We could not have been more pleased with how this remodeling project turned out! We have had 10 years experience working with Spacemakers Remodeling and they have never disappointed! From our 1st meeting with Rick Grindland on this project, meeting many times with his very capable design consultant Kian Dwyer, and through the actual work, everything went exactly as they said it would. All of their subcontractors were top-notch and punctual, completing the work on time and to Rick's and our satisfaction. After some ceiling work was done, Rick wasn't quite happy with a hardly noticeable difference between the old paint and new paint and had it redone. His everyday workers, Tony and Clay, were always on time and did outstanding work. Minor things that I would have let slide they would rethink and redo until it was perfect at no prompting from us! At the end of the day, they always cleaned up and left us with usable space. We felt all of the people involved in this project treated our house as if it was their own and their attention to detail was amazing. Our 94 year old mother lives with us and is challenged mobility-wise. Everyone was very caring and went out of their way to make sure she was able to get around without tools, painting cloths, or electrical cords laying in the way. They would adjust their work schedule if she had some care needs at certain times of the day. We greatly appreciated this extra level of attention and service! As stated before, we've had 10 years of working experience with Spacemakers and if a question or problem arose from the previous projects, Rick has always been there to answer questions or correct the problem right away. He stands by his work and we are confident that going forward we will receive the same kind of attention from Spacemakers that we have received in the past. We would have chosen Spacemakers for that reason alone, but we are well aware that their cost is below that of other comparable remodelers in our area. Between service, quality workmanship, and value, we would not hesitate to recommend Spacemakers Remodeling to anyone!
Description of Work: Extensive home remodeling- complete kitchen remodel including cabinetry, countertops, island, and tile work, added hardwood flooring in family room and porch, additional lighting and electrical work, bathroom and laundry room flooring, carpeting, and painting. Also leveled a deck that had some frost heave issues.

It was a pleasure to work with Spacemakers. They were very responsive to our design ethic and requests, and did a great job of keeping us informed of the project status, issues and alternatives It was a little stressful to live with so much of our home undergoing renovation at the same time, but we love our new kitchen! Thanks, Spacemakers!

From start to finish working with SpaceMakers Remodeling has been a great experience. This is the first time we contracted anyone to do work on our behalf so we weren't sure what to expect. From the first meeting Rick, SpaceMakers founder and Kian designer, the process was smooth and organized. Kian was great in her design ideas, she immediately caught on to our tastes and never once made us waver from that. Rick was professional, honest and straight forward. The work began with completely gutting both kitchen and master bath. The work proceeded swiftly and productively. Tony, Ricks right hand man was a delight to work with, had a great sense of humor and worked long and hard to get things done. John the plummer and Chad the electrician were top notch as well. On more than one occasion when things got slowed down briefly Rick took control and made sure everyone was working on our behalf, on more than one occasion he was at my home in a heartbeat to ensure smooth sailing. We truly felt like this company was on our side. In four and a half weeks our kitchen and master bath was transformed into exactly what we envisioned it to be. SpaceMakers treated us like old friends, always had our backs and if you are considering a project do yourself a favor and call them, their service, professionalism and integrity is supreme. We will definately call them for future projects.

