Description of Work: I had originally asked for an estimate for two bathroom remodels. In the end I only had the master bathroom remodeled because of cost. Estimate, scheduling and completion were very professional.

Description of Work: We had a window out of alignment that would not properly open and close. John was able to fix it much faster than was anticipated. Since he charged by the hour, he asked what else need to be done and we had some window caulking and some doors that would not properly close. He caulked the windows, and planed the doors and fixed their latches. So a lot of work was performed. John was cheerful, helpful and cleaned up. He can do any number of projects and we would certainly recommend him.

Description of Work: A bunch of roof vents, although structurally sound, were rusting and unsightly. Handyman guy sanded the vents, and then primed and painted them. Vents turned out great, and the work was done more quickly than estimated, saving me $300 from the estimate. Very punctual and professional.

Description of Work: Replaced our front door including storm door. Not an easy job given some unknown rotting to subfloor, etc. | |John and team did a great job and owned the work from start to finish. On time, attentive, very helpful in making decisions about options/choices, etc. | |Mike was great - a gem to work with. | |I will use them on our next project for sure.

Description of Work: It took a week for the contractor to come in to see what work needed to be compelted. He stated that he would email a quote and to this date , I have never received it. This is the first service I have used for Angie recommendations and I was not not impressed.

Description of Work: They put in a new front door and screen door. It turned out very nice. Some framing was put around the door that our townhouse association is requiring us to remove now, which is a bit of a hassle since we don't have the tools or know-how to do it, but overall it was a great job.

Description of Work: Excellent work by the guys who actually did the work (Mike and Bill). Fixed roof, significant porch fascia work, den window, basement stairs bannisters, bathroom trim work. I believe workers explained honestly and accurately my options and followed through effectively. On advice from the Contractor Johnny, I purchased and picked up materials (best intention) that were not used. These were returnable items. Still, a hassle. Initial communication with Contractor Johnny was reassuring but reflected only partly what the job ended up looking like. A window had to be re-ordered a couple of times, so the job took a long time to complete. Eventually, Johnny and I got on the same page, communication wise. Johnny made the situation right in the end. Overall, a fair experience.

Description of Work: Various repairs for a small leak, deck work that needed repairs, and french doors that needed repair & adjustments. The men that came, Ricky & Jeremy, were helpful & complete gentlemen - Wow!!

Description of Work: John answered me quickly and suggested someone who had expertise in cabinets. My chopping block top was finished within a few weeks; we love the look. The gentleman who did the work was very nice and even fixed a bathroom cupboard with a little sanding. John Thomas sent me his card along with a thank you note - when does this ever happen anymore?!?! I will certainly call him for other jobs.

Description of Work: They came out and replaced my old medicine cabinet with a new one.

Description of Work: This provider did not show up to our first scheduled appointment. I rescheduled and left work early the following day and the provider did not show up. I called and scheduled for later that afternoon. The provider made it to that appt but was late. I received an estimate and was to be contacted by the provider and that call was also late, at which time I chose to shop for another provider.

Description of Work: We contacted them via website. He called a couple of days later and left a voicemail that he would call the work number. He never called. We called them a couple weeks after that and left a voicemail. He never returned the call. We chose someone else.

Description of Work: During the initial service call, the technician said the tile damage was too extensive to repair with caulk. He measured, took pictures and said he would get an estimate to me within a couple days. Then, the Handyman, John, contacted me and wanted to stop by as well later in the week. He stayed for about 5 minutes and said he would be sending his 'tile expert' and would call me to let me know when he was coming. This person showed up unexpectedly later that afternoon. He provided an estimate on the spot (which I thought was high) and warned me that the tile might not line up correctly and the grout might not match. I passed on the estimate and prefer not to do business with this service provider.

Description of Work: I called to make an appointment with the service provider. I was called back and told that the service can't be provided, because I want to use the service for the rental property I own. I was told to get refund from Angie's List.

Description of Work: Mike from Handyman inspected shower base and basement bath ceiling where there was evidence of leakage. He said caulking and grouting would not stop leak and couldn't be done without damaging tiles. Will require repair/remodeling of shower. No work performed. Mike was very helpful and owner John Thomas made followup call to discuss. Will keep Handyman in mind for possible future work.
