This shop is amazing. After no luck finding anybody locally who could repair wicker in my antique chair, I shipped the chair to the Wicker Shop. The quality and friendliness of the staff was top notch. I cant recommend them enough.

The caning on one of our dining room chairs tore over the Holidays. I took it to the Wicker Shop on 1/15/13 and was told it would be done around the 24th. I got a call on the 21st that the chair was done. They did a beautiful job on the caning and stained the cane perfectly to match the chairs finish. We were very satisfied with the price. I would highly recommend this business.

I have had wicker chairs in my kitchen for about 25 years. Finally, he wicker seats gave way. I brought five chairs with wicker seats to be repaired. They did the work as requested and it looked fine. But, within 1 or 2 years, the wicker on the chair seats started to weaken and eventually break. I brought the chairs back and asked them to redo them. I feel that 1 or 2 years life with wicker seats is ridiculously short. They questioned me about whether I was standing on the seats or using sharp objects to cut the wicker. They were very unpleasant. They agreed to repair the seats but only at 50% discount. So, I had them re-do the chairs. Again, the seats are weakening and coming apart after 1 or 2 years. I think this shop uses inferior quality wicker or weakens the wicker in some way or doesn't mount it properly. The experience has been most unpleasant and expensive.
Description of Work: Replacement of the wicker in seats of wicker kitchen chairs. Work was performed at the shop.

the completion date they gave me was quite a ways into the future, but when the date arrived, my chairs were ready. They seem to have lots of pieces lined up for work, so if you need something within a week or two, this may not be the place to take it. But if you can leave your work there for a month or six weeks, then this place is fine.
Description of Work: I brought in two willow chairs that were in pretty bad shape. They did a good job of repairing them. Very tedious work,. The bill was reasonable for the work performed.

Very well. The work I got back was superb. Both chairs looked like brand new. I think they cleaned both chairs and not just fix the two repairs that were ordered. They do have about a two-month queue to get to any job but one look at their workshop shows that they're very busy and not just taking their own sweet time. When getting something done, there may be "sticker shock" at how much it costs. However, you need to keep in mind that every job is custom work and they do good work.
Description of Work: Two chairs had to be repaired. One was a chair for a dining-room table that had to be re-glued. The other was a rattan lounge chair that had two nails that connected two different parts of the chair broken. The broken nails had to be dug out and then the parts re-nailed so that it matched the rest of the chair.

THE TWO CHAIRS WERE COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED AND RE-GLUED. THE RESULT WAS QUITE STURDY AND SEEMS LIKELY TO LAST, LOW HUMIDITY IN WINTER AND ALL. THE ONLY REASON I RATED THE PRICE A ''B'' IS THAT THERE IS SOME STICKER SHOCK ON WHAT IT COSTS. HOWEVER, IN RETROSPECT, IT IS OBVIOUSLY REASONABLE CONSIDERING THE WORK THAT HAD TO BE DONE. I ALSO SAY THAT IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET THINGS BACK. FOR MY CHAIRS, IT TOOK A MONTH TO COMPLETE THE WORK. HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD IN ADVANCE HOW LONG IT TOOK AND THERE WAS OBVIOUSLY A LONG QUEUE OF WORK AHEAD OF ME.
Description of Work: WE HAD TWO DINING-ROOM CHAIRS (NON-WICKER) THAT WERE COMING COMPLETELY UNGLUED. I TOOK THEM IN TO BE PUT BACK TOGETHER. (NOTE: THE PRIME LINE OF THIS COMPANY IS SELLING WICKER FURNITURE. HOWEVER, THEY SEEM TO REPAIR ALL KINDS OF FURNITURE WHETHER WICKER OR NOT).
