Robson came to us highly recommended by our realtor. We received quotes from a few companies and Robson was the lowest. During the walkthrough, as we were showing him all the work we wanted done, I was impressed with the fact that he seemed very cost conscious. He provided us with an itemized estimate for our project. Once we contacted him to let him know we wanted him to do the work he got things going promptly. We met with the company with whom he was subcontracting to install the vinyl flooring. He was soon at our home installing doors, painting and starting the remodel of our bathroom. He had to special order some doors and as soon as they came in he was at our home the next day finishing up the work. All in all, it took about two weeks to complete the work which was amazing. During the whole process he was very communicative via phone and text. I am very happy with the quality of work, the professionalism and the price.

Did not go well. Told me project would take 2 1/2 wks - took 6 wks and still has left work undone. Flags from day 1. One of his helpers asked to borrow my broom. Contractor showed up to work site on 1st day with no cleaning equipment. Made huge mess. Left scraps, and hazardous materials all over. Upon sending pictures of concern - did not reply for 3 days and that was only after I asked if he got my email. He replied, "Thank you for reminding me to be in touch with you." !!! His contract was a scrap piece of paper. Tried to double bill me at least 2 times. Caused cuts in my siding and would only fix it after I pointed it out to him. Very dishonest. Once he said deck was done, went outside and found at least 15 large deck boards in my sand box, a big pile of dirt, 300 nails, screws, saw bits, strewn throughout my yard. No mitres on edges, posts not flush, black marks on my siding, installed scratched boards, etc. Put screws in top of railing - should not be any screws from the top but should be attached from underneath. Used 2 different sizes of boards - it looks awful. MANY examples of sub-standard quality. 1 example, had 3 seams within a 3 ft cladding board - should have just been 1 piece. Another seam on cladding should be hidden behind stair rail, yet put it at the visual edge. Very clearly not skilled at deck work. His response - 'it's functional and did the best I could' Did not hire him for functional completion and quite clearly his best is sub-standard. Don't know how he can sleep at night treating someone the way that he did. Asked him at least 6 times to clean black marks from roof removal - wouldn't do it. Again, went back on his word. Terrible experience. I hope if nothing else, this review will help protect his next potential victim. Many pictures documented. After I stopped last check because he wouldn't come back and fix step with holes, and wouldn't honor his 1 year warranty, he had audacity to take me to small claims court. Robson Construction gives contractors a bad name. BE WARNED - DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. Again, won't even honor his own word. In addition, failed inspection 3 times.
