The shower project was done by Lester and was finished in 2 days. Demolition of the shower and most of the tiling and shower fixture done the first day. Grout and hanging the new microwave the second day. Tile turned out beautiful and am very happy with the job Lester did. We had to save some money for the second project as Darren (the owner) isn't cheap but his work is great quality so worth it. I had also ordered a custom vanity which took a month to get. Darren and his crew do great work so they are very busy and you have to be patient. Darren the owner himself did the second project of the new tile floor, new vanity and faucet installation. The old flooring and subfloor had to be replaced because it was so old and it was a difficult tearout. I felt kind of bad for him. I'm very pleased with the results and will be calling him again very soon for more projects. He's prompt on calling you back in my experience and gets the job done when he says. I wish we had more money to finish everything I want to do because they do pretty much everything.

I contact Twin City Handyman through Angie's List and listed all the things I needed help with. The next day I received an email from Darren estimating the job at $700, and telling me they were booking about two weeks out. He asked me to let him know how I wanted to proceed. I responded via email immediately with a question and also saying, 'let's go ahead and place me on your schedule.' I never heard from Darren again. I waited, thinking he might be very busy. Finally on July 6 I called another service and they came out the next morning! I understand that Twin Cities Handyman may have a busy schedule - and perhaps they didn't want to strip wallpaper? Not sure, but either way I expect some sort of communication telling me they can't book or just don't want the job. I'm busy, too. That's all I ask.

Perfect, everything went exactly as planned. The owner and contractor went over each item in detail and was patient in answering my questions. They were also very prompt in returning my calls. I would use this company over and over again.

I am selling my town home. I was having a lot of showings and a number of purchase agreements that fell through. In each case, there was nothing about my home..just something in the buyers life and my Realtor couldn't get any information beyond that. So I had my own home inspection done for my peace of mind as I knew there was nothing seriously wrong. The Home Inspection report validated my understanding. But as inspections go, there was listed a number of things that could easily be repaired and are common. So I needed it done asap as we were having a lot of bookings and even another purchase agreement. So the first most important thing he did, was actually ANSWER THE PHONE! Which many just go to a voice mail or have a person get your info and attempt to contact someone. I told him my story and he said I will take care of it TOMORROW. I sent him the list I thought should be done from the report. And he suggested I send the whole report to see if he can get more of it done than I'm requesting. He saw all the different types of minor issues and calmly said..sure we can do that. And they did. They did all of the little things and there were many. I can't be there to inspect the work as I have already moved. But I could tell he was a person of integrity and I trusted him instantly. He is the best handyman I have ever used. And I have used a quite a few on Angie's list here. HE IS THE BEST. He is responsive, nice, professional, met my request for immediate work, did it at a fair price which included his materials. I couldn't have gotten any better service than he provided. He deserves a "happiness" indicator.

They arrived on time and did an exceptionally good job will all the items we asked them to do.

What impressed me was the customer service and fair price.

He was really good. He really did a great job on the work.

It was 2000$ for different projects. The owner came around and looked. He was professional and easy to work with. He was direct about what he could do and what he could not do. He was very upfront. He seems to be comfortable and adequately knowledgeable. We have not yet finished the projects but I will see the follow through. I was happy with him. It was a more comfortable experience than I expected. He made an appointment to come right away and got us the quote. He was a little late but he called us to let us know.

I am guessing on the date. I don't have that information with me. The project went well. The first person who was going to do the job was sick but a replacement was found immediately. There were no delays and the work was more than satisfactory.

I left three voicemail messages over four weeks requesting a quote or at least a response to gauge any level of interest. I have never had a returned call now 5 weeks after my initial contact.

He was very honest and he stuck to his original estimate. He went out of his way to make sure things were done correctly.

It looks amazing downstairs now. He actually designed and built the shelf, staining it himself and everything. It is really nice.

Darren assessed the work, and gave us a quote. From there, we scheduled the time for him to come out. Later in the day, he called & said he would be able to come sooner, as in the same day! We happily agreed. He was prompt, precise, and punctual. He explaned everything that needed to be done, cleaned up after himself, and did fantastic work. We barely heard him working.

Darren came and assesed the work done to date, worked out what still needed to be done, gave us alternative and more practical ideas / advice e.g. to have a 5' rather than 4' shower base to accommodate stool, how to get matching cupboard doors, etc. Was then patient with us as we waited for delivery of new base, which subsequently broke and he returned on our behalf to Menards / getting us full refund, then advised on better product Stayed late and worked long and hard to complete the job on final day (a Friday) Darren's a great, decent and fair bloke and would highly recommend. Had used him before and wished had gone to him at start of project

It ended up just being the faucet screen needed to be cleaned. I would recommend him.

It went really well. Darren was very clean while completing these task. Only took 3 days for him to do everything. The longest was waiting for the mudding to dry.

The fence looks great. Nice and secure. Darren came to the house with a helper. They fixed the fence, cleaned up, and left. They were very pleasant. We are very pleased .

It went good. His pricing was reasonable. He was really nice and professional. He came out right away and fixed it right then and there. He was good. Our garage door is still working properly until now. When he came out the first time, he fixed it and then it broke again but it was not his fault. It was at that point that it snapped.

Darren was prompt and worked quietly and efficiently. The shower looks great.

Dan was very responsive. He came out the same day I called him for the estimate. We scheduled the job for the following monday and tuesday. He was on time. I am pleased with the finished outcome. Thanks.

What a find Darren is! Very quick to respond, and schedule a time to meet me for an estimate at a property where I have renters. I had contacted 3 others on Angie's List, and I preferred his method of seeing the job site first, giving an estimate for the entire job, and following that with a written email. The job was scheduled for a few days out, and Darren agreed to my requested timeline, so I wouldn't miss a day of work. He was on-time, and I was 20 minutes late. He graciously accepted my apology, and got started, working very quickly and efficiently. As he finished one wall with the surround, replacing the hot and cold water faucet handles, the hot water pipe began to leak. He turned off the main water supply, and we found that the pipe connections from 1938 had finally had it. I was nervous, as Darren had mentioned going to another job, it was nearing the 5 o'clock hour, and renters would be home soon with family. Nerves only lasted about a minute, as Darren agreed to postpone his next job, send me out to get materials so he could finish the tub surround, and get new pipes connected. It all ended well, and I must say, the small additional charge to take care of the unforseen emergency was the icing on the cake. Hire Darren, and you will receive the best.

He is a really nice guy. I think he was overpriced. He actually did a few little things for me and he charged me so much. I have used him twice. He is usually very thorough and provided me a quote upfront. I had a really good first experience that is why I called him back, but the second time did not go as well as the first one. I have seen really good reviews on him; he is a really nice guy, so I do not want like zapping to really hurt him. The second interaction I did have with him, I was not really happy so I probably would not use him again for sure.

Darrell was very prompt and professional. He knows his way around fixing and installing many things. He was very pleasant to work with and his charges were reasonable.
