I was told that it would cost $35 to open the VCR up and see what was wrong. She suggested I just get a new VCR, which was the conclusion I had come to. They had several refurbished VCR's, and I was given good advice about the different styles. I ended up buying a $40 VCR which is working perfectly. They will be my first stop for future work of this kind.

I dropped off my DVD player on Oct 18th and had to give a deposit of $40 which was taken out of my acct immediately. I did not hear back from this company until Dec 8th with an estimate - It would cost an additional $45 to clean and adjust the laser. When I brought it in I was told it was worth repairing and in checking I did discover that is was a high end Toshiba DVD player. My frustration comes at waiting 2 months to receive the estimate! I called several times which did no good in motivating a quicker response. I called around and found a place that could repair it in 10 days but TLC's policy is no refund of the deposit. I would never use this company again!

They had told me 1 piece was hanging by a thread and if it would have gone then the TV would not work any longer. They are not good, their are not great, they are terrific. I could not be more pleased. They completed the work in half the time they said they would. They do not do in-home service. The shop is clean and neat. It is well worth the trip over there.

Very reasonable, professional, helpful and pleasant. I will go to them for any electronics repair in the future.

THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND QUOTED A PRICE FOR REPAIR BEFORE EVEN SEEING THE TV (I JUST GAVE AN ORAL REPORT OF THE PROBLEM). THEY THEN FIXED IT PROMPTLY FOR THE QUOTED PRICE. SEVERAL MONTHS EARLIER, I ALSO TOOK IN A PICAYUNE SOLDER JOB ON AN ANTIQUE ELECTRONIC DEVICE THAT WAS PART OF A GAS RANGE I WAS RESTORING, AND THEY VERY KINDLY HELPED ME OUT BY DOING THE WORK FOR $10.00. THEY ARE TWO WOMEN WHO REALLY LIKE WHAT THEY ARE DOING, WHO ARE HAVING A HARD TIME MAKING IT IN A "MAN'S" PROFESSION, WHO KNOW THEIR STUFF AND ARE HONEST. NOT ONLY WILL YOU GET GREAT SERVICE FOR LESS, BUT BY PATRONIZING THEIR BUSINESS, YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING AS WELL.

THIS IS A SMALL SHOP THAT UNEXPECTEDLY CLOSED FOR ONE WEEK DUE TO ILLNESS. BECAUSE OF THE DELAY I HAD TO GO BUY A NEW DEHUMIDIFIER - MY WET BASEMENT WOULDN'T WAIT. MY EXPECTATION IS THAT A BUSINESS SERVING THE PUBLIC WILL HAVE BACKUP TO STAY OPEN, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE HERE. THEY ALSO WERE UNACCEPTABLY SLOW IN RETURNING PHONE CALLS AND HAVE BEEN UNEXPECTEDLY CLOSED DURING POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. I WON'T USE THEM AGAIN.
