Signature Select Contracting

Signature Select's pricing was very competitive. We had Home Depot who went so far as to pull a permit but then backed out (A100 Series Inserts) after at least 8 hours of my time and a visit with their regional manager from Saint Cloud. This process took approximately 6 weeks and they called after I received the permit in the mail, secured financing and said that they had decided they could not do the project due to the difficulty. This significantly delayed our project and was disappointing. Renewal by Andersen (Renewal by Andersen Series inserts) bid on our windows. Renewal by Andersen was 48 percent more, almost double the cost of Sig Select. Sig Select installers had experience with condo windows and knew that we did not need inserts. A different installer in another condo came to the same conclusion independently of Signature Select. The installers were great, knowledgeable, respectful and cleaned up after. These were the A grades for Signature Select. We love our new windows. Heating costs have gone down and the noise level has decreased 90 percent. We live on a busy road and no longer have snow plows waking us up during the night, it has truly brought peace and quiet. Improvement in communication is needed. Prompt answering of emails and phone calls will go a long way towards customer satisfaction. We needed a few adjustments to our windows. Roland came and easily made the adjustments, however it took months and many emails and phone calls. I do know they have made some improvements in follow-up and communication with customers, hopefully this will resolve these issues. We would hire them again.

All work was done professionally. It took a while for our windows to be replaced, but the delay was related to our insurance not the company. Dan Kelly worked hard to get us the best quality windows: Anderson Series 100. No Out Of Pocket Expenses!!! A Roland came out, today, to check on the quality of work done by his employees and he gave us his card and told us to always call him if there are any problems. I like that.... Also, I would like to add that I felt comfortable with the 3 men who installed our windows. They were friendly and respectful of our home. The people who installed our new roof where also friendly and everyone cleaned up after themselves. Mike came out a few days later, after the windows were installed, to do a touch up and paint what needed to be painted. He too was a sweetheart. I'm more than pleased with our new windows. They look terrific and where installed correctly. Any issues we ever had were address and resolved quickly. Thank you Signature Select

6windows were put in the wrong way,/backwards. They ripped off my wall paper and caused other damage. None of the windows are put in correct. They are not caulked and re-used the window stops and trim.

Andersen Windows submitted our email as a lead to this vendor who contacted us. I let the salesman know that if his pricing was competitive, we would then set up a meeting. Received an email bid based on our specs. Price was several thousand dollars higher than any others and did not include everything I had in my specs. I thanked him and told him we would not be interested in continuing with his company. Since informing the salesman of this, I have received several emails: (1) Sent a new bid with retail pricing only for the Andersen windows-no installation costs. He indicated that his installation costs are negotiable. Also stated his company was only one of a few select contractors in the state that is a Certified Andersen Installer. (2) He requested I send him a copy of our lowest bid so he could review it and offer a lower price. I declined, telling him we were getting bids from top listed contractors from Angies List and Consumer Checkbook. I stated that we are NOT price shopping, and that it is important for us to have a good relationship, communication, and trust with the person we work with, and that we had made a decision. His response was "I know we aren't on Angie's List or Consumer Checkbook, but those are paid for services for us. I do intend on using those outlets for more business soon." "If I sent you my best price and it was competitive would you be interested in meeting with me." While I do appreciate his persistence, and I am not sure if this salesman is new and eager to get business; he has not presented a professional impression of himself or his company.
