ST PAUL FLORAL

I called ahead and ordered a corsage and boutonniere for my son and his girlfriend for prom. I was going to go with white because I was worried I would not match their shade of teal apparel. The gal on the phone suggested I try to match the dress and turquoise was "in" this year. I took her advice. When I picked them up - I knew right away the color would not match. I asked her if maybe I could get white ribbon to take home and try to switch the colors before prom - I did have enough time. She proceeded to tell me how hard that is to do and it took her years to learn. I would NEVER be able to do it on my own. I did tell her I'd really try - I just knew it was not going to match. She finally said she would make me a bow and wished me luck on trying to take a wrist corsage apart. I told her I would try my best. I asked for a little more ribbon for my sons boutonniere since the stem was wrapped in the turquoise as well. Again - she reminded me that she knows how to do it and I would never get it. For my 53.00 that I spent - you'd think she would have wanted me to be happy. I was very polite and patient and tried to find a solution that would not put her out. I felt belittled and put down by her constant reminders that SHE knew what she was doing. We came home - clipped the wire on the old ribbon and re twisted the new white one on. It was a breeze and took a couple minutes for both pieces. The kids were happy and so was I. I will never use St. Paul Floral again. I don't know if I was working with the owner or an employee.
