Roof to Deck Restoration

They were responsive. They came right out and they were well groomed. The deck looks great. They were very presentable and polite. They were nice and cheerful. They talked to me and explained what they were going to do. They said they would be mailing out an estimate. Which they did. The office woman was very nice. It was a very good experience.

We have a wooden deck which requires power-washing and sealing every 3-4 years. We hired Roof-to-Deck Restoration to do this job in October of 2005. The guys were very professional and responsive and completed the job in 1 day.

Overall the experience went fine. We ran into a few problems but they resolved them quickly. The owner even came out to help with it. They were very responsive. They came back to fix it when I was there so I could monitor their work. They were willing to adjust the price according to the damage that could occurred. They were very willing to work with us to fix the problem if there was any.

The company gives customers printed information and a DVD about the entire process. Our deck cleaning went quickly, probably because the deck was so new. I wasn't clear about how much of their cleaning and sealing process they had to do on our new deck compared to an older deck. Because of a rainy spring, it took a while to get the deck sealed and stained. It took 2 men about 3 hours to seal and stain the deck using "Ready Seal," a sealant and stain that has some good online recommendations. The product seems to be available only for contractors, not consumers. They used pads to apply the sealant/ stain -- not sprayers. The deck looks great. There was some miscommunication about staining some fence posts, which I thought they were going to stain but did not. Because our fence posts are redwood stained and we chose a cedar stain for the deck, there's no way the cedar stain could have covered up the dark redwood. This was a minor issue. They left us a pint bottle of stain in case we need to touch up the deck.

Roof-to-Deck did an excellent job from beginning to end. The estimate was given (we received two other bids) without pressure, and was the lowest bid. They had to work around bad weather but after stripping and with about week of rain having elapsed, the company called just to let us know we were on their schedule. That was appreciated. The work was done quickly and efficiently with no interruption of our daily schedule. They even stripped and stained the latticework that hides the area below the deck we hadn't considered that as necessary since that wood was in real poor shape, but they worked on it and it looks perfect now. Glad they went the extra yard to make the whole deck look nice.

It went very well. They are a very good company. They have high integrity and they are good quality. They were both friendly and professional. They were courteous and on time. They communicated very well.

Great experience, even though no work was done at this time. Quick response, agreeable discussions of the problem, flexibility by R. to D. Since the weather was warming all day, they had reduced the price at first and then when they arrived it was really no longer necessary to melt remaining ice dams. They did not charge me for a service call or trip charge which I greatly appreciated! I will call them again for future work in this or other categories that they handle.

Experience went very well. I told them they would have to bring a ladder through the house to reach the back deck which has no access stairs. They were very reluctant to do this despite my OK. They actually worked out a way to bring the line over the top of the house. One of the guys doing the work then came through the house onto the deck, another lifted the ladder up to him. They didn't have to do that. When they were done they shoveled as much ice off the sidewalk as possible and put down de-icer. They cleaned up after themselves. They showed up when promised. Great job on a very nasty day.

It went fine, nothing unexpected. We had dripping inside, so we were desperate and did not shop around or compare prices.

Great experience. Professional and courteous; all questions answered. Called ahead to confirm work schedule. Did a great job cleaning up after the project was completed. I had two companies bid the work and RTD had the lower bid. I was very satisfied with the work performed.

The company was very responsive. At first, I just filled in a quick survey for an estimated on-line quote. This was way off since they just gave me an average price and we have a large roof. Anyway, they came out and gave a real quote which we accepted. They also included a DVD which described the whole procedure and also had a small discount coupon. They showed up when they said they would and did exactly what they said they would do. The worker was really pleasant and careful not to mess up our landscaping; we have lots of plants, etc. He left a bill for us. Meanwhile, we had found a better coupon in Angie's List magazine. We called the office and they gave us the better price, no hassle. This company was a pleasure to deal with, start to finish. As a recommendation, we recently had our home appraised for insurance. The appraiser thought our roof was new!

Color of the deck is beautiful, the finish is good and the work was done on time. They had a few delays due to weather and then needed to be reminded we were still waiting for the job to get done when the weather cleared up. Was worth the wait. They do a great job of communicating and do not require us to be home to leave all the info we need. They leave a sample of the stain for you to use if some areas wear more than expected before the next repair. I like that they are careful about my plantings near the deck when they clean and finish. Never a mess on our nearby stamped concrete patio either. As long as the work and communication stays this good, we will be customers until we are no longer deck owners!

They only worked on areas that needed it but had to address large sections as to clean only a part of the roof would be too obvious. They did a beautiful job and Todd was very helpful. He explained what he was going to do and when done, he advised me of some other roof related matters I didn't know about. He was most helpful.

Had some issues with scheduling and work quality {small items}, however they were addressed professionally and quickly. End result looked good. {I never had a chance to pound down nails that were sticking up and they did not either}I would use this company again as they handle issues quickly.

Submitted a bid request online and came back with a bid of about $400.I expressed some interest and requestd them to come out and provide a firm proposal which came back with $1200.I accepted their offer & based on their Angie's list reviews,I trusted that they would do a terrific job.They scheduled a Fri to come out and clean the deck.I came home from work and nothing had been done.I contacted Roof to Deck and they forgot to put me on the schedule for Fri.She did contact me back pretty quickly and got me on the schedule for the following week.When I came home, after they had cleaned the deck, there was a board that had fallen off the deck and was laying on the ground.I had then gone inside and could barely see through our windows due to the thick wood fibers that had come off during the cleaning.I called and they sent someone out to fix the board and to look at the windows.That visit resulted them to knock $400 off the total price due to the workers not cleaning up after deck cleaning

Professional and did a great job. It looks amazing and they got the mold stains out of the northside of the house.

Great Job. The deck was cleaned and stripped, sufficient time allowed to dry prior to staining. Late in the season for this work and staff worked around pending weather to completed job. Clean up was also good.

They are responsive and they get back quickly to let you know when they will be out. They show up when they say they will and have been dependable. They do a very good job.

They were very prompt, responsive and professional. I asked that they delay the project for two weeks, and they scheduled me two weeks out. The power washing was done efficiently. They provide you with all of the information you will need to prepare for the project and call to remind you of your responsibilities. Due to weather, and certainly not their fault, it took quite a while for the sealing to get done, but once it was done it was done well. They leave extra oil with the customer in case there are spots that did not absorb the oil well.

Derek was great. He explained the cleaning process thoroughly. He was very neat and was careful with ladders and equipment. The roof looks like new! Great job - would hire again. Reasonable charge for work done.

They were ontime with the estimate and the pressure washing. The staining timetable depended on the weather, and they followed what they told us. I had little interaction with the personnel, but to the extent I did, they were pleasant and polite.

Service was excellent, start to finish. They came when they said they were coming, they did a great job, and they cleaned up afterward. I would definitely use them again.

All appointments did not require me to be there at the house. Bid, first cleaning etc. The third appointment was postponed with little reason other then the person did not show up.

The stain was wearing off, and I called them to come out and take a look. They came right out and agreed that it needed to be re-done. They then came and power washed the deck, and re-stained it without me ever having to make another call. There was no charge as it was under warranty. I could not be more pleased and would recommend them to everyone.

Very satisfied. Good communication about who would do what when, called to say when they would be doing the work, and did it as planned. Roof-to-Deck took over the project when an earlier contractor had been unable to strip the old stain off the deck surface.
