Renewal By Andersen

This was supposed to be a one day project, it turned into a six month project. The 1st sub contractor that came to install the windows brought his two children ages 8 & 13 to help with the project. The kids went to the bathroom in our yard twice and they got melted chocolate on my walls. They basically ran around the house for 8 hours on that day. This was the subcontractors first installation and it appeared that he didn't know what he was doing. We had to have Andersen window come back because of the poor installation. They took apart the windows. It took so long because there was no communication between the sales person and the service office. It took about three months to get the new windows in. Once they got the windows in the second time they were all scratched, they made several appointments to try to buff out the scratches to no avail. We finally demanded they get us new windows. In the end they gave us $1000 discount which didn't cover the aggravation or extended time frame.

The person at the display room and the estimator were very professional and very helpful. They were nice, patient people to talk to. However, after getting the estimate, I realize that I am going to have to wait until I have saved some money before I can have the work done!

Renewal did a wonderful job from start to finish. The sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was unsure of what to do with my ugly picture window, and the sales rep. gave me great suggestion, and result is perfect. They totally updated the look of my home. The installation crew did a great job; the work was high quality and very professional. The end result is well worth the slightly higher cost.

Excellent. Took six weeks from commit to installation, but well worth it. Great job! They were respectful & cleaned up after themselves. I got the upstairs windows done and will definitely use this company to replace the rest.

Scheduled an appointment and a subcontractor who was not familiar with the specific model of Andersen windows I had started the repair. He took the screen back to Renewal to be replaced, but in the process of repairing the jamb liner on the other double hung window he damaged the jamb liner and ripped a hole in the screen and did not tell me. I discovered the damage after he left and called the service manager Dave Faddler. Dave came to look at the damage with the subcontractor and helped schedule another appointment to complete the repairs. The next time they sent an experienced employee, Joe Cody, to complete repairs, but it took a few more visits as they discovered they needed to special order a new jamb liner. It took a couple months for all repairs to be completed, but I was not charged any additional fees beyond the initial service charge. I was disappointed with the initial work, but very satisfied with the Service Manager's response and follow up work by Joe Cody.

An overall pleasant experience, from the booth people at the home improvement show, thru the in-house sales visit, to the installation. The sales people let their professionalism and character sell their product. At our residence, they measured, introduced the product, wrote up a bid, and left. They did not engage in any high pressure tactics such as offering a discount if you engage with them on the spot. The installers picked up after themselves. In fact you would not even know they were there except for a few specks of saw dust on the lawn.

I wanted new windows in the same style as the old 1940s windows to preserve the character of the home. I visited the showroom in Roseville to look at window styles and options. I then had a sales rep come to my house for the pricing, and he explained the features and pricing very well. The windows came in ahead of schedule, and when the crew was out sick on the scheduled install date, they were able to get a crew in that same week, with all work done in one day. A few windows need some adjusting, but the service dept has been helpful in scheduling it. The new windows look great and have kept the character of the home. Overall, I'm really happy.

Kim did a fantastic job of explaining how her products worked. She also did a complete inspection of our home for hail damage and determined that there was more damage than initially thought. She worked well with our insurance company adjuster to show the damage to the window frames and why we needed full-frame replacement. The crew that installed the windows did an excellent job with the basic installation as well as the trim work, since all the trim was replaced. The clean-up that they performed was top notch. At the end of the day I couldnt tell they had been in a specific room, except for the look of the new trim on the wall. The job took four days. My house was back to normal at the end of each day.

Justin Hosking was the sales agent. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Although Andersen windows are more expensive than others, I feel the quality of the windows justifies the price. They even install a paper paint strip over the wallboard so you can stain the new molding easily and then just cut the strip off when done. These windows are so much better than the original Sherer Bros. windows installed by the contractor when the house was built.

Renewal by Andersen was an excellent company to work with. There were several steps to the process, and all were handled professionally and punctually. The salesman explained, in detail, all about the windows we were purchasing. We talked about different screen options. After we signed our contract, they sent a technician to measure each window. They then provided a courtesy call before a week before they came to do the work. The installers came and completed this huge job in three days. They were punctual and professional, and very pleasant as well. We were very pleased with our new windows. I also used Angies List to find this company and was very happy I did. I would recommend Renewal by Anderson to anyone who is looking for new windows.

We did 10 full replacement windows in a 30 year old house. We worked with Kim (sales representative) and she worked through all the details and cost options. Our windows came in earlier than expected. It took 2 men 2 days to install everything - windows and all the trim. They were very professional, and you could hardly tell they had been there when they left. Our only complaint was that my husband had to stay home from work to let them in on the second day, and they were 1 & 1/2 hours later than their scheduled arrival time with no explanation. Overall, though, we are very glad we purchased our new windows with Anderson.