Estimate: We had multiple estimates given on the project, but Rick was the only to give us a solid estimate before leaving. We found them to be right in the middle of the price ranges and time estimates for completion that we received. Time frame: They were able to be pretty flexible with our starting time, which we needed to get our basement cleared out. They also finished the work in exactly the amount of time that had been stated during the estimate. Quality: The quality is great and we have had no issues since the work was completed. Responsiveness: They were excellent in responding when we had questions and when we noticed the banister was still a little loose after all the work was complete, someone was out immediately the next morning to take care of it. Punctuality: Most days we knew when to expect workers to arrive and they always were here on time. I seem to remember a few days when there were subs planned that I was not sure when they would arrive, which was a little frustrating, but 1 or 2 days out of 5 weeks of work is really not a big deal. Especially when it was our choice to be at the house when the workers were here, so there was no alternative way for them to enter. Professionalism: Rick and his designer, Kian, were very easy to work with and helped us tremendously throughout the process. They gave us honest opinions in areas where we could cut cost or in places where they felt it was worth a little extra money to keep up to date with the market. We truly appreciated how they listened our "must-haves" checklist without trying to persuade us into a design we didn't want (one company really liked to argue about the design we wanted). All of the workers were very professional and friendly. They worked extremely hard to get the work accomplished within the time-table set. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the day and I never worried about things being left or messy. Overall it was a great experience and we have already recommended them to friends.
Description of Work: Finished the basement, complete with bathroom, bedroom, entertainment room, and bonus room.

Spacemakers Remodeling was a very good company to work with throughout our entire kitchen remodeling project. Because we started the process several months before our desired remodel date, my wife and I went through several design iterations before settling on our final plan. Rick and Kian were patient through the entire planning process and promptly provided updated drawings and cost estimates each time we had a change. Once the work began, Spacemakers promised to complete the work by a specific date, which was at least a couple of weeks shorter than the duration discussed during the planning phase. There were some challenges along the way, mostly related to coordination and scheduling of intermediate work. Admittedly, we complicated the process by doing the painting ourselves and having an unrelated plumbing project going on at the same time Had this not been the case, I think there would have been fewer issues. Despite the challenges, the work was completed by the promised date and we couldn?t be happier with the final product. We?ve been using the kitchen for three months and have not come across any ?surprises?. The workmanship is top notch. It was a pleasure working with Kian. She went above and beyond to help us choose and locate fixtures, the countertop, backsplash, paint, etc. Rick was definitely committed to doing a quality job. This is reflected in the final product as well as his willingness to stand behind his work and make corrections. For example, we have a minor issue with an exterior door that cannot be resolved until warmer weather in the spring. Rick has promised to return in the spring and has told us we can hold his final payment until the job is complete, even though the door fix, including the labor, should be a fraction of the retained payment.

Spacemakers was outstanding in multiple areas. They were willing to provide a plan and cost estimate at no cost to us. This allowed us to get a good idea of the cost of their work. Their estimate was precise and accurate. As we compared costs with other bidders we usually had to go back to the others to get more information. Spacemakers was prompt. We heard many nightmare stories about contractors being very unreliable. When someone from Spacemakers said they would be there, they were. They were on time, always. Work began everyday at 7:00 sharp and ended about 3-30. Generally, the workers spent an additional 45 mins to clean up at the end of each day. Every worker who entered our home was there at the scheduled time. Usually Kian or Rick would text to confirm their arrivals. Kian, the designer, was phenomenal. She could balance the visions of both my husband and I. She was willing to go shopping with me to multiple stores to choose just the right mirrors at a good price. Her guidence helped us choose just the right products to reflect our tastes. Rick was able to create a new space from an old, outdated one and could quickly solve any unforseen problems. His "don't worry, we can do it" was always true and I knew he would! Tony and all the specialists that worked in our home were friendly, professional and just generally pleasant to have around! The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail was beyond even our highest expectations. Our bathrooms are beautifully finished! Our bathrooms are beautifully finished! I would unequivocally recommend Spacemakers Remodeling to anyone!

Enjoyed working with both Rick and Kian. Job went well. Vanity for master bath would not fit through doorway, so needed to be made in three separate pieces. One comment from friends was, "Looks like hotel bathrooms." Would definitely have them bid on future work.

