and they pointed to a need in sealing a wall top plate, attic hatch, and blowing in more insulation. I had Windows Concepts of Minnesota come out to quote the work that needed to be done. The sales person never went in the attic to see firsthand as we had a detailed audit report with pictures to work off of. We did have to sign a contract to have the work done within 3 months time. Due to unforeseen happenings we were not able to do the work within that time period. We were in risk of having to pay fees for breach of contract but Windows Concepts choose to work with us and let us make a down payment so we could postpone the work until fall. We just had the job completed today. The installers were prompt and thorough and offered me a peek before sealing the attic door up. I cannot yet vouch for the quality of the product as we need to experience it over several months. However, the company from the Sales, Customer Service, and Installation people were all professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. If the product does what it is suppose to do then I definitely would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Sealed wall header and brought the insulation up from R30 to R60.
