Estimator was prompt and professional. Main reason we went with another company was because they installed Marvin windows and I perceived Marvin windows to be of higher quality. One of my specific issues was this: Andersen windows come with standard plastic(!) locks. The locks operate smoothly but they looked cheap especially on windows that have lots of wood trim. To upgrade to nicer metal locks cost $125 per lock (or $2000 since some of our sashes would need two locks). Marvin windows come standard with metal locks at least. The cost to upgrade the locks was significantly less per lock (around $25) and they said the sashes all only needed one lock. I had to tell my neighbor who works for Andersen Windows that I'd be installing Marvin Windows.

This whole experience has been great! The saleswoman came to our house and explained the product very thoroughly. She told us what she thought would be a good fit for the house. She was very nice to the dog, very family and pet friendly. She was very personable and helpful. We had also read all sorts of good reviews. They also personally went to the showroom with us, and they knew all their stuff. They were very helpful with deciding what to do, and they quickly did the technical measuring.

So far so good (I've had the windows just over a week). They were cheaper than the other bid I got and the other bid did not include the permit or detectors.

They were very nice and professional. The salesman explained everything to me very well. They were careful of taking care of things and not messing up my house. They had someone come and do some staining for me as well.

This was a minor, but occasionally annoying, problem. With the quick fix, we continue to be very satisfied with the quality of the windows and with Andersen's follow-up.

It was a pleasure doing business with these people. The product was more expensive than other quotes, but I don't think the other products can compare in quality and construction. When I got the final bill, it was exactly what they quoted. I believe you get what you pay for. The windows and patio door are very sturdy, good looking and extremely energy efficient. I was going to replace my air conditioner this year also, but after the new windows were put in, I found out that I don't have to because the house is so much cooler. Everyone from the sales staff to the installers was extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and punctual. We didn't get any high pressure sales tactics like we did from another company. They gave us all the information we asked for and they delivered their product ahead of schedule. It took less than a month from purchase decision to final installation. All of the installation work was completed in less than two days. I would definitely buy from them again.

About a year ago we had a window replaced by Andersen and was very pleased with it. The old blinds fit perfectly (although they don't guarantee that). We hardly had any icing over the winter and the staining job on the wood trim was an excellent match to the existing wood work. We are now doing a major remodeling project of the kitchen and living room and decided as part of the project to replace additional windows. The Andersen rep was very helpful when he came to give the estimate. He explained the various options and provided professional opinions on what would look good. For example, the bay window had grids in it, but he recommended no grid for the double hung windows. He also gave us a detailed printout on the cost at the time of his visit. Once we signed the contract, a different person came to take the window measurements; he arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Windows were ready a few weeks later and installation was scheduled. Two trucks with three installers arrived promptly on time and politely introduced themselves. They worked well as a team and it was very obvious they knew exactly what they were doing. When one of the old windows was removed, the board underneath had some rotting due to moisture. Andersen replaced this board and caulked as needed before installing the new window. We had someone come out the next day to measure for new blinds, and he commented about how perfectly square the windows were, and how the dimensions only changed 1/16th of an inch from the previous measuring. The only thing we noticed (the next day) was that some of the sheetrock seam split between the windows. This was probably due to installation, but not a big deal as we were in the process of remodeling. Our general contractor fixed the problem in the course of his work, so we didn't bother to notify Andersen. We really like the Tru-scene screens. The windows no longer rattle in the wind like the old ones did and the cranks work so much better. The house is noticeably quieter!

They were fine. I don't have strong positive feelings. They don't actually renew anderson windows. They replace them. They were going to put a completely new system on. There was nothing negative about what they did. I just wasn't interested in their product.

They did a fine job and showed up then they said they would.

They arrived on time to do the services asked of them. They were professional while they worked. They were courteous and kind. The quality of their work was good. I would use them in the future. I would recommend them to anybody

I had a total of 12 windows replaced over the past 3 years. This required 3 separate installations. Each time I requested the same crew, as I was extremely impressed with their work. I also had my patio door replaced as well as my bay window removed and replaced with 2 double hung windows. For this project it was required that portions of siding around the window be removed and replaced. They did a marvelous job in matching with the existing quality of my home. Since the window trim was replaced with each new window, I was needing to have the sills stained to match the surrounding area. They were able to refer me to a quality painter that I was very pleased with. The entire project came out fantastic! This is a lifetime investment that was well worth the money spent. I cannot say enough good things about Renewal By Andersen! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The bathroom windows were vinyl so they would match the woodwork. The ones in the kitchen were stained to match the woodwork in the kitchen and they were stained on site so they would match the surrounds perfectly. The windows are very easy to clean. We clean them from the inside so there is no more climbing on the ladder.

