Seestedt's Carpet & Linoleum

We purchase carpeting and luxury vinyl planking for our new home and are extremely pleased. Both the carpeting and vinyl planking had very little waste when the install was completed. The carpet seams lay flat and are not noticeable at all. We did have an issue when the vinyl flooring was laid in our sunroom. The corner round was missing along the baseboard so new pieces had to be ordered. Violet went out of her way to be certain the new corner round matched our existing baseboard stain. When the sunroom was completed, it looked amazing, along with all the rooms with new carpeting. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Seestedt's for any flooring project.

In the store Garret was very helpful recommending the style, durability, and type of carpet that would meet our needs. Jeremy did our installation and did a great job. The stairway to the basement was very old and the installation was a bit difficult but Jeremy stuck with it, we highly recommend Jeremy. Overall we are very pleased with our installation from Seestedt's and would use them again.

I arranged for all of the work long distance, and they made it easy! The floor looks great. The work was done professionally and with a great attitude despite the hauling of materials and equipment up to the 3rd floor!

Garrett was fantastic to work with! He answered all questions up front (timeframe, pros and cons of their varied selections, how the process would go). He supplied us with a wonderfully detailed itemized quote, and was so flexible when we eventually decided that we would remove the old carpet ourselves, and he removed this cost. Each team of installers was professional and considerate. We will definitely hire this company again in the future.

Seestedt's helpfulness starts with their website, which provides great information about carpets and installation. I visited the showroom and received excellent service, with all my questions being answered clearly -- and without any pressure to buy. Despite the large selection they have, I found the carpet I preferred at another company. So I didn't use Seestedt's for this job. However, I would definitely shop there in the future.

Beautifully. They came out to take measurements when it was convenient for the owner and myself, the buyer of the condo. They clarified what it was I wanted: closets carpeted? ; the color of the metals?; and if I wanted take up and haul away of old carpet. They were willing to wait about a month later to install it as I closed on the condo January 12 and they took measurements before Christmas. They installed it Friday, the day after Peter Galles Painters (found him on Angie's list too) finished. They recommended a great carpet and pad and the price was very good. I also bought two area rugs that are of great quality and are quite beautiful. I especially enjoy my cute ladybug rug. They even sent the area rugs along with the carpet layers. The carpet layers worked steadily and were friendly and did a great job. I am very pleased with my experience with Seestedt's carpeting.

Seestedt's had the best customer service and price around! They were extremely thorough from start to finish to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. The customer service and communication were top notch! I would hire them and would recommend them to anyone I know. It's worth the drive downtown St. Paul. They are not some big company just looking for another number; they truly value you as a person and an important customer.

The initial visit to the store didn't have much for options around the color and price range we were looking for, and after taking a sample home we liked we found out there wouldn't be enough for the space we needed. However, Tina's customer service is great and she was able to order more of the same carpet for the same discounted price. Scheduling was easy, and the installation went very well. We had our trim painted a couple months before and were worried about damage, but the installers were very careful and left no scuffs. Overall we were very happy with Seestedt's service and our carpet.

It went well for the trip to the store, and the installation. I was not familiar with the process and did not realize most carpets have to be ordered from the factory. I had set aside some vacation time for installation. But I had to schedule another day the following week as we waited for the carpet to arrive. It is great quality though and very nice.

Fantastic! Everything about the process was better than we could have imagined. We started working with Tina who helped us choose carpeting and flooring. She was incredible at being able to figure out what we wanted and help us through the thousands of options. What I really appreciated about Tina is she really worked hard to figure out what we wanted, in addition to steering us away from selections that really wouldn't make sense in the long term. She was always available for questions and we really respected her knowledge and advice. The next person we worked with was Paul who came to do the measuring. He was amazing! He is an obvious expert in what he does and was great about answering questions and discussing how things would look-he has a crazy attention to detail. He also gave us great advice about our mudroom which had a previous floor that was incorrectly installed. I really appreciated his time and work to make sure we knew exactly what the final product would look like after installation. Finally we worked with Tom for installation. They were amazing as well. Installation went so quickly and they were so efficient during the process. An example of their attention to detail is that during the stair carpet install, the paint on the stairs was not going to cover the height of the new carpet. There was going to be a small line that we would need to repaint. Instead of installing the carpet and us painting after, Tom offered to come back after the weekend because he felt the painting we would be doing would be too difficult with new carpet installed. I couldn't believe it, we knew it was our responsibility to do it, but he cared so much about the final product, he strongly encouraged us not to let them install it and do the paint the right way. So, Tom worked us into his schedule during the final week so we had time to make our staircase repairs. I think that example is a perfect example of why Seestedt's is such an excellent company. From the first step, each person has been more concerned about our satisfaction and happiness than anything else. I have highly recommended them to all our family and friends. It was an excellent experience.

