SUPERIOR FLOORING CORP

Carpet was purchased and installed. We had scheduled all of the work to be completed in one day but half of the crew left mid day and the job took two days. We were on a very tight schedule so this was a huge inconvenience. The berber carpet we bought has had ongoing problems with developing loops and unraveling. Contacted Superior who sent out an inspector who took a carpet sample for testing and told us the installation on the stairs was sloppy and needed to be corrected. Carpet came back from sample testing as fine and inspector deemed the problem as a "mechanical issue". Superior claimed the looping was caused by the vacuum or pets (no pets inside this house) and we use a Kirby that has never damaged any carpet we have ever had. They did come out and clean up the sloppy installation job on the steps but we have had continued problems with looping of carpet and the edges of the steps were unraveling. Contacted a different company to come and take a look and they said the problem was the stretcher used during installation- loops were cut underneath and they were getting loose and working their way to the surface. Also told us the carpet was not installed properly near our ceramic tile- it was cut too short and thus needed to be stretched again with no guarantee that it will hold.

CARPET INSTALLATION WAS FANTASTIC: QUICK, ON TIME, AND COURTEOUS. I HAD A TIGHT SCHEDULE AND THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING. IT WAS A HARDWOOD FLOOR A SUB HAD MESSED UP. THEY PAID A SECOND SUB AND TOTALLY RIPPED UP AND REPLACED THE $7,600 FLOOR! GREAT PEOPLE.
