Description of Work: Our washing machine overflowed and flooded the entire main floor and basement of our home June 12, 2014. Restoration Prof came at midnight and stayed through the night and next day until standing water, carpet, sheet rock, etc, was removed and fans were running. They packed up both floors and removed and stored our belongings off site. There must have been 20+ people involved overall. Every call was answered and responded immediately. It was if they were parked at the end of our street anticipating every need. We could not have asked for a more professional experience by everyone we dealt with. Our belongings were returned when construction was completed in September. There is no question that we would use Restoration Prof again....we have them on speed dial. They are honest and very hardworking. I am quite sure they don't charge enough for the service(s) preformed and hours spent at our home. Most impressive~every employee that came into our home handed us a business card. THANK YOU! The Johnson Family

Description of Work: I had a flood in my basement. Sheetrock, carpet, linoleum, and wood ruined. They came in and pulled up carpet, cut out wet sheetrock, raised furniture and set up fans, dealt with the insurance company and I only paid $1000. deductable. They arranged to get basement fixed. It all worked out nicely.

carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreThey sent one man to do the carpet cleaning after being told that the home was very large. He gave me an estimate and then proceeded to clean the carpet. The next day, I vacuumed one room and my tank was full of dirt and dog hair. I called them and they asked if the carpet had been vacuumed before cleaning. I said no and they sent someone out to check it out. This time, two men came - one was the guy who cleaned the carpet the first time. He insisted that I had told him to not vacuum because I had already vacuumed. I said I would never tell him to let me do half of his job for him and then pay him full price. They offered to redo the entire home. I said, no, just vacuum it, because I didn't want that kind of wear and tear on my high quality carpet. I was very irritated that they insisted I was wrong and lying and stood by their employee.

+ 0 moreThe finishing was really sloppy. They agreed that it was bad so they resanded and refinished it, but it was still far from acceptable. Our floor still needs to be resanded to correct it. I would not recommend them.
Description of Work: They ripped out the old floor and installed a new one. They sanded the new floor.

The quality of the final product is very good, but it took quite a bit of headache to get there. The work was started almost immediately -- they were very responsive during the job. Unfortunately, the original drywall job (subbed out to) was poorly done. The corners between the ceiling and walls were not clean, parts of the ceiling showed the seams, and one wall had about a 3'' convexity to it...it looked like a parenthesis ->(. Moreover, the drywall team did not adequately protect our custom hardwood floors, which then had to be refinished to remove drywall dust and spills. In the end, RestPro did cover all of the drywall rework and the damaged floors, but this added cost (paid for by the insurance company) and headache as we had to deal with extra repair time. Finally, we were told that we would get some sort of certification that all work was done to standards that would keep mold problems down, and after 3+ phone calls and 2 months I don't have this document yet.
Description of Work: Repaired walls and ceilings that were damaged by a hot water heater that ruptured in the condo above ours. About 600 sq. ft. of ceiling in 4 different rooms was replaced and 1400 sq. ft. of ceiling was resprayed. Probably another 500 sq. ft. of walls were replaced, with much more re-pained. Work was performed as part of an insurance settlement -- we only paid a deductible and not the total cost. I did not rate the Price b/c I did not pay for it myself and did not compare other contractor bids.

Marvin came out that same day. He was very professional and appeared to know what he was talking about. He commented that they do a lot of work for this particular adjuster, and that he would send me a copy of the estimate in about a week. When I called to inquire about the estimate he was very hard to reach. I left several messages for him to call me back. When I did connect with him he stated that he was instructed by his boss, Tim Labey, not to give me a copy of the report. When I called Tim Labey and requested a copy of the promised report, he stated that since the insurance company was the one that sent them out, only they could give me a copy of the report. It was clear that Restoration Professionals interest lies with the insurance company and not with the homeowner. I later found out that the repair was $2,900 and the replacement was $17,000. I went with a different company who's interest was with me the homeowner.
Description of Work: A hole was drilled through the rubber membrane of our ceramic shower. The contractor's insurance company sent Restoration Professionals out for a second estimate. The owner Tim Labey was very persistent in scheduling a meeting. He even left his personal cell number on my voice mail. The meeting took place that same day. The estimator was Marvin Green.

They sent out a microbiologist to evaluate. I liked her, and she responded quickly and provided a thorough quote, but it came in almost twice as high as another company, so we went with the other company. I might contact this company for another future quote but not sure that would hire them.
Description of Work: Got quote to gut our basement. Our 100 year old basement had been refinished some 30-40 years ago, had mold and water damage behind the walls and under carpet, and asbestos tile and pipe insulation. So we needed an environmental abatement company, which they said they could do.

We had an emergency situation with water intrusion in our basement from a faulty sprinkler. We chose Restoration by luck in our panic to call someone, but were very pleased. The team responded quickly and was very professional. It was obvious they knew their business. After a quick look around, one of the guys essentially said ''I know this looks bad to you, but I want to assure you that it is not as bad as it looks right now.'' I think that was the perfect comment and it made us both feel much better. They had the entire situation done in just a few days and kept us well informed as it went. They worked with our insurance company and made it easy for us. Our only ''complaint'' was that the person (subcontractor?) they sent a few days later to re-lay the carpet did not have any identification and had some difficulty communicating in English, so we were not 100% sure who he was or what he was there to do at first. That aside, he did a great job. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Dried water intrusion in basement due to faulty sprinkler. Removed and replaced damaged padding. Dried and reinstalled affected carpeting.

AT FIRST, THEY SEEMED VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND I FELT AS THOUGH I FINALLY HAD A COMPANY WHO WAS ON OUR SIDE, RATHER THAN THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S. HOWEVER, AFTER IT BECAME CLEAR THAT OUR ADJUSTER WOULD BE PROBLEMATIC, TIM STOPPED CALLING ME BACK. I LEFT AT LEAST 3 UNRETURNED MESSAGES, BEFORE BEING FORCED TO FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO DO THE ESTIMATE. RP OBVIOUSLY KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND I RESPECT THEIR NEED TO MAINTAIN A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANIES, BUT THE WAY OUR CLAIM WAS HANDLED WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

THEY HAVE A THERMAL CAMERA THAT CAN DETECT MOISTURE, IF THERE IS ANY, THROUGH THE WALLS OF YOUR HOME. THEY'RE VERY CUSTOMER-FOCUSED AND GOOD PROBLEM SOLVERS. THEY ARE WILLING TO SPEND THE TIME TO GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM.