It went well. The end product is everything we hoped it could be. The design assistance offered and provided by Kian was outstanding. For example, we used three different tile companies for the project as Kian kept looking for what we wanted. We went with a Toto toilet--worth the extra cost. We used Kohler products for the sink and Delta for the shower--very happy with both. The cherry cabinets are Starmark--very good, but the overall quality did not seem as good as Dura-Supreme. We were not satisfied with the finish on the sides of a cabinet tower that sat on our Cambria vanity, but the cabinet company replaced the outer box to our satisfaction. We had white crown molding on the ceiling, but it had to be removed for the popcorn ceiling to be scraped off. New crown molding, painted to match existing crown molding in the rest of the house, was installed. We appreciated SpaceMaker's decision to put up new crown molding, which we realize was a lot of work. Were there bumps in the road?--yes, but they were taken care of as they occurred.
Description of Work: SpaceMakers did a complete remodel of our master bathroom. It was a complicated remodel as it involved removing a huge Jacuzzi and creating a larger shower. Employees of SpaceMakers we worked with were Rick (owner), Kian (designer), and Sean (super handyman). The subcontractors were great--Ian (tile guy), Chad (the electrician), and John (the plumber). Based on their work, we have already hired Chad and John to do additional work in our house. We began this process by getting bids from SpaceMakers and Ispiri. We had used Ispiri for a complete kitchen remodel. We were very happy with their work, but wanted to get an additional bid from another contractor as I felt that we might find a contractor as good as Ispiri, but maybe at a lesser cost without diminishing the quality of the end product. We selected SpaceMakers based on their outstanding reviews on Angie's List. I felt that Ispiri has more overhead costs which would be reflected in their bid. As it turned out Ispiri's bid was significantly higher than SpaceMakers. In the end, we felt that we did not lose anything by hiring SpaceMakers and that the design assistance offered by Kian was as good as, if not better than we would have received from Ispiri. Let me put it this way--if the price from both companies were the same, I do not know which company I would recommend. However that is never going to happen because the Ispiri business has significantly more overhead build into it.

Spacemakers is an excellent company to work with. We first met with Rick and Kian to discuss what we envisioned for our kitchen. My husband had drew up plans and Rick and Kian were more than willing to work with what we provided them. Our kitchen was a full demolition. We removed all cabinetry, a soffit, extended into the dining room, built a mud room and then remodeled our bathroom as well. They worked with us every step of the way from designing the cabinetry to picking the flooring and working with us on the color palette. We had a few bumps along the way but they were more than willing to work with us to ensure we were completely satisfied with the work. The Spacemakers team Rick, Sean and Tony and subcontractors Chad (electrician) and John (plumber) couldn't have been easier to work with, very considerate and very quick to fix any concerns we had. Sean, did most of the work in our home, and he is very meticulous and methodical in his work, making sure everything was as it should be and our house was ?in order? every evening before he left. Having a complete renovation of your main bathroom and kitchen at the same time can be very stressful, and for 5 weeks of your life it is pure chaos. Spacemakers made it as easy as possible and was in contact with us whenever necessary to make sure we knew what was going on each day so we could prepare. We made changes into the project and they were always willing to work with us, whether it was adding to or taking away from the actual project. The finished project is just as gorgeous as I imagined it. I couldn?t be more pleased. We have reemployed Spacemakers to work on our 3-season porch and make it a part of our house.

