+ 0 moreStopped in for a review of the exhaust system noise. Ozzy quickly identified it as the catalytic converter. I made an appointment for two days later, where I could bring in the Jimmy and wait while the repair was performed. Ozzy was prepared for my appointment, and it took about an hour to remove the old converter and weld the new one in its place. I am very pleased with Ozzy's service, and would contact him, The Wonderful Muffler Man, the next time I have an exhaust system or custom welding need.
Description of Work: Original equipment catalytic converter on 2000 GMC Jimmy was broken-up internally and making noise with every bump. Ozzy removed the existing catalytic converter and welded an aftermarket universal catalytic converter (that was sized for the Jimmy) in its place. Problem solved!! :-)

+ 0 moreIt's nice to get someone who doesn't try to oversell anything and just fixes what needs fixing. I was given 2 options on prices. One fix that would quiet the car, but wasn't stock was $80 and the stock fix was $120 which was basically just the part added onto the labor of the first option. I would definitely recommend using him and will use him in the future.

Checked Angies List and was not suprised to see the same comments from past customers. Dropped the vehicle off without appointment and was happy to find out that they would be looking at the problem the following day. Received a call early the next day was told the cost for the repairs and the vehicle would be ready for pick-up by end of day. Happy to have my SUV back without the exhaust leaking! THANK YOU WONDERFUL MUFFERLER MAN :)

It is now six months later and the repair is working perfectly. I can tell they have the skills in this shop to probably fabricate any kind of exhaust system repair.

This is a small shop, so I was talking to the guy who was doing the work. Ozzie is low key, but an expert at what he does, the repair was completed promptly and professionally.

+ -1 moreIt was great! He was able to make the repairs by welding the system together instead of completely replacing it like other auto shops had recommended. This saved me a great deal of money. Furthermore, he was friendly and professional and did a great job. I haven't had any problems with the muffler system since his repairs.

+ 0 moreI have never needed muffler/exhaust work done before, so of course I went straight to Angie's List. The Wonderful Muffler Man on Rice Street had high marks, and I thought, with a name like that, they have to be good. And indeed they were. I was able to get in quickly, and the work was done in 45 minutes, while I waited. It's an old-school shop, run by a man who obviously knows his business, and his receptionist was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable as well.

+ 0 moreI was told by my Toyota dealer and my local mechanic that to repair the exhaust pipe I would need to replace my entire exhaust system for a cost of $1,000 to $1,500. I got a third opinion from this company and was thrilled to hear the damage could be repaired by welding the two pieces back together. I made an appointment to return and 30 minutes and $132 later, my car was fine. How wonderful that I didn't have to spend the extra money or fill the land fill with car parts that were still fine. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone.

Description of Work: I went to the Wonderful Muffler Man because of previous reviews. I had a check engine light with a code P0420 once revealed it showed that something with my catalyic converter was going wrong. After Ozzy inspected it he said it wasn't my catalyic converter but, my muffler needed to be replaced. He had me scheduled the very next day and it took less than a hour to have it serviced. The price was reasonable as well.

+ -1 moreMy catalytic converter was stolen off my 2000 Toyota Tacoma and the sound of the exhaust had become deafening. I took the truck in on Wednesday the 19th, Ozzie (and his glorious mustache) took one look at it, told the woman at the front desk what my truck needed and she made a few calls. She made the necessary arrangements for the parts to be delivered, provided an estimate and scheduled my repair for the next day. I dropped my truck off at their shop at 8:00 AM and received a call at 11:30 AM stating that the work had been completed and my truck was ready to be picked up. I paid exactly what I was quoted, received additional information from Ozzie and drove away in my now much quieter Tacoma. Very satisfied with the speed, quality and cost of their service. If I have any further trouble I WILL be returning to them and them alone.
Description of Work: Provided an estimate, scheduled the repairs, performed the repairs (pulling codes, installation of a new catalytic converter and exhaust piping including welding, installation of O2 sensors) the same day I delivered my truck to them.

+ -1 moreUsing my experience, I would say this owner was a very honest and very capable man and I thank him for being just that. From now on he has all my business!
Description of Work: My check engine light came on in my Camry, so I took it to a Toyota dealership. I was told one of the oxygen sensors was bad and that the sensor had stripped the threads in the exhaust pipe. They quoted me a price of over $1,200 to replace the pipe and sensor.I declined and was charged $120 just for the diagnosis (which is free from many auto supply stores).I took it to The Wonderful Muffler Man saying I needed to replace this very expensive front exhaust pipe.The owner called the next day and stated the pipe WASN'T stripped, only the sensor was. He replaced the sensor and also a broken bolt and I was fixed for under $300. A savings of over $900 comparied to the Toyota dealership.The owner could have replaced the pipe and gotten more money (because that's what I told him to do), but he was honest and saved me a lot of money. Great job!!!!!!
