+ -1 moreOur experience was disappointing. We have a very large yard & agreed to pay Tim exactly what he quoted -$285/month. He knew we were anxious to get our yard in shape & bragged about owning another business & how busy & successful he was. I believe in giving young people a chance & trusted his commitment. He never showed up - never called - never dropped us a note of explanation - wouldn't return our phone calls. We were shocked & disappointed! His lack of ethics in following through with his service commitments raise a red flag about what is going on for him? Is he serious about developing a business? Why is his performance so eratic? When checking his references there was a concern that came up & I chose to give him a chance anyway - my mistake. Good luck! Tim - we hope you are able to get back on track, and conduct yourself in a more dependable and honorable manner. A simple phone call could have explained your actions.
Description of Work: When I contacted Tim, I was so excited because he agreed to come out early the next morning & give me a quote to do our lawn service for the season. He showed up 4 hours late, but convinced me he wld like the job, was knowledgable, dependable & enthusiastic. He committed to come the following week & do spring cleanup & lawn service every Thursday. I clearly asked him if he was giving me his word he'd show up & he promised to be here. He didn't show Wednesday, which he promised to get the first work done. I called, he said he'd be here Thursday - never showed. I called him repeatedly - he has never given us the courtest of a return call & has never shown up - it's now been three weeks - no word back from him. He put us in a difficult spot because it's hard to find lawn care at this time of year. He talks a good game, but his word is not reliable, & at the end of the day what we all have is: our integrity & our truth. Tim's actions were not professional & lacked integrity.

+ -1 moreTim did a very good job; however, he does NOT SHOW UP WHEN HE GIVES YOU A TIME!!! Will finally show up & work an hour or 2 (if you're lucky), then leaves for a few days but says he will be back "tomorrow" to finish up. Our estimate was $750 but the finished job was over $800!
Description of Work: Remove old sod in back yard, put black dirt & new sod down, along with wood chips, along fence & tree. Also, put lumber around tree to hold wood chips in place.

+ -1 moreI called several others on the Angie's list and never received calls back. Tim not only called me back, but he came out that same week and gave me a quote. I have hired Speedy to do my work and I will give a updated report once he starts (week of 4-17-06), but I anticipate that he will do a great job.
Description of Work: I was looking for someone to do my weekly mowing and general up-keep on my yard.

THE CREW WAS ON TIME, COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND WORKED HARD TO MEET THE TIGHT DEADLINE FOR A SPECIAL EVENT. THE PRICE WAS EXACTLY AS QUOTED. THE VALUE WAS GOOD AND THE PROJECT LOOKS GREAT. WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS COMMENTS AS TO HOW GOOD THE JOB TURNED OUT. WE HAVE HAD OTHER SERVICE PERFORMED BY THIS COMPANY IN THE PAST AND IT ALWAYS GOES SMOOTHLY.
