The guys (Craig and Paul) were knowledgable, found the leak quickly, and made the necessary repairs. They also fixed the toilet and sink fast...all the time being careful. They were great about telling us what was going on, and cleaned up as they worked. We will very likely use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced a leaky pipe, fixed a toilet, and fixed a faucet.

Charlie, Phil and Keith are great to work with. They ordered the items I selected and Charlie delivered the kitchen sink while our countertop installer was still on-site to make sure the sink I selected would fit in a tight space. Phil and Keith came out 2 days later to do the actual installation. Everything fit perfectly and looks great. We couldn't be happier with the result. We will definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Sourced and installed a new kitchen sink, faucet and disposal and a new bathroom sink and faucet. Also installed shut off valves under the kitchen.

I contacted St. Paul Pipeworks after my attempt to replace the P trap under the bathroom sink resulted in a broken connection to the adjoining waste pipe in the wall. I called on a Sunday expecting to leave a voicemail, but someone picked up the phone and said they would be out Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon Phil and Keith (Not 100% sure on the names, but they were super awesome) came out and gave an estimate. Due to the fact that the existing pipe tied into a lead waste pipe that is no longer up to code, they would have to not only replace the p trap, but also the associated lead pipes. The original price quoted was $837, but they gave me a $100 discount at the end due to "how well the job went" (they were there for less than 2 hours including estimate time). Pretty cool, but still incredibly pricey. Now, I didn't get other estimates, as I preferred to get the job done that day and so they completed it that afternoon. So I'm not sure if other places would have been cheaper or not. Prices aside, both men were incredibly professional and did lay out canvas drop cloths on the floor to keep things clean. After they had finished replacing the p trap, I peeked in and noticed that they had replaced the white exposed pipe with a black one. I asked if that was my only option, and they immediately offered to switch the part to a white piece (it's an all-white bathroom). Overall, I was very satisfied with the speed, service, and professionalism, and I will call them again in an emergency. If I have a plumbing project that is a bit more flexible time-wise, I'm sure I will shop around a bit more.

Fit me into their schedule for emergency repair - Phil and Keith did a great job making a repair to a difficult to access part in our basement shower stall. While they were at it they also changed out the leaking shower head and replaced the toilet shutoff. Phil also gave me estimates for some upcoming kitchen and bath updates. Nice to find a plumber I feel comfortable working with - I definitely recommend St Paul Pipeworks.

Not much to say, they did a great job. They let me know when they were coming, if something changed, they let me know. Paul, the tech who showed up was really nice. He explained to me what he was doing and didn't make me feel like an idiot, he was efficient, friendly and upfront. I would totally use them again.

My clotted, galvanized iron plumbing fell apart. I had been researching and planning to attempt the replacement myself when it was still functional. Then it fell apart, so I tried to take that on myself. Well, long story short, I was in over my head. We had no running water. My wife was beyond livid (and understandably so). I tried to save a few bucks by buying a used waterheater off craigslist. After I arranged a truck, picked it up, wrestled it into the basement and hooked it up - it didn't work. This was on day 2 and I was about only 25% finished and the problems were stacking up. Long story short - that bum water heater was the last straw. That took every ounce of fight right out of me. My neighbor works for St Paul Pipeworks, so I called him and asked if he could deliver me a water heater. He was there with a new water heater within an hour. As we were talking, he was looking at my work and it was obvious I was very stressed. I asked if he could take over the job. As luck would have it, he was supposed to be on a 2 day job somewhere else that got cancelled at the last minute. He and his partner jumped right in. This was about 12:00 noon or so. They made great progress and that night we were able to use the toilet and shower and kitchen sink. The came back the next day and finished in about 1/2 a day. Also - for free - he replaced the drain lines under my kitchen sink. I didnt ask him to and he didnt charge me for it. It was a slppy install and he just didnt like the looks of it. Anyway - their work is flawless. There was one tiny little problem - a drain valve going to the outside hose bib was installed backwards, so I couldn't drain the line for winter time. One call and they promptly fixed that. (It took all of 10 minutes for him to fix) All work is guaranteed for one year. The last thing I will mention is that they are all really good guys. Charlie the owner, Phil and Keith are who I worked with on this project. Their prices were more than fair. I will be a customer for as long as I live in their serivce area and I recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

I called this morning at 10:00 a.m. suspecting a frozen pipe, since I wasn't getting hot water from my kitchen sink or dishwasher. A plumber and his apprentice were here by 2:00 to diagnose and fix the problem. They had to cut a small access panel in my basement ceiling and they informed me of what they were doing at every step. They did a fabulous job and I will definitely hire them again.

