+ -1 moreSteve is a meticulous carpenter. He cares about what he does. He has an eye for detail and achieves a finished product that is smooth, fits fine, looks good. He take the time to talk with you about what you want and alternatives. He is a quiet, neat worker. Plus he is honest. I left the house many times while he worked. I recommended him to my daughter and her husband to rework to cut down cupboards for a dishwasher installation. They were worried that the cupboards would look cut up when they were done. They were delighted with his work. You can't see at all how the cupboard was cut down. I highly recommend Steve Vadnais.
Description of Work: Steve installed new cupboards and a bamboo counter top in the kitchen and did some trim work.

+ -1 moreSteve is incredibly knowledgeable about his trade, and completes his work with impeccable results! We were stunned that he eliminated all the squeaks from our stairs, and he has coached us through the most cost-effective way to get work done (such as stripping woodwork or shopping for lumber ourselves). Really careful, really skilled, absolutely highly recommended!
Description of Work: Steve is doing a number of finish carpentry projects at our century-old house, including door and window casing, base board, manufacturing plinth and stair spindles, and repairing stairs.

He showed up when he said he would, stayed longer than he needed to on many occasions, and his clean up on a daily basis was so thorough, you would not have known he was there. He was respectful of our home and of our family. He was invested in the project and seemed to really care about the outcome. He also happens to be an artist, and this clearly showed in his attention to every last detail in our created space. His work can only be described as flawless. I would without hesitation or reservation recommend him.