Rick and Kian met with us a few times with computerized drawings they could fine tune on their monitor right before our eyes. They made it very easy to make sure all of our needs were met by revising the drawings as need be. Not only that, they didn?t simply rush to get this job done ?bare bones.? They went above and beyond with their creative ideas to make our new yoga studio much more functional and aesthetically beautiful with quality materials and done on time and within our budget parameters. Their attention to detail with the selection process to make sure we had the highest quality as well as design with carpet, wood flooring, lighting, and paint was impressive. They offered ideas we never would have thought of and we receive many positive comments on the double-stacking pocket doors to divide the large studio allowing more than one class to be held. Also, the beautiful glass pocket doors and window to ensure a long hallway would be more inviting, spacious and light. Our custom made stage was beyond our expectations. Our Pilates room is much more functional with equipment layout and storage needs. The SpaceMakers team started early and stayed on task to make sure we could move in and keep our classes going when we moved in. This called for a few professional cleanings as the only time we could move from our old studio to the new location was over Memorial weekend. This is unusual for them to work around so many furnishings and equipment but they worked around everything as carefully as they could and assured that all would be cleaned again as need be. We couldn?t have asked for anything more and the communication throughout the entire process was incredible. We knew we never had to worry as we would receive texts, calls and emails in a timely fashion, always. We had complete confidence in SpaceMakers Remodeling and are 100% glad we chose to do this big project with them.
Description of Work: We unexpectedly had to move from our old yoga studio within 30 days. We had used SpaceMakers Remodeling before and knew we could trust them to get the job done quickly, smoothly, with high quality and within our budget. A commercial 2500 sq/ft job of this scope involved gutting out, lots of electrical, plumbing, and framing that needed to be rebuilt to code and inspections cleared. All this was done as well as a very creative design within our 30 day deadline.

Spacemakers is an excellent company. They started the project on April 14 and it was completed on May 26 (which was the timeline promised). First met with Rick Grindland (owner) and Kian Dwyer (designer) in March and explained what we wanted to do. Project involved removing a door into the kitchen, removing a wall between kitchen and diningroom, moving the sink from one area into a penisula between the existing kitchen and diningroom. Rick and Kian got back to us in two weeks to thoroughly go over the bid. At the time, we felt the bid was high, but definitely in the ballpark of other bids we had received. We decided to go ahead with the project. They Installed hardwood floor in kitchen, hung new lights and cabinets, removed all carpeting from livingroom and hallway and refinished and stained floors (1938 red oak) so all matched new floor in kitchen. Installed new vanity, toilet and shower head in bathroom. Spacemakers staff. Rick, Sean and Tony and subcontractors Chad (electrician) and John (plumber) couldn't have been better. Easy to work with, very considerate and very quick to fix any concerns we had. We did have a problem with the floor stain initially, but Rick saw to it that the floor was the color we wanted and not the one the initially applied by the floor sub contractor. All in all it was a pleasant experience (if having your house torn up for 6 weeks can be pleasant) and the result is spectacular.

SpaceMakers Remodeling has been our property management company?s contractor whom we have come to rely on. Rick Grindland, the owner of SpaceMakers Remodeling has developed a business partnership with our company that has been built on integrity and professionalism. If you are looking for an honest contractor, with top-notch skills, at a reasonable price ? search no further. SpaceMakers will deliver beautiful renovations that are done right, done on-time, and on budget. You can confidently call upon Rick and his team to take care of your home projects knowing that you too will have a trusted partner in the remodeling business. Like me, you will find yourself happy to boast of the finished results in your home.
Description of Work: SpaceMakers Remodeling is the primary General Contractor we count on for our 500+ managed properties in the Twin Cities.
We initially talked with four contractors from Angie's List during the bidding process. SpaceMakers stood out as providing the best process for creating the initial project bid. Rick and Kian met with us several times and were quickly bringing tile options to the house to help with the design process. The service provided by Kian at the start related to the design process made SpaceMakers stand out from the pack. The project price from SpaceMakers was slightly higher (couple thousand) than the other bids but we felt the attention to detail related to the design effort justified the higher cost. Kian utilized photos of prior projects on her ipad to really illustrate options with the bathroom design. No other contractor had that level of pictures available to support the in home sales effort. In addition, SpaceMakers worked hard to let us share our desires instead of trying to push a standard way they might want. Working with Kian and Tony during the design process made the process feel as a customer first experience. Total project time from start to finish was around 4 weeks as stated. Rick and Kian were very timely and current on communications using e-mail, text, and phone. Rick kept us updated on the next steps of the process so we were aware of what workers (and when) would be showing up next. During the process SpaceMakers was responsive to questions and addressed any concerns quickly. All workers were polite and professional during the project. Rick and Tony of SpaceMakers were the primary workers in addition to the electrician and plumber. Rick was active in the bidding process and was active during performance of the entire project. Kian also checked in frequently to confirm progress of the project and provided help on the finishing touches of the bathroom design/fixtures. You will get very customized support from Rick and Kian during the entire project. When the project was done, they performed a detailed review with us to ensure we were satisfied with the project. Like any remodeling project, you will have a few change orders and Rick did a good job of keeping the records accurate and approved by us. SpaceMakers creates a very detailed contract at the start so make sure you are clear on any expectations/assumptions for the project at the start to avoid possible change order charges during the project (for example, we had to move a tub vent and the sealant for the shower walls were an upcharge hit during the project). Overall, I would use SpaceMakers again for a future remodeling project at our house.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of master bathroom that was an initial 1997 new construction design. Installed heated floor, new cabinets, shower, floor tile, shower tile, new sink, new toilet, new bathroom fan, and knockdown ceiling. Provided customized design support which included selection of bathroom floor, shower tiles, and fixtures.

