I can’t say enough good things about Steve at The Little Carpet Store!!!! I first found him as his company was the company our contractor used when we finished our basement. For our basement, I went to visit Steve at his store and while I was quite overwhelmed at all the flooring choices out there, Steve was able to guide me towards a great carpet choice. We couldn’t be happier with the feel and the durability of the carpet we chose. In case you want to check it out, it was a Smartstrand carpet and the color was Spiced Rum 542. I highly recommend it. It is super soft and goes with many color schemes. We liked it so much that we also replaced an upstairs room with it as well. We opted for an upgraded dog friendly pad as our dog tends to have more accidents than I would like and it really helps me be able to clean it up easily. It was well worth the few extra dollars. Just this past month, we had a water leak from our water softener. Before we were able to pinpoint and stop the problem, water had spread through much of our new basement carpet. The carpet needed to be cut in a certain place so I could get fans under to allow it to dry, but I didn’t feel comfortable cutting my new carpet. I called Steve and he found time the next day to come to my house in the northern part of Minneapolis, cut my carpet correctly, and help me create a plan in hopes to save my brand new carpet. A few days later, after the padding was cut out and the carpet was dry, Steve came back to put down new padding and re-lay the carpet correctly. What could have easily been a homeowner’s claim was fixed with the quick help of Steve. Like I said at the beginning of this review…I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT STEVE AND HIS STORE!! I can’t imagine what I would have done had I used a big box store for my carpet. I’m sure they would have nickel and dimed me and I wouldn’t have gotten the personalized and efficient service I received from Steve (and for a very reasonable rate). THANK YOU, Steve, for being an honest and knowledgeable carpet guy. I will use him every time!!!!

Good communication, responsive to emails, work performed on time and without issue.

We had a bit of a carpet emergency days after closing on our new home. It came to our attention that the carpet was beyond repair and needed immediate replacement before we could move in. My wife and I did some very quick shopping around within the next 2 days, visiting with 4-5 different carpet providers. Steve was hands down the best. Both with service and price. He understood our predicament and the timeline we had to work with and did everything he could to help us out. I was emailing, calling, and texting him multiple times a day and I don't think I ever went more than 30 minutes without hearing back from him. It was very reassuring for us during our time of crisis. The very first day I spoke with him he offered to meet us at his shop in the evening to look at samples and let us take plenty home. He put an order in for us the next morning. Steve was able to get out to our house the morning after the carpet came in and had 2,000 sq/ft of carpet installed within a day and a half. He personally drove out to our home in Rosemount twice during that time to make sure everything was going smoothly, it was much appreciated. All in all I could not have been happier with the service provided by The Little Carpet Shop and I would recommend them to anyone.

Steve was great to work with. Very responsive, always on time. Steve was able to install great carpet in our rental townhome with very little notice. Instead of apartment-quality beige, we were able to get fantastic carpet for our new tenants at a phenominal price! After getting ridiculous quotes from a big box and an installer who was clearly too busy to even talk about installing carpet for at least two months, we were worried. I called twenty different companies and guess who contacted me immediately? It was The Little Carpet Shop! We will need to replace carpet in our home in the next year and will be calling Steve!
