Stumpy's build a deck for our new construction home that included a Trex deck with stairs (and gate) and a cedar pergola. The deck looks great and we love the outcome. Would definitely use Stumpy's again, the team working on the project was great as was the project supervisor. Because we did not have a deck, the project required removing siding, adding a ledger board (two if you include the pergola's), pouring footings, etc. Everything turned out great. Project took longer than expected due to a very late spring and high amounts of rain. Would have liked more communication on the timing of the project starting, but everything up to signing an agreement and once the project was started was absolutely great. Would use in the future for a screened in porch plan we have for under our new deck in a few years.

Stumpy's power washed 2 decks and sanded and stained them. They also power washed dozens of landscaping stepping stones around the yard. They power washed a paver brick patio and leveled loose areas and added set/sand between the pavers. I live in a very shaded area with many trees so this was a big job to repair everything after many years of neglect. Stumpy's was prompt, reliable, professional and very pleasant to work with and has fantastic employees. The early cold and wet Fall weather caused many problems with the staining but they brought in heaters to warm and dry the decks. Everything is absolutely gorgeous and just like new again. Stumpy's went above and beyond. I would highly recommend them to everyone!!!

Was given a fair bid price, work was done very professionally and I am very happy with the results. Power washed, sanded, and stained deck. Also replaced boards that were rotting. Team was very easy to work with. Would recommend them and use them again.

Very honest workers. They told me up front that i may need to repair the underlying structure of the deck if it's rotted, but they would only know once they remove the planks . When they did they said the structure is sound and very good so no underlying structure repairs were needed. They made additional fixes by putting in proper flashing that they noticed was missing around the perimeter of the house. So, they took genuine interest in doing a really good job.

I hired Stumpy's to do a deck replacement. A rather complicated project - the deck was over the driveway and had a rather long span for the entry to the tuck under garage. Stumpy's was not the lowest bid, but they were the company that explained it best to me. Dennis answered my questions and convinced me that he and his team were professionals who knew what they were doing. Yes, that span would require an engineered beam and yes that is expensive and no he would not compromise on it. And yes the footings need to be so big and so deep and no, the old footings won't do and will need to be replaced. And yes it will need to be permitted and plans approved by the city and then inspected at several stages during construction. I had the feeling that some of the other companies I asked to bid on the job didn't even realize all this. Stumpy's provided far nicer plans of what the result would look like and a well-itemized estimate. Also, I don't even live in the area (I rent the property out) so I knew that much would be communicated by phone calls and emails. Dennis and Stumpy's gave me the best feeling about dealing with this remotely. I am very pleased with the end result and with Stumpy's, as is my tenant.

This is the first time I used this web site and I was very pleased. I received a phone call right away from Dennis and he was very personable and made me laugh. I was one month away from my daughters graduation party. Dennis said they were busy and I was in a panic. Dennis came to the house and sent me the quote the next day. He assured me the deck would be done before the party. Dennis suggested using Cedar and Black Medal Spinal's and a Cedar Privacy fence. He said it would look nice for the party. The project was done two weeks prior to the Party! His Crew did a wonderful job. Dennis stopped by for a visit to see the final result. It is beautiful. I had so many compliments from our friends and family. Dennis really cares about his clients and making them happy. He is a gentleman and i feel like i have known him for years. Dennis had communicated and worked with us on the project from the estimate to the finished deck at all time. The estimate is accurate with no surprises to the final cost. The work crew is professional and take the time to do the job right and yet finished the project on time. The materials chosen on the new deck are much better than the original deck materials. The finished new deck is much sturdier and the design provided by Dennis is great; the finished new deck adds additional residual value to our house. TM Wong

Spectacular! We had a family BBQ reunion at my home. I was really worried about my deck getting done in time. No worries!, Dennis came out the next day to give a quote, work started in short time. From the first conversation with dennis to the last screw in the deck, our experience with stumpy's was awesome. Dennis designed us a great looking deck and Daniel and his crew built it to perfection. they let me know if extra work needed to be performed and got my ok instead of just doing it. From start to finish it took 3 days which also impressed us. They kept our budget in mind every step of the way and there were no sudden unexpected costs. we are overjoyed with our new outdoor space and I would highly recommend this awesome group of professionals hands down! Used this site for the first time. Within minutes had a call from Dennis. Explained I had an urgent need and could he do anything the next day. He did! He had the best crew out to power wash my deck. I was so pleased they came back and did a complete stain finish. Was so please had the crew power wash concrete areas as well. I have used other deck services which damaged my deck and had to replace. I was very unsure of what to expect. They were great! took their time, did it right, let it dry, finished up and did not damage anything, and were reasonably priced. I couldn't be more pleased. Dennis and the team are professional and responsive.

Stumpy's crew did an excellent job from start to finish. They removed my second story deck above a walk out basement and built a very solid and attractive deck It's actually a far superior deck than the one that was built with the house 23 years ago. Dennis and his crew were great to work with and we feel that the money we spent was worth every penny. I highly reccommend Stumpy's if your deck needs to be replaced or repaired.

Dennis and crew were professional throughout and the deck was a big project, completed in 5 days, now we are out using and loving the space.

Daniel & crew did the work to perfection in 3 days...small deck no stairs. Even pointing out 2 support beams rotting that needed to be replaced for safety. Trex composite colors we wanted were perfection.

As they have not yet completed the deck I have been very happy with the great job and the customer service I have received from them to date. I will have them take over on my other in house project to do my interior railings as well.

Daniel did a fantastic job cleaning and sanding my deck. The project took longer than the 1 day that was initially scheduled and since additional time was not allotted for him to return on consecutive days, it took several weeks to complete. I had a "lifetime" sealant applied to the deck after sanding/cleaning. I had concerns that it would not penetrate the dense Tiger wood boards, but was assured that it would. After the first heavy rainfall, all of the sealant washed away. Nonetheless, the deck still looks beautiful.

They made our deck look like new. I'm ecstatic.