We took our time in finding a contractor that would be the right fit for our kitchen remodeling project and are glad we chose SpaceMakers Remodeling. We went to Home Shows and the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase. We saw first-hand the quality of work by SpaceMakers and since the start of our project, there's a number of reasons why we have told others how wonderful our experience has been. First, Rick (the owner) and Kian (the designer) came out to give us the ideas and options for our layout, design and costs. Then, the owner and designer were wonderful to communicate with throughout the project and the crew was top notch. From Tony to Taylor, the electrician and plumber we could not have asked for a better team. We knew from past experience and heard from friends and family how remodels can be a nightmare. SpaceMakers Remodeling and crew were very professional and knowledgeable. We made sure in selecting a contractor that the most important things would be length in business (at least 5 years and SpaceMakers was over 18 years), having trust and feeling comfortable, quality workmanship, reliable, good communication, timely (as we were on a deadline) and many other factors made SpaceMakers a good fit. The architectural designer for the kitchen cabinets was patient with our needs and came up with great options. Kian helped with all of the selections (cabinet style and color, counter top quartz color, back splash, sink, lights, floor, and paint). We are so excited about how everything turned out including the beautiful flooring. We look forward to enjoying our new kitchen for many years! We will use SpaceMakers again for our future lower level project and have already recommended them to others.

It was a wonderful experience for us. This was the first time we remodeled our house. We focused on the kitchen. Rick and Kian were patient with our questions and our concerns. They were both heavily involved from the beginning until the end. They were easy to reach and responded quickly when we had questions throughout the process. Our project was completed in approximately 2 1/2 weeks. The work they did is beautiful!! Our kitchen has been transformed into a more functional and efficient use of space. We recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling their home. I also want to add that the work they had contracted out for (building island cabinets, floor and electrical) was equally high quality and efficient. Everyone we encounter was highly knowledgeable, skilled at their craft and again, patient with our questions and concerns. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed working with Rick and Kian and appreciated their patience and expertise. I was impressed that Rick was so involved as he was. I always imagined the contractor being "behind the scenes" but he was right there in the frontline with us, every step of the way. Kian has a keen eye and talent for design. She was extremely helpful in choosing the right products and colors for our kitchen. I learned a lot from them both! Thank you Space Makers, for everything!!
Description of Work: Spacemakers rerouted wiring in the kitchen, took out walls, put in larger island, new countertops (cambria), backsplash, painted walls and sanded/stained floor.

Rick and Kian were very easy to work with. They provided suggestions and ideas to help us meet our remodeling objectives. It was their idea to push out the back of the house. It gave us a much larger master bath and pantry area. Our bathrooms turned out just the way we envisioned them. They are beautiful. Tony did a great job finishing everything up for us. Chad helped us with any electrical problems. SpaceMakers Remodeling gets an "A" rating from us. Rick and Kian were knowledgeable and fun to work with. We will hire them again in the future.
Description of Work: We completely gutted two bathrooms. We also added a pantry in the kitchen and added an area for a stackable washer / dryer in the kitchen. To accomplish all of this we had to take out walls, remove a built- in desk and a closet in the kitchen area. Rick suggested a floor plan change to give us a larger master bath and also a larger pantry area.