Contacted Renewal for an estimate for window replacement. Kim came to our house to recommend/discuss the project, provide an estimate, and tell us how the process would work. She was very easy to work with and gave some good recommendations choosing the window options. After I placed the order, it took about a month or so for the windows to be made (they were ready ahead of schedule). Renewal called to schedule the installation for the next week. The installers (Chad and Josh, I think) did first class work and cleaned up everything except some dust was left (which was unavoidable). A separate subcontractor stained the interior of the windows. This subcontractor was not as easy to work with and in some places they got stain on our walls, floors, and window exteriors (some of which I had to remove myself). They also completely missed one of the windows and did not discuss the varnish/poly coating options with me. Thus, they had to come back another day to correct their work.

The service was very good, fast installation. The windows came in earlier than expected, which was nice.

It was a good experience from start to finish. While I would have loved to replace all windows - Kim worked with me to come up with a plan that was within my budget and ended up planning for 7 replacements. I was expecting a longer wait to get the windows installed so was pleased when they came in earlier than expected. The team that did the installation were courteous, professional and I felt very comfortable with having them in my house. The work that they did was excellent and will definitely request them when I get the next group of windows replaced by (of course) Renewal by Anderson...

Their installation was quick and the salespeople were prompt at responding to matters even after I had made a purchase from them.

Went with a lower bid for this project. I would use this company if price was not the main criterion for the bid.

They have done work for us before. Weve been really happy with them and they are real easy people to work with. They are neat and clean and do whatever you ask within reason. They are there when they say they will be.

In the middle of July, we met with Joe Elias of Renewal with Anderson to purchase and install two sets of french doors and remove our back door. Our house was measured and we signed a contract on July 26, 2007 and gave the company $11,000. After that, I contracted with a plumbing company to purchase and move radiators for $4,000. I received a phone call from Joe on August 27, 2007 to tell me the cost of the project had increased by $6,000. He offered no alternatives. He said he will return our funds to us but will not reimburse us for the radiators.

Renewal by Andersen's sales representative, Chad Hanes, was professional, knowledgeable and personable. The associate that measured the door was courteous and accurate. The door was delivered on time. The installation team was efficient, knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. They did a great job installing the door. There is nothing Renewal by Andersen could have done better. We are more than satisfied with our new door.

Mark was punctual and pleasant. He was helpful, did not pressure and answered questions patiently. My only mild concern was that he did not have an actual window for me to look at. I could have gone to the showroom however. I never give a yes answer on the spot, so he had to come back out with the contract a week later and carefully went over it with me. I think it was less than a week later that they sent someone out to measure exactly. Slightly ahead of schedule the windows were ready and they sent a crew of 3 out to install them in one day. The one day thing was nice, although I did have the impression that the men knew they were to finish in one day and so hurried, leaving more nails and debris behind than I would have liked (both inside and out). This was especially bothersome since I run a daycare in my home and kids and nails do not mix well. But they were very good about starting in the nap rooms so that they would be out of those rooms by afternoon. I love the windows.

This project went well from start to finish. The staff and displays at their Roseville showroom were quite informative; the sales representative who came to our home (Belinda Hopp) was even more so. We signed on May 15th and were told installation would be in 6-8 weeks and take 2-2 1/2 days. They called to schedule for July 3rd, and said that because of the holiday they would try to finish in one day. A crew of 6 arrived at 7:50 AM, and left at 1:50 PM with the job completed. The one addition to the original estimate was for work the sales representative said might be needed, so it wasn't really a surprise. There is a small exterior spot that requires some additional caulking, and has already been scheduled by their service department. The windows themselves are of exceptional quality. Based on our experience, we recommend the company very highly.

Chris Supan and the crew did a great job. We had a good understanding of the project and options before work began. Plans were very specific and detailed. Setting up the installation was easy. The project took less that the full 2 days that were scheduled. The area was left clean. The windows are great.

This was too easy. They quoted 8 weeks to installation and they got it done in 7. The installer came and I showed him where everything was at. I didn't have any contact with them except by phone for the next two days. I didn't need it. They got in and out and didn't leave a mess. The windows are great and all work areas are cleaner than before they came.