The sales rep, Logan, gave me some good design guidance. The crew did a very good job. They did very precise work on the molding -- mitered corners were perfect. They were very polite and made very sure I was happy with their work. Good clean-up.

Got 3 bids (Pella, Home Depot Andersen Windows and R by A). Best price. Salesman was great. Very helpful with options/ideas compared to others. Install went well. One problem. New kitchen window installed in window box over sink. Existing oak ledge slightly off level. They did not fix or advise me of problem. Would have been easy fix at time of install. Called service department. Not much help. Did it myself. Don't feel I should have had to. Also, salesman said they clean them up after install. Made it sound like they are all set to enjoy after install. No they don't. Had to remove all stickers and wash residue off ourselves. Also have found a few loose screws. Wonderful product. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Our sales rep, Bruce Betker, was very professional, courteous, and patient in answering our many questions and in assisting us in deciding on the options available. Being able to see the various window choices in their Roseville showroom was also very helpful. After placing our order, our installation was completed about six weeks later - about two weeks earlier than what we expected. Our installers, Scott & Joe, were also very professional and careful while working in our home. They were done in 2 days and did an excellent job, which included hauling away our old windows and doors, and cleaning up. We are pleased with our new windows and doors; and we were very impressed with everyone's thoroughness and concern for customer satisfaction.

I thought the salesperson was really personable and helpful. They responded to a request for adjusting handles promptly once the windows had been installed.

Mark Rentz from Renewal by Anderson was the salesperson who sold me the patio door. This was the last window that had to be replaced in my home. I have worked with Mark for the past five years with the replacement of all of the windows in my home. I have always been extremely pleased with the professionalism and the quality of Andersons work and the level of service that I have received from all parties at Anderson.

Everyone from customer support, sales, measurement and installation was very friendly and responsive. The only negative experience (and this was minor) was that the lead installer acted a bit unprofessionally towards his colleague, including swearing and yelling at him several times. This really didn't bother me much, but I can see this really offending some customers. Overall my experience was great. They will be my first choice for my next project and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Their product is expensive but worth it.

Andrew showed up on time and was very friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about the product. Not too sales-y. He spoke mostly about replacing the double hung windows with new double hung windows, although I learned after the fact that city code will likely require egress. The windows are pricey, but seem like excellent windows. I didnt purchase them because I dont have the money for them yet!

Wow are their windows expensive. In fact, they came at double our budget. Ouch. While there is no question as to their quality, they won't give you any options... only the best. If you can afford them, go for it. Good luck!

Justin Hosking was punctual, courteous and very informative. The price was excellent. We decided to go with Pella windows, which had features we wanted that Andersen didn't offer. We thought the value for the money was oustanding but went with the more expensive windows so we could get exactly what we wanted. If we were upgrading windows just to sell our house we would have used Renewal by Andersen without hesitation. People I work with used Renewal by Andersen and are very pleased with their windows.

Anderson Renewal performed awesome work when they replaced a standard kitchen window with a patio door. They actually had to cut a huge whole in our house to put in the patio door! They did a great job with the installation and the oak trim work. They cleaned up - you couldnt even tell anyone had done construction work except for our new beautiful patio door!

Work performed on 3/2/2006. The representative Andrew K. that came out was really helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns. After being on the books for a month for the job to be done, I had a family emergency that took me out of state. I was able to reschedule with no problem. The crew called me on the day they where to be here saying they would be delayed but would be here by 9am. They arrived on time and went right to work. The layed rugs down throughout the house so that my carpets wouldn't get to dirty. I had my sister here that was recovering from an accident and they were concerned with her well being since the house would get cold. The finished the job in one day and cleaned up after themselves (except for some scattered small debri on back patio no problem). Got a walkthrough and pointed out small damage. Was told someone will call to schedule that to be repaired. The crew was wonderful and courteous and I can't speak well of them enough. Hire them again in a min.

We had Andersen replace seven of our upstairs windows in November 2005. We have very large gliding windows and the guys put tarps all throughout the house and removed all the old windows and installed the new with a minimum of noise and commotion. They finished up the same day about 3:00 and the city inspector was there, upon completion, to sign the inspection papers. The windows are wonderful. They are easy to lift out of the sills and clean both sides and very easy to operate. The price was so good, I had them do seven windows instead of the six I originally intended to do. We did get a nice discount by stopping at the State Fair display and scheduling our appointment. The price was very good, overall, and the workmanship was very good, too. When I replace the rest of the windows I will have them come back!

Our new windows are easy to open, easy to wash, air tight, sound proof and beautiful. The crew who installed the windows were very competent and pleasant. We are very happy.

MARK WAS ON TIME, SPENT A LOT OF TIMING EXPLAINING THE PROCESS, AND THEN MAKING SURE I WAS COMFORTABLE WITH THE PRODUCTS.