These were pleasant people to work with through the entire ordeal, but I was frustrated they could not do our job. We met them at the trade show. Set up a time to come out to give quote. Looked at the projects and gave good insight on improvements and what could be done for upstairs bathroom remodel, mainfloor bath updates, and granite kitchen countertops. We gathered two or three other quotes. When we decided that we liked them best, I called and did not receive word back. Week later, call returned and apologized as they were sick. Now, very backed up and current client decided to do much more than anticipated, so they could not perform the work. All in all, I appreciated their honesty, but we lost a lot of valuable time, as I wanted this done before the birth of my child. I do appreciate that they offered to have someone else do the work, but it just never felt right, and then added pressure from another contractor, so it wasn't a great experience overall.
Description of Work: Attempted to do an upstairs bathroom remodel. Gave quote only.

Response from SpaceMakers Remodeling
Thank you for your review. We are grateful you gave us the opportunity to help you. We too enjoyed meeting you at the Home Show and giving a complimentary in-home design consultation with ballpark pricing. We are sorry our schedules did not line up for us to perform the work on your project. We hope all’s well and congratulations on your newborn.

We are very happy with our four season porch and it is a room we can enjoy all year 'round. SpaceMakers Remodeling also provided an Interior Designer to help with our project. This was helpful for me assisting with paint colors, stain, and stone selections. In addition the designer helped with furniture layout in the space. Rick the owner of SpaceMakers was always in contact with us regarding our job, very conscientious of his work and receptive to any comments or concerns we had. He and his crew were always prompt and on time to the job. They kept things as neat as can be expected when doing a job like this.
Description of Work: SpaceMakers Remodeling built a four season porch for us. We were on a time crunch to have the porch constructed and completed by 12/20/12 and they delivered. They started the job approx. early November and had the porch completed by 12/20/12.

I met Rick and Kian of Spacemakers at the Metrodome Home Show in January. They were able to make an appointment the following week (January 14) and we began work on my parents shortly after that (Mid-February). Rick and Kian respected the fact that I was managing the project for my parents but with their budget. They didn't question who was the decision maker and offered open lines of communication with me throughout the project. The project was to remove a wall which lined the stairway in between the kitchen and what was a small living room. From the intial consultation, Rick was confident in what he needed to do and provided creative solutions to what I would have previously thought to be problems. I trusted his experience and explanation of things. Spacemakers gutted the space and my vision started coming to life. What I especially loved is that I enjoy design work and remodels immensely. Spacemakers let me do as much or little of the design that I wanted (which ended up being a lot!). For those who don't care for that piece of the project or need assistance, Kian, Spacemaker's Designer, can help along the way. She is super easy to work with and talk to. When I wasn't sure about timing or the process, she never made me feel inferior or dumb for asking. At the end when there were things that needed to be touched up or cleaned from just the general work happening around it, Rick and team took the time to check it out and make good on their work. When I was short few cabinet handles, Rick/team stopped by the store to pick them up which was just another way Spacemakers helped out. Unfortunately, the countertops were delayed a week which pushed the project back a week--but overall the timing was on point. Things I would have liked more visibility to would be a running tab of the original contract AND the change orders on one shared document. I kept my own file but it would have been nice to have both sides looking at the same document and not try to cross-reference throughout the project. All of the contractors Spacemakers worked with (more specifically; Chad the electrician, Dave and Tony) were personable and articulate with their role in the project--which helped ease my mind about how the work was being done and who was in the home. This project was pretty large and extremely time consuming on my part (because I wanted to be involved with the decisions and make the most cost effective choices) but Spacemakers was able to uphold their end of the deal and completed the project in roughly 7 weeks.
Description of Work: Kitchen and living space gutted including soffits, removal of walls and half walls, new closet, kitchen cabinet and hardwood floor installation, half wall built, new baseboards, drywall, interior paint and new front door.

