Numerous times I have had Vin Zant plumbers not show up and not call, but this recent event topped the cake. New year's day one of my radiators completely drained itself, obviously a broken pipe. Since it was as holiday, I was delighted when they answered the phone. I told them what had happened and set up an appointment for the following day's when no one showed up or called by 4:30 I called to see what was going on. They said someone would be there before 6. At 5:55 I called again. I was told they couldn't come out but could the following day, which was Saturday, for an extra charge. I said it wasn't my fault they didn't show up and i wasn't interested in paying an extra charge so made an appt for Monday, again telling them that the radiator had completely drained. They said John or Bob out Tom, some name like that, would be out between 7 and 10 am. I made sure he was one of their better radiator people, repeating my tale. At 9:30 no one had called or showed up so I called again. They said John / Bob / Tom would be there soon. The person that showed up was not who they said. He was apparently an apprentice who had been told I had a leak. I asked if he had time to fix it and he said he had to be somewhere else in 90 minutes plus wanted to tear up my walk then go so I told him to leave. I called them and told the manager Kristen what was going on. She said Jason, who is not at all good at showing up was the manager who sent the apprentice alone and scheduled him to be somewhere else. She said she would find out what was going on and let me know if Jason could come out. While I waited I called another plumber who said they could come out in an hr so I said yes. As I was ending that call Vin Zant called back and said they didn't have anyone to send that day. I said i thought I should be compensated. I had waited in good faith for them to show up Friday which they didn't then that day they sent an apprentice who didn't have time to do anything and didn't know what to do anyhow; i thought they should pay for the plumber who was coming out that day. She said to send her their bill and gave me their address. But now I have not heard from her and of course have not received a check, nor has she returned my calls. Today I left her another message that I would share my story on social media. After 4 hours I still haven't heard from her. Do not use Vin Zant!

Awful. First, they dragged their feet on the project. My carpenter got so mad waiting for the plumber that he was furious and threatened to quit the job. Second, they clearly were in no hurry. Instead of jack hammering the basement concrete, they sent in a muscle-bound non-plumber with a pick axe. Third, they disappeared before the job was finished. They left a drain pipe open and exposed in the basement. Suddenly, six months later, they demanded payment. Two weeks after that, they've already run to the court for payment. I couldn't decide if I should pay them, inviting them in to do more work, or to take my chances with the judge. The judge ruled in their favor without even looking at my photos of the incomplete work. So, my electrical contractor did great work! My framer did great work until he got frustrated with the plumber and gave up. And VinZant Plumbing killed the project with poor management. Their only plus? The guy that marketed the work and met with us up front seemed very knowledgeable and the poor sap that had to show up at court seemed like a nice guy. It's a pity they didn't do any of the work.

We contacted Vinzant at the recommendation of Nicole Curtis (Rehab Addict), who uses them for all her rehab jobs. The bid was much lower than I thought it would be, with minimal demolition of walls/ceilings. They used the flexible tubing and took great care with all our old fixtures--leaving them intact. James was the one who did most of the work, and I was VERY pleased with his efficiency and professionalism. And he cleaned up after himself!