I have had exceptional service with Seestedt's over the years. This is actually our fourth time using them and I wouldn't even consider purchasing carpet anywhere else. It's a family owned business providing service to the Twin Cities for a considerable number of years. They have a vested interest in customer service as they don't have the overhead other sales like a big-box home improvement store does. My first experience with Seestedt's was almost 20 years ago, yet the faces I see when I return to the store are the same. They have an amazing selection of remnants at significantly reduced cost which is a plus when carpeting smaller rooms. Their longstanding relationship with carpet manufacturers gives them the ability to offer incentives that aren't always available to other sellers. For this purchase, I received 50% off the price of the carpet as a result of a promotion they were having allowing me to choose significantly nicer carpet than my budget would've otherwise allowed. On top of this promotion, they still accepted the Angie's list coupon - a practice that is not typical for most retailers. Their installers are timely, professional, and courteous. Each time we have used them, the work was exceptional. Over the years we have done a significant number of home improvement projects with the typical stress of working with contractors - late, unresponsive, project delays, etc. Working with Seestedt's is the definite exception. Although not related to this project, I think it is worthy to share my first experience with Seestedt's. I used them for an entire house install. After a few months, I noted that the carpet used for the majority of the house was still producing a large amount of fibers during vacuuming. I called Seestedt's and within two days someone came to the house for a sample of the carpet and fibers. A couple weeks later, all the carpet was replaced. I didn't have to contact a carpet manufacturer to negotiate a warranty, or try to arrange removal and replacement. One phone call was all it took. What online and big-box retailers offer in slightly lower prices, is more than offset by the customer service and quality. The reviews for the other guys speak for themselves. As added incentive, using Seestedt's supports a family business and the local economy.

very well - my questions were answered promptly two issues - I had to pick another carpet for part of the condo and the washer & dryer had to be moved but both issues were were handled well and timely so I am very satisfied

The customer service at the store was friendly and knowledgeable. The estimator was prompt and courteous. The installers did a good job of removing the old floor and installing the new. The installation crew only left incidental dust behind. They did a nice job of cleaning up. We will use Seestedt's again when the need arises. They charged a reasonable price for the work performed. The customer service sets them apart from what you would get at a big box store. Nice work!

Very well. The quality of the installation is excellent with no seams or gaps showing. They finished the work on time and cleaned up after themselves. They even vacuumed the new carpet before leaving.

They were very good. I believe their price was comparable. We are very happy with the quality. They had great follow-up. They gave a call and see how things were going and address some concern of mine. They were right on-time. Their professionalism was very good. I would do business with them again. I plan on doing business. We are going to have some carpets replaced probably this summer coming up and we plan on working with them.

Super! Tina was delightful to work with, so helpful! After meeting with her, I decided that I did not have to price shop else where. After delivery & installation, she addressed my concerns and sent her crew out to fix a issue with the stair carpet. So impressed with this company!

I was scheduled for them to be here at 11am. At 11:45am, they still were not here so I called and they had screwed up and put me down for Monday. This is really frustrsting because I have a really busy today and took part of today off to get carpet bids.

Seestedt's did a great job! They were helpful from the time I went into the store to pick out options, to the measuring, and scheduling through to installation. Tina was incredibly helpful and Jason/Jason were professional and did an excellent job on the installation finishing everything in 2.5 days. They had a great selection of vinyl options, good financing, and we will be coming back to them to have carpeting replaced in our upper level.

Very nice all the way through. Salesman was friendly and knowledgable. He suggested looking at remnants as I didn't need a lot of carpet. Nothing in the color I wanted so he helped me find the right one. I took a couple of samples home to finalize color and called to order. He asked when I needs it installed and then made it happen. I got a couple of email updates to let me know things were progressing and to confirm my install appointment

When purchasing our new home we agreed with the sellers to have it replaced prior to closing. Tina took such good care of us through the entire process. We ended up getting a slightly more expensive smartstrand carpet but we were given a great deal. They really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our purchase. Tina even called after our installation to make sure everything went well. Don't think I will buy flooring from anywhere else in the future!