This was a big job with a timeframe of 2 months, which was what Spacemakers estimated, so they were right on track! We started out by having walls knocked down to create an open floor concept. The flooring that we chose for the largest area was a challenge because it is stone, and we chose a versaille pattern which means that there are various size tiles that create a pattern. It turned out that the width of the tiles varied greatly, and it was a lot of extra work for Spacemakers. They worked with us, checking out each tile to make it work. The floor is so gorgeous, and everyone that comes into our place is amazed. The kitchen cabinets and countertops that were recommended to us are also gorgeous. Along the way, we came up with new ideas or variations, and Rick and Kian worked with us on exploring the ideas and making the best decision. Kian shopped with us and helped keep us on track with things that would work well together, and really listened so that she would understand our tastes and needs. Our bathrooms also turned out beautiful - my daughter says that she could die in my bathroom it's so great. They worked with excellent subcontractors who were very professional. We are really happy with the outcome, and also how the process was handled by Spacemakers Remodeling.
Description of Work: We remodeled most of our condo - main living area, kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 closets. The included knocking down walls, all new flooring, cabinets and countertops, plumbing, painting and trim.

The entire experience was pleasurable. We started with initial interviews and Rick and Kian visited our house to survey existing structure. Next was a visit to their show house. From there we were able to settle on a design, pick out our cabinet and counter top styles. Tile was picked out at the tile store. Kian and Rick provided us with a reasonable price quote and a timeline. Construction went very smooth. Sub-contractors were as courteous, knowledgeable and as committed to quality as Rick was. Rick was also accommodating to some minor change orders. Rick?s team always showed up on-time and kept in constant contact with us The project completed before the estimate (first time I ever witnessed that) and on budget

Kian of Space Makers completely redecorated or yoga studio. The energy had been a bit stale and tired. Kian came in and completely lifted our space out of the doldrums. She has incredible vision and style. She knew what we wanted to accomplish and was able to take that and create what felt like a brand new space for us. Her attention to detail is astounding. Kian is a perfectionist which is what you want in a redecorator. This is the second time we have used her services and have always been satisfied beyond expectations.
Description of Work: Redecorated our yoga studio, including retail space, bathroom, pilates room and main studio space.

We had been looking to update the appearance of our kitchen without the expense of replacing all of the cabinets. After working through some options, we had settled on painting the cabinets and replacing the old laminate countertops, along with adding a new cabinet to replace the built-in desk, and doors to turn the space above that desk into an enclosed area. We contacted four remodelers for bids, and were most pleased with the options the Rick and Kian offered in terms of timing and counter materials. As we described our desired result, they listened carefully and offered suggestions when it was apparent we were a little stuck on deciding. They also had a house in Woodbury which they were in the process of completely transforming, so we were able to go see the work they had done in that kitchen. As we began the selection of finishing touches, Kian was also great at sharing sink and faucet options which she felt would work well in style with our chosen countertop, while keeping cost down. Then, as the project kicked in, they were very good at keeping us informed on timing of delivery and installation. There was an issue with the size of the newly made cabinet doors, but they worked quickly with their cabinet maker to get replacements in and installed. All of the installation went very well, with new pieces fitted in perfectly and no easy way to tell they differ from the old. In all, we had a great experience working with SpaceMakers and would happily recommend their work to friends.
Description of Work: Replaced a built-in kitchen desk with a new cabinet, added new cabinet doors to cover an open area above the old desk, replaced laminate countertops with Cambria, sink with engineered granite, garbage disposal, and repaired a broken kitchen drawer.
