Description of Work: My refrig/freezer was dead. I was told about Steves by a relative of mine. The service was exceptional. I was immediately greeted and taken care of. They were even able to deliver my new refridge/freezer the very same day which was an unexpected surprise! The delivery and setup guys were friendly and professional and clean. The prices were good too. I will be back. So much better than any other store experience.

Description of Work: The oven was not heating so asked to have it repaired. Serviceman did not look at the stove but determined the problem when I told him what was not working. Didn't check to see if there were other issues with the stove. Spent more time joking with the man responsible for ordering the parts and then sitting in the driveway on his cell phone than considering the problem. When the part arrived, store called to set up appointment to install. My husband asked him to cover the wood floor prior to pulling the oven from the wall. He was very rude to him, but finally agreed to cover the floor before moving the stove. (A previous repair to the refrig in which they failed to cover the floor resulted in damage to the floor.) Only part of the problem with the stove was solved. Still warming burner and cleaning feature don't work. When I decide to have those repaired, I will not be contacting this store. I've always tried to do business with local vendors rather than big box stores, but this was the last time with them.

Description of Work: They diagnosed the problem over the phone, ordered the part, then sent a tech to do the installation. That meant only one service call fee!

Description of Work: Replaced the console on my dishwasher. He called to say he was coming. Arrived on time. Ran the diagnostics. Called and found the part. Gave a quote. Went to pick it up. Came back and installed it! He was courteous and professional.

Description of Work: Gas dryer was not heating. Called a number of places, found most don't do after-hours phone answering even. Steve's also did not but at least I was able to contact them at the time they posted they opened in the morning, surprisingly others did not answer even then. They arranged to come two days later, the repairman did come in the appointed interval. He quickly diagnosed the problem as the gas coils and even had parts on hand to fix it immediately. Think price was too high, he charged for an hour, perhaps its the minimum, even though he only took half an hour.

Description of Work: I bought a new washing machine. I went into the store thinking the way to go was with a front loading style. The salesman listened and explained to me that there really isn't any advantage, and the front loaders are much more expensive when they need to be serviced. And they're more likely to get mold in them than top loaders. So I bought Whirlpool Cabrio, for less money than a front loader, and it's been great. I learned a lot -- front loaders are a fad.

Description of Work: WE HAD AN OLD WHIRLPOOL MICROWAVE REPAIRED. THEY CHARGE $30 FOR LOOKING AT THE SMALL APPLIANCE, & THIS IS THEN APPLIED TO THE REPAIR IF YOU GO AHEAD WITH THE REPAIR. THEY GAVE US AN ESTIMATE IN A DAY OR TWO, AND THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED TWO DAYS AFTER WE AUTHORIZED THE REPAIR.

Description of Work: PURCHASED NEW TOP-OF-THE-LINE WALL OVEN, DISHWASHER AND REFRIGERATOR FROM STEVE'S APPLIANCES WHO ALSO INSTALLED THE APPLIANCES.
