ROUND BOBBIN SEWING CENTER

Terrible. I had worked with the company before and been very pleased with results and prices. This time they blew it. I picked up my machine and it was jammed from the start. I started exploring and found visible packed junks of lint in the bobbin trace--my only excuse for not finding them myself was that I had just gotten new bifocals! When I took the machine back, along with the lint balls, the technician growled that for $65 I was crazy to expect him to actually look inside the machine. I took the machine home again and it was still jammed. Then I made a third trip back, with the same results. This time, I took my machine to the headquarters of the national distributor for the brand, which at that time was located in the Twin Cities. They acknowledged that it had been damaged by the technician. But since Round Bobbin was one of their major distributors in this area, the headquarters would not put anything in writing, they simply fixed it free.

Excellent. Work was done in a timely manner. I received a phone call to alert me that my machine was ready to be picked up. The machine was clean and replacement parts had been ordered and installed.

MY MACHINE WAS MAKING A DREADFUL NOISE. I HAD IT REPAIRED, AND SO FAR IT'S RUNNING BEAUTIFULLY. I GIVE ROUND BOBBIN HIGH MARKS BECAUSE THE REPAIR WAS MADE SO QUICKLY (AND ON-SITE), WHICH WAS IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE IT WAS AROUND THE HOLIDAYS AND I REALLY NEEDED MY MACHINE. A NOTE: WHEN SHOPPING FOR SEWING MACHINES, GO TO A DEALER -NOT A DISCOUNT STORE OR DEPARTMENT STORE. A GOOD DEALER WILL OFFER CLASSES WITH THE MACHINE, AND EITHER IN-SHOP REPAIRS OR THE NAME OF A REPUTABLE REPAIR TECH.