Everything went very well and the service was exceptional. It's been a while since I've needed a plumber and I consider myself fortunate because they are expensive. I did feel I got my money's worth from St. Paul Pipeworks because of the quality of the work. I appreciated being given several options for a replacement disposer and a clear price before the work was done. I also appreciate their being able to take care of the laundry tube at a minimum cost (including being introduced to a new and more efficient drain cleaner that will allow me to keep it clean in the future). The only glitch was that I forgot to remind them to check the water pressure in the bathroom. I called the owner, Charlie Avoles, and explained the situation. He came out the next day and showed me how to easily fix the problem myself with no additional charge. Finally, I had read Angie's list reviews complaining about plumbers pressuring people into buying maintenance programs. I was not interested and appreciated that no one from Pipeworks even brought it up.

Craig and Keith were both courteous and discussed all the details with me. I explained our symptoms as well as what we had attempted to do on our own. While explaining what we installed to fix it the first time, I could tell from Craig's puzzled reaction that we probably hadn't done something right. They were more than happy to talk me through the process and didn't mind that I hung out to watch how they fixed it. Throughout the process they were very good about discussing possible options without pressuring me to choose a more expensive option. I appreciated that. I have little doubt I'll be calling them again in the future.

It went great! They do the work as if this were their own business and their personal reputation depended on it. They made good recommendations with both cost and quality in mind.
Description of Work: Replaced all old galvanized pipe with PEX. Added new gas line. This was an unexpected project due to a sudden leak, but they were here immediately to stabilize the situation and did the work the next day. The work was done very professionally and the quality seems very high. I would definitely use these guys again - and refer them to friends!

The experience was great. The plumber warned me that there could be an issue with the old pipe that I had, but said he was pretty sure he could take care of the issue quickly. He was able to - and I was incredibly impressed that he didn't try to just talk me into the difficult and expensive repair. He told me a best case / worst case scenario - then I lucked out that the best case scenario worked! He also gave me free advice about my toilet, and said that he would do a couple extra repairs if I wanted, but he was certain with the knowledge I have I'd be able to do them myself. Again, this impressed me. He was respectful and honest - and I won't hesitate to call St. Paul Pipeworks again because of this! A+!

Excellent service from start to finish! While making my initial call to the company to schedule a plumbing service call, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself speaking directly to the owner of the company. He was very courteous and was able to give me an idea of what to expect with the work that we needed done. The plumber that showed up to our house called before he came over to see if it was alright if he showed up a bit early since he was running ahead of schedule. He was very friendly and professional and made a point to listen to my concerns. He proceeded to inspect the items that needed attention and then presented some different options to save us some money. The pricing options were upfront so there were no surprises after the work was completed. I especially liked the fact that there was no pressure to make any decisions. He left it up to me to decide which direction I wanted him to go and then completed the work in a timely fashion. Everything looks and works great. Our plumber made sure that everything was cleaned up after the work was completed and even reattached our hose to the faucet that was replaced outside. Sometimes, it is the small details that leave a lasting impact. While some companies claim to have good service, this company PROVED it by going above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely use this company again in the future for our plumbing needs and will recommend them to others.

Believe it or not, I called St. Paul Pipeworks on Wednesday morning and left a message. My call was returned within the hour and we agreed to have a plumber come out between 1:00 and 3:00 PM to look at the project and give me a price on the work. Two men came out a little after 1:00 and assessed the work and gave me a very fair price for the work. Once I gave the go ahead, they started the job and were completed within 2 1/2 hours. The work was completed in a competent and workman like manner. The space was left cleaner than when they started. The two men were personable as well as professional. I would recommend St. Paul Pipeworks to anyone with a plumbing issue. P.S. They give a discount on the assessment price to Angie's people.

Description of Work: St. Paul Pipeworks, notably Keith and Phil, took out our old kitchen sink faucet and installed a new one I had purchased at Costco. They also hooked up the soap dispenser that had never really worked for me. Also fixed the plug on one of our sinks in Master Bath and cleaned the shower head in the Master shower. Whew!!
